Abstract

An educator should be able to realize that every student has different learning styles. By knowing the student's learning style, the teacher can accommodate various learning methods to suit the needs of students. So that all students can get effective ways of learning. This research was conducted in SMP Negeri 2 Demak as a research subject with the aim of finding out the relationship between learning styles with the results of social studies learning of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Demak. The population in this study were all students of class VIII A-J totaling 338 students and a sample of 138 students using random sampling technique. Collecting learning style data using questionnaires, while social studies learning outcomes are taken from the rapot value of the even semester of 2017/2018 school year. The data obtained is calculated by anova formula with a significance level of 5%, so that the value of F_h 3.29 > F_tab 3.05 means that H_ (a) is accepted. This shows that there is a positive relationship between learning styles and student social studies learning outcomes. Seorang pendidik seharusnya dapat menyadari bahwa setiap anak memiliki perbedaan gaya belajar. Dengan mengetahui gaya belajar siswa, guru dapat mengakomodasikan berbagai metode pembelajaran menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Sehingga semua siswa dapat memperoleh cara yang efektif dalam belajarnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Demak sebagai subjek penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara gaya belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Demak. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII A-J yang berjumlah 338 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 138 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengumpulan data gaya belajar dengan menggunakan angket, sedangkan hasil belajar IPS diambil dari nilai rapot semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Data yang diperoleh dihitung dengan rumus anova dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, sehingga nilai 3,29 > 3,05 artinya diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara gaya belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa.

Abstract

The teacher has a role in implementing the 2013 curriculum in social studies lessons in directing students to be active during learning. This study aims to determine the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in social science education class VIII in Junior High School, Gunungpati District, seen from the planning, implementation, evaluation development, supporting factors and inhibiting factors. The research method used is a qualitative method. The results showed that (1) the preparation of lesson plans that the teacher uses in the form of syllabus and lesson plans refers to the standard process. (2) The teacher implementation process uses the group discussion method and the scientific approach with a learning model according to the 2013 curriculum. (3) the evaluation of teacher learning designs an assessment instrument to assess the abilities of students in the realms of attitudes, knowledge and skills. (4) supporting factors include MGMP training which discusses learning tools, implementation and evaluation techniques. The inhibiting factor for teachers is still difficult to developtype learning HOTS in the realm of skills. Guru memiliki peran mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013 pada pelajaran IPS mengarahkan peserta didik untuk aktif saat pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas VIII di SMP Sekecamatan Gunungpati dilihat dari penyusunan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengembangan evaluasi, faktor pendukung serta faktor penghambat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) penyusunan perencanaan pembelajaran yang guru gunakan dalam bentuk silabus dan RPP mengacu pada standar proses. (2) proses pelaksanaan guru menggunakan metode diskusi kelompok dan pendekatan saintifik dengan model pembelajaran sesuai kurikulum 2013. (3) evaluasi pembelajaran guru merancang instrumen penilaian untuk menilai kemampuan peserta didik mencangkup ranah sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. (4) faktor pendukung mengikutsertakan pelatihan MGMP membahas perangkatan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan dan teknik evaluaasi. Faktor penghambat guru masih sulit mengembangkan pembelajaran tipe HOTS pada ranah keterampilan.

Abstract

Free sex and drug use are deviant behaviors that are often carried out by teenagers. Warureja Subdistrict is a place where, based on data from the P3A2P and KB Office, it is the area with the highest rates of free sex and drug use. The research method used is the mixed methods approach, namely by combining two forms of approach in research, namely qualitative and quantitative. The results of this study are: (1) The Role of Planning Generation in minimizing adolescent social deviation in Warureja District is included in the very high category of 53.28% or effective with effectiveness indicators: a) Work program 49.64%, and b) Independence of PIK R 89.05% . (2) The inhibiting factor of the genre in the high category is 71.53%, but the driving factor is higher because of the belief in the performance of the genre, namely 74.45%. (3) The role of the planning generation is to provide socialization and understanding to adolescents about the dangers of free sex and drug use, the importance of planning for the future (education, career, marriage, community life), providing life skill training, and collaboration with agencies and communities.

Abstract

Pangudi Luhur Domenico Savio Junior High School is a school with a diversity of student backgrounds, from the point of view of religion, ethnicity, socio-economy, and gender / gender. This article aims to Know the process of internalizing multicultural values in students through social studies learning SMP Pangudi Luhur Domenico Savio. The results of this study found that The process of internalizing multicultural values has been carried out by the teacher, the values that are often applied by the teacher are the values of Democratization, Humanism, and Pluralism. which are inserted through various things, namely: (a) Social studies learning materials are formed based on facts and real examples in the field. (b) The learning model used is inquiry discussion with the aim that students better understand the material and can adapt to the surrounding environment. (c) The assessment system used by the teacher is not only in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor, but the assessment also takes into account the opinions of other students regarding the personalities of the students concerned as evaluation materials for the future.

Abstract

The learning result which is not significant yet, and students who still experience handicaps and difficulties in understanding the material especially in ASEAN material. Researchers provide learning media for animated video and kahoot! in social stcience learning. This research uses quantitative method, while the research design in quasi experimental with non-equivalent control roup design. The result of this research shows that animation video and kahoot! are effective being implemented . this can be proven by seeing the effectiveness indicators such as (1) the teacher high capability to manage the classroom indicated by the score of 73 in the experimental group and 66 in the control group, (2) the teaching and learning activity which shows high activness with the score of 92,86 in the experimental group and 62,50 in the control group, (3) the increase of the learning result score of experimental group from 46,6 to 84,4 while the control group score of experimental group from 46,0 to 78,6, (4) the high responses of students towards the teaching learning activity with the experimental group score 75 and control group score 68,7.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the school's efforts in building student democratic attitudes through OSIS at SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. The results showed that schools made an effort to provide an understanding of political education. The OSIS management has implemented the understanding of political education provided by the school and can be seen through its activities. The implementation of understanding political education in building democratic attitudes is still not optimal. The active participation of the OSIS management includes; (1) decision making, (2) implementation, (3) taking benefits, (4) evaluation, and (5) social attitudes. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of the role of political education in building student democratic attitudes show that coaching seeks to build the awareness of the student council officials, motivation plays a role in problem-solving, and evaluation plays a role in knowing the shortcomings of the student council administrators.

Abstract

The aim of the research of this study was to determine the pedagogical competence of social studies teachers and student learning activeness in the social studies learning process and social studies teacher schools through online learning at SMP N 2 Cepiring Kendal. The results showed that the social studies teacher at SMP N 2 Cepiring Kendal has an important role in student learning activeness by continuing to implement the pedagogical components of the teacher that they must have, including the ability to master student material, the ability to master learning theory, the ability to develop curriculum theory, master potential abilities. learners, and take advantage of information and communication technology. The activeness of students in the learning process can be seen from the ability of students to capture learning material which can be seen from various things such as listening, discussing, and expressing opinions during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine efforts to prevent radicalism in schools through strengthening character in social science learning (IPS) and implementing strengthening character education (PPK) in extracurricular activities at MTS NU TBS Kudus. The results showed that schools were trying to prevent the development of radicalism. Prevention of radicalism in schools is carried out through the implementation of strengthening character education (PPK) through three activities, namely intracular activities, co-curricular activities, and extracurricular activities. Implementation in intraculricular activities focuses on social studies learning which has material and dimensions related to everyday life. Implementation in extracurricular activities focuses on implementing the vision and mission through school culture and school activities. Meanwhile, the results of the analysis of efforts to prevent radicalism through the implementation of character strengthening show that the implementation of PPK has been carried out and has had an impact, but in its implementation, there are still a number of obstacles, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is still around us. The number of positive cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia has not been fully completed. In an effort to prevent the impact of Covid-19 from getting worse, each country has issued various policies in an effort to suppress the spread of the virus. These various policies are preventive measures so that everyone can avoid transmission. Some of these policies include implementing online learning, reducing activities outside the home, limiting the occurrence of crowds, limiting opening hours or closing some crowded places, using masks, and various other rules. But unfortunately so far there are still many people who do not comply with the Health Protocol. One of them is often found in residents of Tambakrejo, Semarang. Many children, adults, the elderly and even the elderly who do not wear masks, crowd and there are no hand washing facilities. In addition, the lack of literacy on Health Protocol education and low Social Awareness can cause the spread of the Corona Virus to spread. Therefore, preventive measures are needed for residents so that the chain of the spread of Covid-19 can be broken. This condition has moved us as a service team to be able to help and lighten their burden. Through this PPM activity, we try to provide several activities that we put into one program, which we call the “PELITA” (Our Environmental Approach) program. This program aims not only to provide knowledge about new adaptation habit policies, not only to provide education related to Health Protocols but further than that, this service activity seeks to strengthen Social Awareness for residents. So, through this service, Social Awareness has become one of our important focuses in order to lead the community, especially the residents of Tambakrejo, to be able to strengthen the social competence of the Tambakrejo residents so that they can work together in dealing with various Threats, Challenges, Obstacles and Disturbances during this pandemic. The results of this activity are Strengthening Social Awareness and Optimizing the Implementation of Health Protocols in the New Normal Era through the "Pelita Program" at TPQ Al-Firdaus Tambakrejo Semarang. This PELITA program is to get closer to our brothers and sisters who are experiencing difficulties or lacks both in terms of education, motivation, and economy. In more detail, these activities include Policy Socialization, 5 M Education, Health Protocol Video Turorials, Optimization of Social Media, Active Campaigns, Partnerships and Strengthening Social Awareness. Pandemi Covid-19 sampai detik ini masih terus ada disekitar kita. Jumlah kasus positif Covid-19 di Indonesia belum sepenuhnya tuntas. Upaya agar dampak Covid-19 tidak semakin parah, maka setiap negara mengeluarkan berbagai kebijakan sebagai upaya untuk menekan penyebaran virus. Berbagai kebijakan tersebut merupakan upaya preventif agar setiap orang dapat terhindar dari penularan. Beberapa kebijakan tersebut seperti melaksanakan pembelajaran secara daring (online), mengurangi aktivitas di luar rumah, membatasi terjadinya kerumunan, membatasi jam buka atau menutup beberapa tempat keramaian, menggunakan masker, serta berbagai aturan lainnya. Namun sayangnya sampai sejauh ini masih banyak dijumpai masyarakat yang tidak menaati adanya Protokol Kesehatan. Salah satunya banyak dijumpai pada warga Tambakrejo, Semarang. Banyak anak-anak, orang dewasa, orang tua bahkan lansia yang tidak memakai masker, berkerumun serta fasilitas cuci tanganpun tidak ada. Selain itu kurangnya literasi tentang edukasi Protokol Kesehatan dan rendahnya Social Awareness dapat menyebabkan penyebaran Virus Corona semakin merebak. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan upaya preventif bagi warga agar rantai penyebaran Covid-19 ini dapat terputus. Kondisi inilah yang menggerakkan kami sebagai tim pengabdi tergugah hati untuk dapat membatu dan meringankan beban mereka. Melalui kegiatan PPM ini kami mencoba memberikan beberapa kegiatan yang kami tuangkan dalam satu program, dimana kami menyebutnya dengan program “PELITA” (Pendekatan Lingkungan Kita). Program ini bertujuan tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan tentang kebijakan kebiasaan adaptasi baru, tidak hanya memberikan edukasi terkait dengan Protokol Kesehatan namun lebih jauh dari itu yakni kegiatan pengabdian ini berupaya memberikan penguatan Social Awareness bagi warga. Maka melalui pengabdian inilah Social Awareeness menjadi salah satu fokus penting kami guna mengantar masyarakat khususnya warga Tambakrejo untuk dapat menguatkan kembali kompetensi sosial warga Tambakrejo agar dapat bergotong royong bersama dalam menghadapi berbagai Ancaman, Tantangan, Hambatan dan Gangguan di masa pandemi ini. Hasil dari kegiatan ini yakni Penguatan Social Awareness dan Optimalisasi Penerapan Protokol Kesehatan pada Era New Normal melalui “Program Pelita” di TPQ Al-Firdaus Tambakrejo Semarang. Program PELITA ini, untuk mendekatkan diri terhadap saudara-saudara kita yang mengalami kesusahan atau kekurangan baik secara pendidikan, motivasi, hingga ekonomi. Secara lebih rinci kegiatan tersebut meliputi Sosialisasi Kebijakan, Edukasi 5 M, Video Turorial Protokol Kesehatan, Optimalisas Media Sosial, Giat Kampanye, Kemitraan dan Penguatan Social Awareness.

Abstract

This service is expected to help contribute to the benefit of the school environment and the character development of environmental care conservation. So that by taking advantage of the environment that is still not empowered at SDN Patemon 2, it is able to support learning later. This service is carried out in the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of activities that emphasize activities using the demonstration method. The service went smoothly and received a good and extraordinary response from partners, both from the school and the parent group for grade 2 students related to the environmental arrangement of SDN Patemon 2 by making a child-friendly park. This service also has a target of achievement, namely in the form of accepted articles. In addition, an additional output in this service is a draft book chapter. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat membantu memberikan kontribusi terhadap kebermanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dan penumbuhan karakter konservasi peduli lingkungan. Sehingga dengan memanfaatkan lingkungan yang masih belum diberdayakan di SDN Patemon 2, mampu untuk mendukung pembelajaran nantinya. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi kegiatan yang menitikberatkan kegiatan menggunakan metode demonstrasi. Pengabdian berjalan dengan lancar dan mendapatkan respon yang baik dan luar biasa dari mitra, baik dari pihak sekolah maupun paguyuban wali murid kelas 2 terkait dengan penataan lingkungan SDN Patemon 2 dengan membuat taman ramah anak. Pengabdian ini juga memiliki target capaian yaitu berupa artikel capaian accepted. Selain itu, luaran tambahan dalam pengabdian ini adalah draft book chapter.
