Abstract

Batik Mangklek MSME, located in Margosari Village, Kendal Regency, faces challenges in strengthening its visual identity and branding. These MSMEs need a logo design as a symbol of identity that can increase the attractiveness and differentiate the products in the market, especially in supporting online marketing. The objective of this activity is to design a logo that represents the cultural values and creativity of Batik Mangklek, which is expected to support their digital marketing strategy. The logo creation process involved surveys, interviews, and research on design trends and logo philosophies that match the characteristics of local batik. As a result, the logo successfully combines elements of local culture and creativity, with a philosophy that reflects the character of Batik Mangklek. The logo was handed over to Batik Mangklek MSMEs, along with usage guidelines on online promotional media and product packaging. In conclusion, the creation of this logo has a positive impact on strengthening the visual identity of Batik Mangklek MSMEs and increasing the effectiveness of digital marketing strategies, so that their products are more easily recognized and demanded by consumers.

Abstract

This study analyzes e-commerce platform preferences for digital marketing strategies among Generation Z students at the Institut Teknologi dan Bisnis Semarang using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. By evaluating four platforms (Tokopedia, Lazada, Shopee, TikTok) based on ease of use (25%), user experience (25%), promotions (15%), transaction security (15%), and product completeness (15%), the results show that Shopee leads (0.9333) with the best interface and features. TikTok (0.9080) excels in promotions but lacks security, Tokopedia (0.8820) remains consistent, while Lazada (0.8084) needs UX improvements. The implications suggest that platforms should optimize mobile interfaces, collaborate with influencers, and enhance visual search features to meet Gen Z’s demand for interactive experiences and economic value..

Abstract

English proficiency is becoming an increasingly essential skill in the global era. However, many elementary and middle school students, as well as their parents, are still unaware of the long-term benefits of mastering this language. This community service program aims to improve children's English skills through the socialization and training of using the Basic English eBook in EPUB format in Gajahmungkur Village. The program involved 15 parents, who were introduced to the importance of English and trained on how to use the eBook as a self-learning tool for their children. The results showed a positive response from participants, who found the eBook to be an engaging and accessible learning solution. However, some parents faced difficulties in using digital technology, indicating the need for further guidance. Overall, this program successfully raised awareness among parents and provided an effective learning tool to support their children's independent English learning at home.

Abstract

This research analyzes the formation of AMDK customer loyalty through hyper-local promotion mediated by brand image at the local distributor agent level, aiming to fill a research gap previously focused at the corporate level. A quantitative approach was employed, with data analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the causal relationships between variables. The findings reveal that hyper-local promotion significantly shapes brand image (β=0.63), and brand image has a strong impact on customer loyalty (β=0.73). Brand image acts as a dominant partial mediator with a high Variance Accounted For (VAF) of 83%, while the direct effect of promotion on loyalty is small (β=0.27). The predictive power of the model is also strong, with an R2 for brand image at 0.62 and for customer loyalty at 0.68. The study's implications highlight a key strategy for distributors: building a strong agent-level brand image through integrated hyper-local promotion is crucial for achieving sustainable customer loyalty. Theoretically, this research enriches the existing literature on hyper-local marketing by providing empirical evidence of the mediating role of brand image at the micro level.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly affected various economic sectors, especially micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia, which are the backbone of the economy. This study aims to investigate the factors that support the resilience of MSMEs after the pandemic by reviewing recent article from 2021 to 2024. Using a critical appraisal method, the research synthesizes findings from selected articles to highlight key strategies that enable MSMEs to adapt and thrive in a challenging environment. The findings indicate that factors such as digital technology adoption, innovative marketing strategies, creativity, religiosity, collaboration, financial support, and community engagement play a critical role in enhancing MSMEs resilience. The implications of these findings suggest that MSMEs should leverage these elements to improve competitiveness and sustainability, while policymakers can formulate effective strategies to support MSMEs recovery and growth in the post-pandemic era.

Abstract

This research aims to carry out an information system audit on the Academic Information System (SIAKAD) at the Institute of Technology and Business (ITB) Semarang by utilizing the COBIT 5 Framework. An information system audit is a crucial step to assess the effectiveness, effciency and security of the informatiion system operated by organization. COBIT 5 as an internationally recognized Framework, provides a structured approach to ensuring the governance and management of information technology effective.his research uses an evaluation methodology for key processes in COBIT 5, such as risk management, IT service management, and IT resource management, which are relevant to the implementation of SIAKAD. Data was obtained through interviews, observation and review of internal documents. The audit results comply with several COBIT 5 standards, although there are several areas that still require improvement to increase system perfomance and security. It is hoped that this researcher can provide strategic recommendations for ITB Semarang to optimize academic information systems, as well as become a reference for other institutions that wish to implement COBIT 5 in information system audits.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal the advantages of the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in measuring lecturer performance to produce the best lecturer assessment. This research uses Purposive Sampling technique in determining student participants in the SMK TRIMULYA to select five teachers who have provided learning to all participants. The criteria used are discipline, teaching, motivation and innovation. The results of this study obtained the calculation results, namely teacher 1 (G1) with a total of 0,62, teacher 2 (G2) with a total of 0,60, teacher 3 (G3) with a total of 0,80, teacher 4 (G4) with a total of 1,00, and teacher 5 (G5) with a total of 0,72. So it can be concluded that the decision support system using the SAW method shows that the highest score is teacher 4 (G4). The SAW method is expected to help SMK TRIMULYA to determine the best teachers in the following periods.

Abstract

This Community Service activity was driven by the low adoption of digital marketing strategies among palm sugar-producing MSMEs in Branjang Village, Semarang Regency, Central Java. These MSMEs still rely on conventional marketing methods and have not fully utilized digital tools to communicate product value. The main goal of this program was to enhance the capacity of MSME actors to create emotionally and culturally relevant digital content using quotes. The method applied was a community-based participatory educational approach, starting from needs assessment to contextual quote creation training. The results showed that the quote-based strategy successfully increased awareness among MSME actors about the importance of emotional narratives in building product identity and consumer engagement. Significant shifts were observed in participants’ perceptions of social media, new initiatives to document production processes emerged, and meaningful quotes were developed reflecting the uniqueness and cultural values of local palm sugar. This approach was found to be effective, simple, and inclusive, bridging technical limitations with strong local potential.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to introduce the fundamentals and practices of stock trading to university students in Semarang Barat District. The program was conducted in collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange Representative Office of Central Java 1. The methods included educational sessions, stock trading simulations, and interactive discussions. The results indicate an increased understanding among students regarding capital market mechanisms, investment instruments, and potential risks in stock trading. Furthermore, the program encouraged a mindset shift: students who initially perceived stocks as complex and high-risk instruments came to recognize the capital market as a transparent, legal, and accessible investment avenue. Theoretically, this activity aligns with literature highlighting the critical role of financial literacy and capital market education in shaping young investors’ behavior.
