Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of employee engagement and perceived program usefulness on employee retention with the meaning of work as a mediating variable in the implementation of the digital-based CSR program Sedekah Sampah (Trash Charity) at PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk. The CSR program is part of the company's sustainability strategy that is not only oriented towards environmental impacts but also designed to increase active employee participation through the process of internalizing company values. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis method. The research data were obtained from 169 respondents who met the criteria as active participants of the Sedekah Sampah program. The results show that employee engagement and perceived program usefulness have a positive effect on the meaning of work and employee retention, both directly and indirectly through the meaning of work as a mediating variable. These findings indicate that participatory CSR not only contributes to the formation of the company's external image but also has significant implications for employee work attitudes and loyalty. Theoretically, this study strengthens the role of the meaning of work within the CSR framework, while practically provides managerial recommendations for designing sustainability programs that position employees as important actors in achieving company goals.

Abstract

Teacher’s digital literacy competence is crucially important in education nowadays, and a number of scholars have measured the quality of teacher’s digital literacy skills. The available instruments have been developed to assess digital literacy skills of adolescents and graduate school students, while digital literacy skills of prospective teachers have received little attention. This study aimed at developing and validating an instrument to measure digital literacy skills particular to prospective Indonesian EFL teachers. To this end, this study piloted a theoretical model based on a review of the related literature, interviews with Indonesian EFL learners majoring in English Language Education Department and EFL lecturers in East Java, North Sumatera, Central Sulawesi, West Kalimantan, West Papua, East Nusa Tenggara, and Bali. Later, the results were used to verify and develop the digital literacy scale. After developing the scale and administering it to 336 Indonesian EFL learners from seven cities in Indonesia, the researchers validated the scale through both exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. This study exposes a comprehensive picture of prospective teachers’ digital literacy skills in EFL contexts in terms of eight factors: creative skill, technological skill, personal security skill, internet safety skill, problem-solving skill, informational skill, and communication or netiquette skill. This scale is a valid and reliable tool, and will be useful as an instrument on EFL teachers’ digital literacy skills. The final form of this scale can inform policy development, curriculum design, and training initiatives for prospective EFL teachers targeting digital literacy competence.

Abstract

The transformation of energy in the agricultural sector has become a central agenda in enhancing efficiency and sustainability. PT PLN (Persero), through the Electrifying Agriculture (EA) program, aims to promote the adoption of electric pumps among farmers. However, adoption rates vary significantly, influenced by multiple factors that have not been comprehensively identified. This study examines the determinants of farmers’ adoption decisions using the Diffusion of Innovations (DOI) theory, which comprises five key dimensions: Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity, Trialability, and Observability, with Intention as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was applied using Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with a sample of 379 farmers in the PT PLN (Persero) UP3 Ponorogo service area, selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that Relative Advantage and Compatibility significantly and positively influence adoption intention, whereas Complexity has a negative impact. Trialability and Observability also contribute moderately to adoption decisions. Intention significantly mediates the relationship between all five DOI dimensions and adoption behavior. These results provide strategic recommendations for PT PLN (Persero) to enhance the effectiveness of the Electrifying Agriculture program.

Abstract

In the digital era, social media has become a powerful platform for brand promotion, with celebrity endorsers playing a key role in influencing consumer behavior. This study aims to evaluate celebrity endorsers' impact on enhancing Miracle Face Mist Sugarlab's brand awareness and examine the relationship between social media marketing efforts, brand awareness, and purchase intention. A quantitative approach was employed, and data were analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis (MRA) through the SPSS Process tool to test the proposed hypotheses. The study focused on identifying how digital celebrity endorsements affect brand perception and consumer decision-making. The findings indicate that both social media marketing activities and the presence of celebrity endorsers significantly increase brand awareness. Furthermore, brand awareness was found to affect consumers’ intention to purchase the product strongly. These results highlight the importance of strategic influencer collaboration and effective social media engagement in driving brand visibility and consumer interest. The implications of this research suggest that beauty and skincare brands can optimize marketing outcomes by leveraging well-targeted celebrity endorsers in digital campaigns, thereby enhancing consumer trust and purchase likelihood.

Abstract

The intensifying competition in the digital banking sector, accelerated by shifts in consumer behavior, underscores the critical role of customer trust and satisfaction in fostering loyalty. This study investigates the effect of trust in mobile banking on e-customer loyalty, with re-use intention as a mediating variable, utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) framework. This research employs a quantitative descriptive approach to examine whether customer satisfaction and trust have a noteworthy impact on loyalty when using mobile banking, with re-use intention acting as a mediating variable. The study’s sampling strategy is snowball sampling, which is conducted randomly. Questionnaire data are used as the method to gather information for this investigation. Beginning with data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion explanation, the data analysis procedures are implemented in multiple phases. The findings, analyzed using SPSS, demonstrate that both customer trust and satisfaction significantly and positively influence loyalty. Furthermore, trust is found to significantly affect re-use intention, which, in turn, acts as a strong and significant mediator between trust and loyalty. The research model explains 95.4% of the variance in loyalty. The study implies that banks should prioritize building robust security and trustworthiness while enhancing user satisfaction to strengthen re-use intention and, ultimately, cultivate long-term customer loyalty in the competitive digital banking landscape.

Abstract

Project-based learning is one of the learning methods that is widely favored in schools and universities. So, it is important to study how much impact this method has in terms of student learning experience. Project-based learning involves many students in interactive impacts. This study is a quantitative study with the aim of studying the impact of socioeconomic variables, entrepreneurship, and student learning motivation on the success of learning International Business courses based on projects mediated by the self-efficacy variable. This study will answer 10 hypotheses. The analysis technique uses the Structure Equation Model (SEM). The population is second-semester students in the Management study program who take International Business courses with project-based learning methods. The data collection method uses a questionnaire distributed to 270 student respondents. The tools used are SEM-PLS. The results of this study reveal that self-efficacy is able to moderate the influence of socioeconomic, entrepreneurship, and student learning motivation on the success of Learning International courses based on Projects. The results of this study reveal three interesting things. First, learning motivation has a positive effect on self-efficacy. Second, self-efficacy has an effect on project-based learning. Third, self-efficacy can mediate students' learning motivation toward project-based learning. This means that the higher the learning motivation, the greater the impact on learning outcomes. Therefore, it is important for educators to provide motivational support to students so that learning objectives are achieved.

Abstract

Hospitals are service-oriented industries that involve intensive interaction between staff and patients. Emotional exhaustion resulting from the demands of constant interaction can reduce organisational commitment, which in turn drives staff to consider leaving their jobs. This study aims to analyse the influence of Emotional Labour and Emotional Exhaustion on Turnover Intention, with Job Satisfaction acting as a mediating variable. The method used in this study is quantitative, employing SEM-PLS data analysis. The study sample comprised 107 respondents, consisting entirely of non-medical staff. Data collection utilised a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms. The results of this study indicate that job satisfaction is the key factor in explaining the relationship between Emotional Labour, Emotional Exhaustion, and Turnover Intention. Job satisfaction is a factor contributing to high turnover intentions in healthcare organisations operating in the service sector, such as hospitals. The practical implications of these findings can be utilised by healthcare organisations in hospital management to formulate more effective employee retention strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of responsible leadership and transformational leadership on employee turnover intention in non-formal education institutions in Jakarta, with employee engagement serving as a mediating variable. This research employed a quantitative approach through a survey of 177 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that transformational leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement (β = 0.504; p < 0.000), while responsible leadership does not significantly affect employee engagement (β = 0.005; p = 0.971). Employee engagement was found to be the strongest predictor in reducing turnover intention (β = -0.444; p < 0.000). Responsible leadership has a direct negative and significant effect on turnover intention (β = -0.355; p = 0.001), whereas transformational leadership does not have a significant direct effect on turnover intention (β = 0.188; p = 0.104). Employee engagement does not mediate the relationship between responsible leadership and turnover intention, but fully mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and turnover intention (β = -0.224; p < 0.001). The findings show that responsible leadership operates through ethical behavior and trust mechanisms that directly reduce turnover intention, while transformational leadership reduces turnover intention through the enhancement of employee engagement. This study extends Social Exchange Theory by demonstrating that different leadership styles operate through different mechanisms in influencing employee retention.
