Abstract

Mathematics plays a crucial role in fostering students’ logical, systematic, and critical thinking skills. However, many students still struggle to understand mathematical concepts that are closely related to real-life situations, such as social arithmetic. This study aims to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving skills through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. This research was conducted as Classroom Action Research (CAR) in class VII-1 of MTs. Negeri 1 Boalemo, involving 30 students. The study followed the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles, each with four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected using observation sheets to measure teacher and student activities, and problem-solving tests developed based on Polya’s indicators: understanding the problem, planning a solution, implementing the solution, and reviewing the result. The collected data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively to determine the level of improvement. The results showed a significant increase in the learning process and student achievement. The teacher’s ability to manage learning increased from 55.56% in Cycle I to 88.89% in Cycle II. Student activity rose from 37.50% to 87.50%, and the number of students achieving mastery increased from 53.33% to 90%. Therefore, the PBL model effectively enhances students’ mathematical problem-solving abilities and promotes active, collaborative learning in the classroom.

Abstract

This research aims to produce interactive learning multimedia based on Google sites on sequence and series material in class XI IPA I SMA Negeri 1 Tilango with valid, practical and effective criteria. This research and development (Research and Development) uses the function D model, but its distribution is only carried out on a limited basis in research schools. The subjects in this research were class XI IPA I students at SMA Negeri 1 Tilango. The object of this research is interactive learning multimedia developed based on Google Sites in rows and rows. The results of the research were: (1) This learning multimedia has met the validity criteria because it has gone through the validation stage from 5 validators (5 media validators and 5 material validators). The average response obtained from media and material validators was "Yes", which means that on average validators gave a good response to learning multimedia; (2) the assessment of the practicality of the media has practical criteria in the "Very Good" category by the teacher, with a score of 4.75 and by students in small and large group trials, namely 3.27 and 3.45; (3) the effectiveness of multimedia from the results of the percentage of positive student response questionnaires, namely 86%.

Abstract

The advancement of educational technology has driven the need for innovative learning media, particularly in abstract subjects such as mathematics, including statistics. However, teaching at SMP Negeri 1 Tilango is still predominantly lecture-based and relies on static media, which results in low student engagement and understanding. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive learning media based on Interacty for the statistics material taught to eighth-grade students. This study is a type of research and development (R&D) using the Plomp development model, which consists of five phases: initial investigation, design, realization/construction, test-evaluation-revision, and implementation. The subjects of this study were eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tilango. Validation was conducted by media and content experts, resulting in feasibility percentages of 83.3% (highly feasible) and 80% (feasible), respectively. The limited product trial also showed very positive responses from both teachers (93.75%) and students (86.59%). These results indicate that the interactive learning media based on Interacty meets the criteria of practicality and feasibility in terms of both content and media. Therefore, the developed media is considered suitable for use in the mathematics learning process, particularly in statistics, as it can increase student engagement and help them understand concepts in a more enjoyable and interactive way.

Abstract

Revolusi Industri 4.0 telah membawa perubahan besar dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk pendidikan. Salah satu perubahan tersebut adalah meningkatnya penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research & Development (R&D)bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar matematika yang layak dan praktis untuk materi operasi hitung pecahan di kelas V. Bahan ajar tersebut dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan four-D, namun penyebarannya hanya dilakukan secara terbatas di sekolah peneliti. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan siswa kelas V SDN No.09 Kota Barat, Kota Gorontalo. Hasil dari validasi materi dan ahli media menunjukkan bahwa e-modul yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria baik. Selain itu, hasil respon peserta didik terhadap e-modul tersebut juga positif, dengan rata-rata presentase 88%. Hal ini menunjukkan e-modul matematika pada materi operasi hitung pecahan ini sudah baik dan layak untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar pada materi operasi hitung pecahan di kelas V

Abstract

This study aims to test the practicality of the problem-based mathematics e-module based on circle material. The type of research used is comparative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class IX at SMP Negeri 2 Tilamuta. The results showed that the assessment of using Problem Based Learning -based mathematics e-modules received positive responses from teachers with an average percentage of 87.23% and positive responses from students with an average percentage of 78.45%. The average percentage of teacher and student responses is in the very good category, the module meets the practical criteria. Based on the study result, it can be concluded that the Problem Base Learning -based mathematics e-module, Circle material, fulfils practicality so it is suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a flip book-based e-module for mathematics learning media on rectangular material. This is a research and development aiming to produce a product using the Plomp development model. The subjects of this research are the students in grade VII of SMP Negeri 2 Kwandang. The finding shows that the validity assessment by the material expert and media validators for the e-module obtains an average score of 4,25 and 4,43 respectively. In addition, the assessment of teachers and students on flip book-based e-module on rectangular material obtains positive responses with an average percentage from teachers of 85,39% and from students of 79,85%. The average percentage of positive responses from teachers and student assessment in the very good category, so the e-module can be concluded that the flip book-based e-module for mathematics on rectangular material meets the validity and practicality criteria so that it is suitable for use in learning.
