Abstract

Rendahnya pemahaman konsep IPA pelajar dan banyaknya miskonsepsi yang mereka alami merupakan masalah yang terus ditemukan dalam pendidikan IPA. Berbagai upaya diperlukan untuk mengatasinya. Teks Perubahan Konseptual (TPK) adalah bahan ajar yang ditujukan untuk merubah pemahaman konsep dari konsepsi kurang saintifik menjadi konsepsi saintifik dan dari miskonsepsi menjadi konsepsi benar. TPK disusun berdasarkan teori perubahan konseptual Posner dkk tentang syarat kondisi terjadinya perubahan konseptual, yaitu dissatisfaksi terhadap konsep lama, dan konsep pengganti harus intelligible, plausible, dan fruitful. Tulisan menjelaskan teori dan praktek penyusunan TPK dengan menggunakan metode kajian literatur dan refleksi perkembangan penyusunan TPK yang sedang dilakukan. Kontribusi tulisan diharapkan memberi pengetahuan baru langkah-langkah mengembangkan TPK untuk materi ajar tertentu bagi para peneliti bidang pendidikan dan pengajar IPA.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan pengembangan satu set bahan ajar teks perubahan konseptual berbasis teori perubahan konseptual pada kinematika yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian pengembangan bahan ajar ini menggunakan model pengembangan Rowntree yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap evaluasi. Pada tahap evaluasi peneliti menggunakan evaluasi formatif Tessmer berupa self evaluation, expert review, one to one evaluation, dan small group evaluation. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi ahli dan angket. Hasil analisis data pada tahap expert review diperoleh rata-rata validasi ahli sebesar 4,13 dengan kategori valid. Pada tahap one-to-one evaluation dan small group evaluation diperoleh persentase rata-rata dari lembar angket mahasiswa  sebesar  81,39% dan 81,75% dengan kategori praktis. Dengan demikian, telah berhasil dikembangkan bahan ajar teks perubahan konseptual berbasis teori perubahan konseptual pada kinematika yang valid dan praktis. Bahan ajar teks perubahan konseptual ini dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan meremediasi miskonsepsi materi kinematika.

Abstract

A research to explore Physics Education Study Program students’ conceptual understanding on motion and force has been done. The research used quantitative and qualitative mix-method. The instrument used was the Indonesian version of Force Concept Inventory (FCI). The results showed that the level of students’ conceptual understanding on motion and force was 18,08%, and the level of their conceptual mastery for each of six-areas were between 9,9% and 26,2%, with the tendency the students more difficult to mastery the higher concepts. From 21 concepts, 19 concepts were well understood by less than 30% students and 2 others concepts by less than 50% students. Among the most difficult concepts to understand were: velocity direction constant if there is no force work, effect of weight/mass in acceleration of falling object, discriminate acceleration and velocity, contact force of air resistance, relationship between constant force and constant acceleration, first law for cancelling forces, and third law for continuous forces. The conclusion was the students’ conceptual mastery is low for all of motion and force materials. It is suggested that the lecturer of Basic Physics course concerns about students’ conceptual understanding and look for specific strategy to promote students’ conceptual understanding on motion and force.AbstrakTelah dilakukan penelitian untuk melihat pemahaman konsep mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika pada materi gerak dan gaya. Penelitian menggunakan metode gabungan kuantitatif-kualitatif. Instrument yang digunakan adalah Force Concept Inventory (FCI) versi Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil penelitian adalah didapatkan tingkat pemahaman konsep gerak dan gaya 18,08%. Tingkat penguasaan untuk masing-masing dari enam area gerak dan gaya adalah pada rentang 9,9% - 26,2% dengan kecendrungan semakin sedikit mahasiswa menguasai konsep yang lebih tinggi. Dari 21 konsep, 19 konsep dipahami dengan baik oleh kurang dari 30% mahasiswa dan 2 konsep lainnya kurang oleh 50% mahasiswa. Beberapa konsep yang paling sulit dipahami adalah: arah kecepatan konstan jika tidak ada gaya yang bekerja, pengaruh berat/massa pada percepatan benda jatuh, membedakan percepatan dan kecepatan, gaya kontak gesekan fluida (udara), hubungan gaya konstan dengan percepatan konstan, hukum 1 untuk gaya yang saling meniadakan, dan hukun 3 untuk gaya kontinu. Kesimpulan adalah tingkat penguasaan konsep rendah secara merata diseluruh materi gerak dan gaya. Implikasi dari penelitian adalah pengampu mata kuliah perlu memperhatikan pemahaman konsep dan mencarikan strategi spesifik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep pada materi gerak dan gaya.

Abstract

Assessment requires not only knowledge but also skills. Meanwhile, not all science teachers in Ogan Ilir understand and receive training on how to assess the desired assessment in the curriculum, especially assessments for higher-order thinking skills. The purpose of this community service activity is for participants to be able to develop higher-level thinking assessment instruments for science learning in junior high schools. The activity was packaged in the form of training which was attended by 22 people from the Ogan Ilir Regency IPA MGMP. Training is carried out with an in-service training (in) - on the job training (on) - in-service training (in) pattern. In the in-service training activity, 1 participant studied and discussed the material presented by the resource person. During on the job training, participants carry out learning activities independently to develop assessment instruments according to the tasks given in in-service training activities 1. In in-service training activity 2, participants reported and discussed the results of activities carried out during on the job training facilitated by the resource persons. The results of the training showed that participants were able to develop assessment instruments. A number of obstacles were encountered in this training. In the process aspect, the main obstacle faced is limited interaction due to the implementation of health protocols due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In the aspect of implementing training results, the main obstacle is the lack of mutual understanding of the importance of training learners to think at a higher level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah peserta didik dalam pembelajaran berbasis laboratorium virtual pada materi Dinamika Gerak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre experimental dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2020/2021 di salah satu Madrasah Aliyah (MA) kota Prabumulih. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X IPA, yakni sebanyak tiga kelas, dengan satu kelas sampel yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kuantitatif penguasaan konsep diperoleh melalui pemberian tes secara online dengan bentuk pilihan ganda. Tes diberikan sebanyak dua kali, yakni pre-test dan post-test. Data kuantitatif sikap ilmiah didapat melalui lembar observasi yang diamati selama kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa terdapat hubungan penguasaan konsep dan sikap ilmiah peserta didik dalam pembelajaran berbasis laboratorium virtual pada materi Dinamika Gerak.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a set of e-module teaching materials equipped with conceptual change text based on conceptual change theory on the Solar System materials. The research method used was Educational Design Research (EDR) with the Plomp model. The research consisted of three stages, namely the preliminary study, design development and product testing. At the initial stage, an analysis of competencies, essential materials, and misconceptions experienced by students in the Solar System material was carried out. There were major misconceptions such as the Sun as the biggest star, the motion of the planets that are always the same, the phases of the moon, revolution and rotation of the earth, Kepler's Laws II and III, solar eclipses, and Newton's gravity that occurs between the earth and the moon as well as the earth and the sun. These findings are the basis for developing the e-module. Based on the validation and practicality tests, the validation level was obtained at 3.85 which means very valid category and practicality at 93% means very practical category. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed e-module teaching materials based on the conceptual change on the Solar System topics are valid and practical.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the misconceptions that occur in the material of temperature and heat, high school students in class XI IPA1. The research design used survey research with sampling using simple random sampling. The research data were obtained through a multiple-choice test of concept questions with a response index certainty answer sheet (CRI, and open interviews with 3 students. The sample was collected again by 20 students of SMAN 2 OKU. The findings of this study are, the misconceptions contained in each temperature sub-concept and heat. The highest percentage of misconceptions is found in the increase sub-concept by 53.3% with the medium misconception category, and the lowest is in the heat transfer sub-concept by 20% with the low misconception category. It has been found that the causes of misconceptions, among others, students rarely get teaching about the concept, wrong prior knowledge, counting and memorizing, and teachers who teach also facilitate students to think analytically Teachers are expected to be able to change the process of learning activities into a meaningful process for students through varied methods and models, one way is by using student centered conceptual text learning.

Abstract

The development of valid and practical electronic student worksheets based on the theory of conceptual change in thermodynamics material has been completed. This development research uses the Rowntree development model which consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage. At the evaluation stage, the researcher used Tessmer's formative evaluation in the form of self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection instruments used expert validation sheets and questionnaires. The results of data analysis at the expert review stage obtained an average expert validation of 4.4 with a very valid category. The average of the student questionnaire sheets in the one-on-one evaluation and small group evaluation phases was 4.4 and 4.5, respectively, with a very practical category. Thus, an electronic student worksheet based on the theory of conceptual change has been successfully developed on valid and practical thermodynamic material. This electronic student worksheet can be used to clarify conceptual understanding and correct thermodynamics misconceptions. Abstract

This study is a descriptive study that aims to analyze the understanding of the concept of students in science subjects on the material of light and optical devices as well as the causes of student misconceptions. This study was conducted on VIII grade students in SMP Negeri 5 Palembang. The subjects of this study were 100 eighth grade students in SMP Negeri 5 Palembang. The instrument used is a set of diagnostic tests consisting of 10 items of questions from physpot which has been translated and tested for validity. Data retrieval method is done by providing a test of understanding the concept of multiple choice questions as many as 10 items equipped with CRI (Certainty if Response Index) with a scale (0-5). In this study it was found that the average score obtained by students from the test is quite low at 50%. In addition, 9.28% had misconceptions, 38.5% did not understand the concept, and 28.5% had understood the concept. Some of the findings identified misconceptions include: (1) only white objects that can reflect light in a dark room, (2) points near the eyes of patients with hypermetropy, (3). light propagates about transparent objects and (4). light reflected from smooth surfaces.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian survei untuk mengetahui kebutuhan guru terhadap suatu produk berupa ebook pembelajaran untuk peserta didik, Penelitian ini merupakan bagian dari penelitian pengembangan pada tahap studi pendahuluan. Ebook yang akan dikembangkan adalah ebook pada materi fisika. Pengembangan ebook ini diharapkan dapat memudahkan peserta didik dalam mempelajari fisika dan dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar tambahan selain buku paket di sekolah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket atau kuisioner, angket tersebut disebarkan dengan menggunakan platform google form kepada guru-guru fisika SMP dan SMA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru fisika membutuhkan ebook pembelajaran untuk mempermudah proses pembelajaran khususnya pada materi fisika. Karena ebook lebih mudah dan praktis digunakan dan sesuai dengan revolusi industri 4.0 yang semakin mengarah dalam penggunaan IT.Kata Kunci: Analisis Kebutuhan, Ebook, Pembelajaran FisikaABSTRACTPurpose of the research is for at the preliminary study stage. The ebook that will be developed is an ebook on physics material. The development of this ebook is expected to make it easier for students to learn physics and can be used as an additional learning resource in addition to textbooks at school. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire or questionnaire, the questionnaire was distributed using the google form platform to middle and high school physics teachers. The results showed that physics teachers needed learning ebooks to facilitate the learning process, especially in physics.
