Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital technology has increased children's exposure to smartphones, the internet, and digital media, creating both learning opportunities and risks, including harmful content, internet addiction, cyberbullying, and reduced family interaction. This community service program aimed to strengthen parents' understanding of digital parenting to support children's character development in the digital era. The program was conducted on September 10, 2025, at Tegalaampel Village Hall and involved 113 parents and guardians of students from MIM Tegalaampel. The intervention consisted of a parenting seminar and interactive discussions covering digital literacy, family communication, guidelines for managing children's screen time and digital content, gadget-free quality time, positive discipline through rewards and consequences, and strengthened collaboration between families and schools. The program improved participants' understanding of effective digital parenting practices and strategies for managing children's technology use while fostering positive character development. These findings suggest that enhancing parental capacity through digital parenting education and sustained family–school collaboration provides an effective approach to strengthening children's character in the digital age.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how extracurricular program management is implemented in enhancing students’ creativity in elementary schools. Creativity is an important aspect of the development of elementary school- aged children because it plays a role in fostering critical, innovative, and independent thinking skills. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in- depth interviews with principals, extracurricular teachers, and students, as well as documentation studies. The findings indicate that effective management of extracurricular programs involves thorough planning, organization of human resources and facilities, implementation of varied activities based on students’ interests, and regular evaluations that encourage continuous program improvement. Extracurricular activities such as arts, sports, and science provide opportunities for students to express their creative ideas and build self- confidence. Challenges encountered include limited facilities, restricted time, and insufficient training for instructors. However, with support from schools and parental involvement, extracurricular programs can serve as an effective platform for developing students’ creativity. The conclusion of this study is that structured extracurricular program management, oriented toward the development of students’ potential, can make a significant contribution to enhancing creativity at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Objectives:  This study aims to optimize the Tahfizhul Qur’an program to strengthen students’ religious character based on Progressive Islam at MIM Adab Baleharjo, Pacitan, Indonesia. Method: A qualitative descriptive approach was used to examine character education through Quran memorization at MIM Adab Baleharjo, Pacitan. Purposively selected informants included students, tahfizh teachers, parents, and principals. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with triangulation ensuring credibility and validity. Results: The study shows that the Tahfidzul Qur’an program strengthens students’ character particularly discipline, honesty, responsibility, empathy, and love for the Qur’an while reflecting Progressive Islam values such as renewal (tajdid), rationality, social justice, moderation, inclusivity, and educational technology Theoretical Contribution: Theoretically, this research enhances Islamic character education by strengthening a holistic approach that integrates Qur’an memorization with Progressive Islamic values, in line with Thomas Lickona’s framework and Al-Ghazali’s moral education concept. Implication: The Qur’an memorization program can be an alternative to build character and instill progressive Islamic values. This study is limited to a single site and a qualitative design, reducing its generalizability. Future research should use mixed methods and examine the various influences of memorizing the Qur’an

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the competencies of Muhammadiyah elementary school teachers in integrating progressive Islamic da’wah through the use of ClassDojo and to identify various challenges in its implementation. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design in Pacitan Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, focus group discussions, and document analysis involving 20 teachers, school principals or coordinators, and parents. The results show that most teachers view the reinforcement of spiritual values and character as an important part of learning and see ClassDojo as a potential tool to support the cultivation of positive behaviors, communication between the school and parents, and the reinforcement of Islamic values such as discipline, responsibility, empathy, and good manners. In terms of competencies, teachers demonstrated fairly strong proficiency in pedagogical, professional, and social aspects; however, strengthening spiritual competencies and digital literacy still requires further attention. This study also identified several implementation challenges, including limited access to the internet and devices, varying levels of teachers’ proficiency in operating the app, suboptimal support from school policies, as well as potential issues regarding ethics, privacy, and the dilution of the educational value of guidance when children’s behavior becomes overly focused on the point system. Thus, the use of ClassDojo within the framework of progressive Islamic da’wah holds great potential for strengthening character education in Muhammadiyah elementary schools, but it requires support in the form of teacher training, reflective pedagogical design, and ethical and context-appropriate governance of the digital platform’s use.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the implementation of classroom management in the Tahfidz acceleration program for Al-Qur'an learning at MI Muhammadiyah Gumantar, Klaten. Methodology: The research focuses on teaching methods, teacher strategies in managing the class, challenges encountered, and active solutions applied. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, Tahfidz teachers, and students in the accelerated class. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation.Results: The results of the study show that the talaqqi, ziyadah, and muroja'ah methods are applied in a structured manner through classroom management strategies that emphasize small group division, motivation reinforcement, and effective time management. Challenges arise in relation to variations in student concentration and suboptimal learning support at home. This study offers an original contribution in the form of an adaptive classroom management model that can be applied to accelerated tahfidz programs in Islamic schools.Applications/Originality/Value: These findings have practical value for the development of Islamic education practices, particularly in improving the effectiveness of tahfidz learning through classroom management that is responsive to student needs.

Abstract

Perpustakaan menghadapi tantangan besar dalam mengelola sumber daya dan layanan mereka di era digital ini. Teknologi informasi telah menjadi kunci dalam memfasilitasi transformasi ini, memungkinkan perpustakaan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mengoptimalkan aksesibilitas koleksi, dan meningkatkan layanan kepada pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis peran Teknologi Informasi dalam transformasi manajemen perpustakaan dari perspektif literatur. Studi ini mengumpulkan dan menganalisis literatur terkait untuk mengeksplorasi berbagai aspek peran teknologi informasi dalam transformasi manajemen perpustakaan. Analisis ini mencakup penerapan sistem manajemen perpustakaan berbasis teknologi, penggunaan internet dan basis data elektronik untuk mengelola dan menyediakan akses ke koleksi, serta integrasi teknologi untuk meningkatkan layanan seperti layanan rujukan online, akses jarak jauh, dan repositori digital.Hasil analisis ini menggambarkan bahwa teknologi informasi tidak hanya mengubah cara perpustakaan menyediakan layanan, tetapi juga mempengaruhi cara pengguna berinteraksi dengan informasi dan pengetahuan. Selain itu, tantangan seperti perlunya perlindungan data pribadi pengguna dan keamanan informasi dalam konteks penggunaan teknologi juga dibahas. Kesimpulannya, perpustakaan modern diharapkan untuk terus mengintegrasikan teknologi informasi dalam strategi manajemen mereka guna memenuhi tuntutan pengguna yang semakin kompleks dan dinamis. Studi ini memberikan wawasan tentang bagaimana penerapan teknologi informasi dapat mendukung transformasi perpustakaan menuju lingkungan yang lebih efisien dan responsif terhadap kebutuhan informasi masyarakat saat ini.

Abstract

Tujuan utama dari aktivitas pengabdian ini yaitu mengadakan workshop bagi guru-guru di SDN 03 Plumbon dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran inovatif variatif. Secara tersurat, hasil pengabdian ini dinantikan mampu memajukan pemahaman serta ketrampilan guru tentang media pembelajaran, juga memperkenalkan pendekatan inovatif dan variatif dalam membuat materi pembelajaran untuk siswa SD. Luaran lain dari pengabdian ini yaitu publikasi artikel pada jurnal pengabdian masyarakat. Dalam pengabdian ini terdapat lima fase utama, mulai dari perencanaan hingga publikasi dengan mahasiswa berperan sebagai pemateri pendamping sedangkan dosen menjadi pemateri utama. Tim yang terdiri dari tiga mahasiswa dan satu dosen melaksankan workshop yang dihadiri oleh sembilan guru dan satu kepala sekolah. Workshop dilaksanakan dengan kegiatan tatap muka pada pembekalan materi. Materi workshop disampaikan melalui PowerPoint, serta diikuti praktik pembuatan media pembelajaran. Evaluasi pencapaian workshop ini didasarkan terhadap tugas yang dikerjakan. Tugas menciptakan media pembelajaran inovatif dan variatif diukur berdasarkan kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa serta materi kurikulum yang diajarkan.
