Abstract

The purpose of this research is the development of the potential of the cultural heritage site of the old town of Tegal as a medium of learning history so that it can increase the motivation of learning history and enhance appreciation of the students. This media can also be guidelines for the protection and preservation of cultural heritage objects at the site of the old town of Tegal. Research method used is the method of research development or Research and Development adapted & modified Borg & Gall. With the instructional design model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) of Molenda. The subject of research as much as 22 students of Class XI Social Science Senior High School 3 Tegal as controls and classes of 30 students of Class XI XI Social Science Senior High School 3 Tegal as class experiments. Data collection techniques using question form and achievement test. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis and test t test. Based on the analysis of the effectiveness of the test, the results of the post test experimental classes (media developed) higher than the class of the control (conventional). Based on the T-test test earned t 2.1 > 1.88 = conclusion can be drawn then H0 is rejected, meaning both groups have an attitude of appreciation are not the same. There is a difference of attitude scale self-test results on post test experimental classes and controls that prove that media-based learning, visualization of the site of the old town of Tegal is effective to increase the apreasiasi of cultural heritage.

Abstract

Balala' traditional ceremony is one of forbidden customs in the Kanayatn Dayak community. This study describes the Balala' indigenous traditions held by Dayak Kanayatn tribe in Pate Hamlet, Saham Village, Sengah Temila District, Landak Regency. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative one with an ethnographic approach, while the data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation. Data collection instruments are interview guides and documentation. Based on the research results, the ‘Balala' traditional procession consists of several stages: Mansorokng ceremony held on April 12, opening ceremony on May 28, and ‘Bungkas Lala’ ceremony on May 31. This rite is a form of ceremony to get rid of bad luck or bad things. Every citizen always obeys advices and prohibitions. This paper implies that the ‘Balala' customary tradition can be known widely, especially to the younger generation in order to be preserved as it represents the personal awareness of the community as indigenous peoples.

Abstract

Pendudukan Jepang di Indonesia memang terbilang singkat yaitu sekitar tiga setengah tahun, akan tetapi Jepang masuk ke dalam setiap sendi kehidupan masyarakat. Salah satunya adalah melakukan propaganda di surat kabar Borneo Barat Shinbun yang tujuannya adalah untuk meyakinkan dan menarik simpati masyarakat Pontianak agar mau membantu dan mendukung Jepang dalam peperangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode sejarah dengan tahapan pemilihan topik, heuristic, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan penulisan sejarah. Sumber-sumber surat kabar berasal dari Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia dan Perpustakaan Daerah Kalimantan Barat. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan adalah propaganda Jepang yang dilakukan dalam surat kabar Borneo Barat Shinbun diberitakan dalam berbagai hal meliputi berita internasional, berita militer, berita politik, dan berita ekonomi. Dalam surat kabar tersebut juga ada mengenai pelajaran Bahasa Jepang. Saat pendudukan Jepang wajib menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia/Melayu, dan Bahasa Jepang, serta melarang Bahasa Belanda. Jepang melakukan hal tersebut dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk menghapus semua yang berbau Barat.

Abstract

Adat Toana is part of the historiography of the Mempawah Kingdom where the values ​​in Adat Toana describe the heterogeneous character and characteristics of the Mempawah community, this can be a contextual history learning material for students because it can link the past and its causality for the present. This study aims to (1) what are the values ​​in Adat Toana (2) how to contextualize Adat Toana in learning history. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study. Data obtained from observations, interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that Adat Toana has cultural, social and historical values. In teaching the teacher has linked the material of the Indigenous Toana tradition with the material in the textbook, contextualization is carried out by bringing up the narrative of ethnic diversity in Mempawah and the history of the Toana Tradition in Karyaaan Mempawah.  Contextualization produces feedback in the form of student responses to the importance of maintaining unity in differences, besides contextualization is oriented towards growing love for local culture.

Abstract

In general, issues related to the threat of transnationalism at the border have long been a hot topic among academics. This issue includes a real threat that threatens the nationalism of people living on the border. The purpose of this research is to prove transnationalism from the real life of the people who live on the border of the hamlet of Camar Bulan Temajuk. The use of ethnographic methods deepens the analysis of data in the field in the form of descriptive and objective data taken from 12 informants from different community groups. Field data collection begins with observations and interviews with community informants. The result The data describes various threats and obstacles that come from military threats at the border. However, non-military threats such as the circulation of foreign money, kinship ties, infrastructure, social inequalities, and overly free community interactions have made the psychology of society towards Indonesian nationalism lose and fade. Furthermore, transnationalism also disappears the people's national identity at the border, prides themselves on being Indonesian citizens, and more trust in other countries. This research provides contributions and thoughts related to the real threat of transnationalism to be reference material and evaluation for academics, government, and field practitioners.

Abstract

Pendidikan termasuk kedalam salah satu aspek penting dalam kehidupan terutama bagi setiap individu yang ada. Hal ini dikarenakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari diperlukannya sumber daya manusia yang lebih baik agar manusia memiliki kapasitasnya masing-masing terutama pada perkembangan di era global dan persiaingan yang ketat pada saat ini, oleh sebab itu diperlukannya pengembangan keterampilan, terutama bagi pendidik yang akan mendidik setiap peserta didik untuk menjadi lebih baik. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) merupakan salah satu wujud dalam membantu guru untuk mengatasi dan memperbaiki proses pembelajaran yang terjadi di kelas. Dalam implementasi PTK, dimana agar materi mengenai PTK disampaikan kepada guru, perlu adanya sosialisasi, salah satunya sosialisasi dosen kepada guru mengenai workshop Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Upaya ini dilakukan sebagai wujud dosen dalam melaksanakan Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi salah satunya di bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Tujuan dari tulisan ini adalah untuk melihat implementasi dan peran edukasi Covid-19 melalui metode storytelling sejarah pandemi flu Spanyol pada mahasiswa di lingkungan FKIP Untan Pontianak.Pandemi Covid-19 yang terjadi di Indonesia saat ini sangat relevan dengan peristiwa Pandemi Flu Spanyol yang terjadi pada tahun 1918 ketika itu Indonesia yang masih bernama Hindia Belanda juga terkena wabah tersebut. Kegiatan edukasi protokol kesehatan menjadi bagian terpenting dalam upaya mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 utamanya di lingkungan kampus. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana implementasi dan peran edukasi prokes Covid-19 melalui metode storytelling sejarah pandemi Flu Spanyol pada mahasiswa di lingkungan FKIP Untan Pontianak. Tulisan ini menggunakan jenis penelitian penelitian kualitatif. Hasil kajian memperlihatkan bahwa edukasi prokes Covid-19 kepada mahasiswa di lingkungan FKIP Untan dengan menggunakan metode storytelling dianggap sebagai metode baru dan menarik. Secara kolektif mahasiswa memahami pernah ada wabah serupa Covid-19 bernama Flu Spanyol di tahun 1918 yang memakan korban jiwa serta memperparah situasi ekonomi negara-negara di dunia kala itu. Metode ini mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran kolektif di kalangan mahasiswa untuk tetap mematuhi protokol kesehatan untuk memangkas penyebaran Covid-19.

Abstract

This research is one of the phases in development research, namely the implementation phase. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of the local history module based on local wisdom capacities of West Kalimantan people in high school. This local history module has been validated by experts and has been tested. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study describe this module which is presented in digital form which is shared by history teachers through the school's e-learning application. This local history module has been prepared in accordance with the KD mapping in the curriculum of 2013. This local history module consists of three chapters that discuss local history based on the content of local wisdom of West Kalimantan people. Based on the results of observations, it is shown that this local history module is easy to understand and interesting to read. The existence of a local history module based on the content of local wisdom of West Kalimantan people can help students understand local traditions as a form of preserving their culture. This module is also able to influence students' interest and motivation in learning history in general.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan efektivitas media pembelajaran Flash Flipbook terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI Ilmu-Ilmu Sosial (IIS) di Sekolah Menegah Atas (SMA) Negeri 11 Pontianak. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis Pre-experimental (one-grup pretest-posttest). Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI IIS 2 pada SMA Negeri 11 Pontianak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu angket. Adapun angket yang dimaksud terdiri dari angket pretest dan posttest. Efektivitas media pembelajaran Flash Flipbook diukur dengan menggunakan uji t berpasangan (paired sample t-test). Temuan awal pada hasil pretest atau sebelum menggunakan media Flash Flipbook diperoleh persentase sebesar 68,27%, artinya metode ceramah tersebut dapat kategorikan cukup digunakan. Sedangkan pada hasil posttest atau setelah menggunakan media Flash Flipbooks diperoleh persentase sebesar 79%, artinya media tersebut dikategorikan baik untuk digunakan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Flash Flipbook efektif terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas XI IIS 2 SMA Negeri 11 Pontianak. Abstract

The Betteng Pellet Tradition is a tradition of the Madurese people for those who are entering four to seven months of pregnancy for their first child. The purpose of this study was to describe the meaning and value of the Betteng Pellet tradition in the Madurese Tribe Community in Sungai Malaya Village, Sungai Ambawang District, Kubu Raya. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-ethnographic approach. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. So that this research can be realized the implementation of this tradition is marked by the demons of several community leaders (Ustadz / Kyai) and the community, this tradition is as a song as well as a way in seeking blessings, fluency and convenience, and has value in strengthening family ties, creating a sense of togetherness, caring for friendship and most importantly maintaining the betteng pellet tradition so that its existence continues to be a necessity for the Madurese people as well as providing an understanding to the next generation about the purpose and importance of the betteng pellet tradition as a legacy of the ancestors or ancestors of the Madurese people.
