Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of difficulty of student learning on the structure and function of plants and what factors cause it. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques used were observation, written tests and questionnaires. The results showed that the level of student learning difficulty in plant structure and function material was in the high category and the causative factor was from the school environment with a percentage of 33.4% (high). The factor causing students' learning difficulties in the structure and function of class VIII plants at MTs Wahid Hasyim 02 Dau is caused by school environmental factors with high influence categories.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of a combination of Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning on the problem solving abilities of class X students at SMA Negeri 9 Malang. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews, problem-solving ability tests, sheet validation and documentation. The results showed that there was a significant influence on the problem solving abilities of students using a combination of Discovery Learning and Problem Based Learning models in biology class X IPA Malang State High School which can be seen from the sig (2tailed) value of 0.002<0.05. The combination of the Discovery Learning model with Problem Based Learning provides opportunities for students to be actively involved in the learning process to solve problems that occur in everyday life starting from finding problems, analyzing problems to drawing conclusions

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of the STAD learning model with NHT on the problem solving ability of students in class X Mipa 3 and 4 at SMA Negeri 9 Malang with the material being taught is kingdom Monera this research is a qusi-experimental research using a purposive sampling design. The population in this study amounted to 68 students who werea a combination of all class X in the school, while the sample was taken from two classes with 34 participants in the each class. The class was divided into control and experimental classes, where each class used conventional model for the control class and combination of STAD and NHT learning model for the experimental class. The study measures the problem solving ability of students. The data collection teachniques in the study were in the from of problem solving ability tests, observations, interview, documention with instruments in the from of lesson plans, LKPD, LKPD assement rubrics, observation sheets on the implementation of learning implematation plans, and problem solving ability instrument sheets in the from pre-test and post-test essays. Test analysis of research data used inferential statistical analysis with covariate analysis (anacova). The result of the hypothesis test showed that there was a significant effect, namely 0.008 < 0,05 from the learning model combination the STAD and NHT models with the kingdom monera material in class X at SMA Negeri 9 Malang.

Abstract

Visi sekolah yaitu mewujudkan madrasah yang religius, humanis, dan berkemajuan dengan indikator berpikir kritis dan terbuka serta menguasai teknologi. Pembelajaran STEAM dapat menjadi salah satu alternatif untuk mengakomodasi ketercapaian indikator visi sekolah. Pembelajaran STEAM merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan lima bidang keahlian, yaitu science, technology, engineering, art, dan mathematics. Pembelajaran STEAM dapat diimplementasikan pada materi ecoprint. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan ecoprint dengan teknik hapazome kepada siswa kelas VII MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang yang berjumlah 31 peserta pada tanggal 14 Juni 2023. Metode pengabdian yaitu memberikan pelatihan pembuatan ecoprint dengan teknik hapazome. Kegiatan pelatihan di MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Malang ini dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan PKM ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan siswa tentang pembuatan ecoprint dengan memanfaatkan bahan alam yang ada di lingkungan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is identify student learning barriers in other classes. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. This research method is Didactical Design Research (DDR), which consists of three stages, namely (1) prospective analysis, (2) metapedadidactical analysis, and (3) retrospective analysis. The results of this study are (1) Student learning obstacle are included in epistemological barriers, namely student knowledge with limited application contexts. Students have not been able to understand the concept thoroughly and have not been able to connect one concept to another and (2) Analysis of learning barriers aims to be used as a reference in the preparation of learning tools and to predict didactic responses and anticipations that occur during the learning process.

Abstract

Science learned requires constructivist experiences so that students could learnt to discover and conclude.  However, today's learned challenges were increasing along with the diversity of students and interests.  The aimed of this researched was to increase the knowledge and practiced of prospective science teachers in didactic practiced through lesson studied activities.  Didactic knowledge and practiced includes aspects of knowledge in preparing student assignments and analyzing student learned difficulties.  Apart from that, updating student competency achievements as a curriculum requirement was also a challenged for prospective teachers. This researched was a qualitative studied that conducted researched on the lesson studied group of prospective teachers consisting of two groups totaling eleven prospective teachers.  Data collection was carried out through direct group observation, semi-structured interviews, and participant observation.  The results of the implementation of the lesson studied project revealed the stages of science learned through the preparation of various learned ideas, the preparation of structured learned paths by thinking about the future, thinking about the process of student collaboration and the learned process. Constructed science concepts to determine objective learned outcomes. The results of this researched revealed how teams of prospective teachers collaborate in lesson studied learned and did things that built and support the team in achieving common goals.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the validity of the guided inquiry-based student worksheet on human excretory system material at junior high school level. This type of this research, namely development research using the modified ADDIE model. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 16 Malang.  The data collection instruments include (1) LKPD validation questionnaire, which consists of material expert and media expert validation questionnaires, (2) user expert questionnaires, in this case teachers, and (3) student response questionnaires. Based on the assessment of material experts, they obtained a score of 80.9% (valid), media experts scored 96.3% (valid), teacher user experts scored 83.5% (valid), and small-scale student response scores were 70% (good), and large scale 68% (Good). The inquiry LKPD product is valid and can be continued with quasi-experiments to determine the effect of using the product on the results and learning process.

Abstract

Learning Media are learning facilities and infrastructure that must be present in education. SDN 1 Landungsari has various learning media to support classroom learning. It's just that there are several media that don't yet exist, such as microscopes, slides, dropper pipettes and glass beakers for testing healthy food/drinks in class 5 science lesson content, theme 3, sub-theme 2. For this reason, based on the problems above, PKM Project Based Learning is carried out in Science Learning. Material for Healthy Drinks at Science Techno Park Unitri for Grade 5 Students at SDN 1 Landungsari, Malang Regency, this is a solution to problems. Efforts to implement the solutions that have been offered are carried out through preparation, implementation and evaluation activities. The activity was held on August 30 2022 by bringing 5th grade students of SDN 1 Landungsari along with 5th grade teachers to the UNITRI science Techno park. This activity succeeded in concretizing students about the theory of bacteria, this can be seen from the students' drawings and several students' questions that linked the bacteria they saw on YouTube with direct observations through a microscope.

Abstract

This research seeks to guide the empathy of junior high school students through combining design thinking with PjBL (Project Based Learning) as many as 83 students, and two science teachers participated in this research. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observation notes, reflection notes, and student assessment rubrics to collect qualitative data. Aspects of student empathy and collaboration are built into the learning of digestive system material. Empathy as an initiator in project-based learning includes aspects of self-integrity and empathy for others which are closely related to elements of collaboration including aspects of cooperation, ways of communicating, positive dependence and social coordination. Design thinking as a process thinking framework includes the empathization stage, problem formulation, constructing ideas, constructing prototypes, and tests as student learning stages. Contextual learning with design thinking and PjBL is expected to be an integrated model to achieve aspects of the Pancasila student profile and 21st century skills.

Abstract

Hasil penyusunan perangkat, uji validasi, dan uji terbatas telah menghasilkan perangkat kurikulum klinik penulisan ilmiah yang valid atau sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Hasil uji lapangan atau disseminasi terbatas menghasilkan peningkatan gain skor pada aspek keterampilan menulis ilmiah dan keterampilan berfikir kritis atau penalaran, serta komunikasi. Perbandingan perlakuan guided inquiry dan independent inquiry pada kedua populasi menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda. Hasil analisis keterampilan penalaran mahasiswa sebagian besar dalam taraf pemikir pemula dan sebagian kecil dalam taraf pemikir mandiri. Hasil ini menurut analisis SWOT merupakan pemacu untuk lebih meningkatkan strategi pengembangan mahasiswa salah satunya melalui pembinaan komunitas penalaran dengan meningkatkan sinergisme kegiatan penalaran mahasiswa oleh dosen sebidang ilmu atau interdisipliner dalam tingkat program studi, fakultas bahkan universitas.
