Abstract

Stunting is a problem that being intensively addressed by the government and priority program at Puskesmas Sekaran which is the background for this Community Service activity. The existence of stunting cases in Gunungpati is caused by various factors, such as unprepared pregnancies, low birth weight babies, and low levels of exclusive breastfeeding. The aim of this activity is to increase young parents' knowledge about stunting, parenting, healthy homes and child nutrition so that it can help reduce stunting cases. This is due to several causal factors based on insufficient knowledge. Therefore, the method used is psychoeducation. The result of this service is an increase in the knowledge of young parents in the Gunungpati area as seen from the significant difference in results on the pre-test and post-test. The advice that can be given is that it would be better if this service program was carried out long term and sustainably. Apart from that, the target of activities should be expanded so that they can provide education not only to young parents, but also to the surrounding community so that they can participate in reducing stunting rates.

The hospitality industry in big cities faces tight competition in providing excellent service. As a part that is intense in serving guests, the front office is required to display emotions according to the company's display rules, this process is called emotional labor. However, it is not always easy to do, especially when there are events that disturb the mood. Perceived organizational support (POS) as one of the source affective events can affect employees' affective state at work. Based on the problem, this study intends to determine the influence of POS on emotional labor among front offices of 4- and 5-star hotels in Semarang. A total of 60 subjects were collected through purposive sampling. Data was analysed through instrument tests, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis test using simple linear regression analysis. The study showed that POS negatively influence emotional labor, with a p-value <0.05 and a contribution of 13.8%. The regression equation Y=27.96 -0.263X. This finding indicates that high POS can reduce the burden of emotional labor and affect the quality of service delivery to guests.

Abstract

The dynamic changes within the world of work require individuals to engage in robust career planning. In this context, career aspiration is understood as a psychological construct reflecting an individual’s hopes, motivations, and goals related to their future employment. This study aimed to adapt and evaluate the psychometric properties of the Career Aspirations Scale-Revised (CAS-R) into Indonesian to provide a valid and reliable measurement tool. The respondents comprised 549 Indonesian adolescents. The adaptation process followed the ITC (2018) guidelines, encompassing content validation, construct validation through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Rasch analysis, as well as reliability testing. The CFA results supported a three-factor structure (RMSEA = 0.034; CFI = 0.990; TLI = 0.990), with 18 items meeting the factor loading criteria. Cronbach’s alpha of 0.910 indicated high reliability. Rasch analysis further supported the instrument’s validity and internal consistency, with 19 items deemed to fit the model. These findings confirm that the Indonesian version of CAS-R is a suitable instrument for measuring adolescents’ career aspirations in Indonesia. It can be used by schools, counselors, and psychological institutions to support career assessment and planning.

The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, with a total sample of 83 outsourced employees. The instruments used were a social support scale comprising 26 items, a quantitative dimension of the job insecurity scale of 3 items, and a qualitative dimension of 4 items. The social support scale has a reliability value of 0.886, a quantitative dimension of the job insecurity scale of 0.604, and a qualitative dimension of job insecurity of 0.786. The analysis technique uses the Pearson correlation with the help of data processing software. The research results showed that the correlation value of social support with job insecurity in the quantitative dimension was r = 0.338 with p = 0.002 <0.05. Furthermore, the qualitative dimension's correlation value of social support with job insecurity was r = -0. 228 with p = 0.008 < 0.05. These results show that the hypothesis proposed by the author is declared accepted even though the direction of the relationship is different.
