Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of age, wages, work environment, working hours, and work experience on workforce productivity in the Steel Tower Production Division of PT X using multiple linear regression (SPSS 16). The analysis includes validity, reliability, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and hypothesis testing. Results show no multicollinearity or heteroscedasticity issues. The R² value (0.545) indicates that 54.5% of productivity variance is explained by the independent variables, while 45.5% is influenced by other factors. However, F-test and T-test results indicate that none of the variables significantly affect productivity.This suggests that other factors, such as motivation or job satisfaction, may play a larger role. Future research should explore these aspects to gain deeper insights.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a comprehensive literature review on the application of dynamic system simulation as a decision-making tool. This research is motivated by the complexity of modern problems that require appropriate analytical tools to support better decision-making. The method used in this research is a systematic literature review by following structured steps to ensure that this research is comprehensive and unbiased. The results of this study indicate that dynamic systems are powerful and relevant analytical tools across sectors. With its ability to model dynamic interactions and simulate future scenarios, dynamic systems can help stakeholders make better decisions and achieve more sustainable results in facing complex challenges in the modern era. This study also identifies several challenges in the application of dynamic system simulation, such as lack of awareness of its benefits, lack of expertise in building and analyzing simulation models, as well as limited in-depth research on its application in various contexts. Therefore, further research is needed to address these challenges and improve the application of dynamic system simulation in decision making.

Abstract

This study optimizes resource allocation in Islamic banking using Design of Experiments (DOE) and Orthogonal Arrays (OA) to minimize simulation scenarios while ensuring statistical validity. Focusing on a West Aceh-based bank (4 tellers, 2 CS agents, 5 ATMs), the research addresses operational inefficiencies prolonged queues, resource misalignment conflicting with Sharia principles of efficiency (israf avoidance) and equity, exacerbated by seasonal demand fluctuations. A Full Factorial Design initially generated 40 scenarios (200 iterations), imposing high computational burdens. OA techniques reduced scenarios to 9 (77.5% fewer iterations, 45 total), maintaining a 95% confidence level (z-score=1.96) and 1-minute margin of error. Utility differences between methods were marginal (CS:1.3%, Teller:1.5%, ATM:2.3%) and statistically insignificant, confirming OA’s reliability. Critical interactions (e.g., CS=1 paired with all Teller levels) and balanced configurations (Teller=3 + ATM=3 “sweet spot”) were identified, despite minor imbalances (e.g., ATM=4 tested once). The approach advocates data-driven policies deploying ATMs during CS shortages and optimizing human-technology ratios aligning with Sharia ethics by reducing waste and enhancing equity. With 77.5% computational savings, this methodology offers scalable solutions for Islamic finance and dynamic sectors, bridging statistical rigor with ethical governance in resource optimization.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) is implemented by Industrial Engineering Lecturers at Teuku Umar University as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, with a focus on empowering the youth of Aceh to face the challenges of industrial development following the expiration of the Special Autonomy Fund (Otsus) in 2027, which has played a crucial role in economic activities in Aceh Province. The critical role of the Otsus Fund for Aceh Province must be mitigated to minimise risks after the fund's expiration. The activity themed ‘Industry 4.0 Literacy for High School Students Toward Economic Independence Post-Otsus Aceh’ aims to equip participants with the knowledge to enhance local industrial growth through a more efficient Industry 4.0 approach. Through interactive lectures, structured discussions, and question-and-answer sessions using a pretest-posttest measurement approach, the PKM team can assess improvements in understanding across three critical pillars: understanding Industry 4.0, the Aceh Special Autonomy Fund and the economy, and digital technopreneurship based on local strengths. The community service activity involved 40 students from Calang 1 Public High School, consisting of both female and male students, using a pretest and posttest approach that contained information about the three critical pillars. Technically, the questions on the pretest and posttest were made different in order to obtain objective results. The measurement of ability was carried out for 5 hours, using the Growth Rate Analysis approach, the results showed a 92% increase in learning outcomes, with the average pretest score of 38.2 improving to an average posttest score of 73.3, focusing on topics related to digital transformation and economic independence in Aceh. This programme not only fulfils educational objectives but also instils an entrepreneurial mindset based on Industry 4.0 for the next generation of Aceh.

Abstract

The rapid development of time has reduced the land used by farmers for farming due to development. For that, design a hydroponic system to minimize the land. Chili hydroponic plants are a type of vegetable that has many benefits and is liked by many people. So that hydroponic chili cultivators can produce optimal harvests, a tool is designed using automatic smart control technology using UV lamps. The findings in the field are that there are several steps that must be taken so that hydroponic plants can be more optimal in the results of chili cultivation. The first step is to design a smart plant control automatic tool, then use several sensors including EC sensors, ph sensors, RTC sensors, and ultraviolet lamps. An initial study of the potential benefits to be gained by partners or chili farmers based on the results of field testing is that this technology can maximize harvest time efficiency from manual hydroponic cultivation, which was originally 90 days to 70-80 days. Therefore, the automatic smart plant control system using UV lamps has a harvest speed of 70-80 days, while the manual method can reach 90 days. Thus, it is hoped that the economy of chili cultivators will increase if the smart plant control automatic system is used.

Abstract

Produk terasi merupakan salah satu hasil olahan perikanan yang memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung perekonomian masyarakat pesisir di Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Meskipun demikian, daya saing produk terasi tradisional kerap menghadapi berbagai tantangan, di antaranya kualitas produk yang belum konsisten, sanitasi proses produksi yang kurang optimal, serta ketersediaan bahan baku yang fluktuatif dan berdampak pada biaya produksi. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan meningkatkan kualitas produk terasi melalui penerapan prinsip Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), perbaikan sanitasi dan higiene proses produksi, serta pemanfaatan ikan bycatch sebagai bahan baku alternatif yang bernilai ekonomis namun selama ini kurang dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan mencakup sosialisasi mengenai pentingnya GMP dan sanitasi higiene dan evaluasi hasil pendampingan melalui pretest dan posttest. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman yang signifikan di kalangan kelompok Pokhlahsar Camar Laut. Nilai rata-rata pretest peserta sebesar 55,5 poin meningkat menjadi 84,5 poin setelah edukasi, atau naik sekitar 52 persen. Selain itu, peserta menunjukkan komitmen untuk menerapkan prinsip sanitasi dan prosedur GMP secara konsisten pada kegiatan produksi. Implementasi kegiatan pengabdian ini diharapkan tidak hanya mampu menghasilkan produk terasi yang lebih higienis dan aman dikonsumsi, tetapi juga memiliki daya saing lebih tinggi di pasar lokal maupun nasional. Keberlanjutan edukasi melalui pendampingan menjadi kunci untuk memastikan penerapan hasil edukasi dapat berjalan

Abstract

Coconut (Cocos nucifera) is a strategic commodity for agro-industrial development in Indonesia, especially in Sumatra, which is home to 34.5% of national coconut plantations. One of the major producers, with a coastal geography and tropical climate that is highly suitable for coconut plantations, Aceh Barat, is currently facing the threat of degradation of coconut plantation land loss due to the government's Regional Action Plan for Sustainable Palm Oil Plantations (RAD KSB Aceh 2023-2026). This study aims to look at the total coconut plantation land by integrating geospatial analysis (QGIS) and SARIMAX time series modelling to map coconut plantations in 2024, estimate production trends, and assess the viability of the agro-industry amidst land use conflicts. Results from mapping with QGIS software showed a drastic decrease in coconut area from 3,330.25 hectares in 2022 to 928.2 hectares in 2024. The reduction in coconut plantation area is signalled by RAD KSB's oil palm expansion target of 1,078,728 hectares by 2026. In addition, the results of the mapping obtained several sub-districts with the largest contribution in West Aceh, namely Kaway XVI (234.82 ha) and Muereubo (217.46 ha) of coconut plantation area, while Bubon (16.67 ha) and West Woyla (38.42 ha) experienced significant land conversion. The study also calculated coconut fruit production of 1,229,267 kg (1,229 tonnes) per month from 12 sub-districts, and generated revenue from selling only coconuts of IDR 2.23 billion. SARIMAX forecasts showed high accuracy (RMSE: 700-704; MAPE: 0.19-1.05%) for 10 sub-districts, except Bubon (MAPE: 2.13%) and West Woyla (MAPE: 1.05%) due to data volatility. Furthermore, projections for the next five periods were carried out and obtained results, namely, Period 1 (104,425.88 kg), Period 2 (94,851.07 kg), Period 3 (97,399.50 kg), Period 4 (96,721.21 kg), and Period 5 (96,901.75 kg) which were dominated by stable production in the core area of Kaway XVI: 311,870 kg/month, but volatile in smaller areas. Spatial analysis prioritises Samatiga (58.53 ha) and Arongan Lambalek (79.27 ha) for agro-industrial development, with potential for value-added products.

Abstract

CV Nadha Furniture is a business entity operating in the furniture sector which produces various types of processed wooden goods that have sales value such as doors, frames and windows. The aim of this research is to identify potential hazards at each step of the work and carry out risk assessments, prevention and control of potential hazards found in the production process. The method used in this research is Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment & Risk Control (HIRARC). Based on the results of identifying potential hazards at CV Nadha Furniture, it has 5 potential hazards in the high category and 4 potential hazards in the medium category in the production process, including the raw material selection station has 1 potential hazard in the high category, the raw material cutting station has 2 potential hazard categories. high and 1 potential hazard in the medium category, the pattern forming station has 2 potential hazards in the high category and 1 potential hazard in the medium category, and the vinyl installation station and final checking and packaging stations have 2 potential hazards in the medium category. To minimize the level of risk from potential dangers, risk control is carried out which can be done by using gloves, safety helmets, masks and safety shoes as well as providing job training and conducting safety talks before carrying out work..

Abstract

PT. PERTAMINA Refinery IV in Indonesia tomanages various hazardous materials which have a very high risk at production process, storage, and during distribution. Benzene is that a among these materials can be fatal in the event of an accident such as fire or explosion. The analysis is the making of Pool Fire modeling using Aloha (Areal Location of Hazardous of Artmosphere) and Google Earth. ALOHA software is an application provided by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that can assist in formulating gas dispersion and explosion calculations. In this study, an explosion calculation scenario will be carried out in which, the total zone affected by the explosion was as far as 802 meters and the total population of workers at risk were all in the Refinery Unit IV with a risk of death due to exposure to thermal radiation>10 kW/m2. PT. PERTAMINA Refinery IV di Indonesia mengelola berbagai bahan berbahaya yang memiliki risiko sangat tinggi pada proses produksi, penyimpanan, dan distribusi. Benzena merupakan salah satu bahan yang dapat berakibat fatal jika terjadi kecelakaan seperti kebakaran atau ledakan. Maka oleh itu tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menganalisis risiko radius ledakan yang terjadi secara kuantitatif beserta kriteria risikonya. Pada tahapan pembuatan model Pool Fire menggunakan ALOHA (Areal Location of Hazardous of Artmosphere) dan Google Earth. Software  ALOHA merupakan aplikasi yang disediakan oleh National Oceanic and Administration Atmospheric (NOAA) dan Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) yang dapat membantu dalam melakukan formulasi perhitungan dispersi gas dan ledakan. Pada penelitian ini akan dilakukan skenario perhitungan ledakan yang di mana total zona yang terkena ledakan sejauh 802 meter dan total populasi pekerja yang berisiko semuanya berada di Refinery Unit IV dengan risiko kematian akibat paparan radiasi termal >10 kW/m2.

Abstract

Pendidikan bukan hanya tentang penguasaan materi pelajaran, tetapi juga tentang membentuk karakter dan sikap yang akan membawa siswa meraih keberhasilan di masa depan. Kepemimpinan adalah salah satu nilai yang harus ditanamkan dalam proses pendidikan agar para siswa dapat menjadi individu yang tangguh dan siap menghadapi tantangan kehidupan setelah lulus dari tingkat pendidikan menengah. Atas dasar tersebut pelaksanaan pengabdian untuk menindaklanjuti itu dilakukan oleh tim pengabdi dengan menggunakan metode sosialisasi dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai uji tingkat pemahaman dan pengaplikasian nilai kepemimpinan pada siswa kelas XII di Sekolah MAN 2 Aceh Barat. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan pengabdian tersebut, mayoritas siswa kelas XII baik dari jurusan IPA dan IPS telah memahami materi dan mampu menyelesaikan contoh-contoh kasus problematika yang disajikan dalam kuesioner ketika di akhir pemaparan materi. Hal ini menjadi modal penting bagi para siswa MAN 2 Aceh Barat untuk dapat memimpin dirinya sendiri dan mampu menghadapi berbagai probelmatika yang akan mereka hadapi secara nyata pasca menyelesaikan studinya di sekolah menengah atas.
