Abstract

Lettuce is a type of vegetable that is produced in a hydroponic system, one of which is a static hydroponic system. Hydroponic lettuce production usually uses a certain level of concentration. This study aims to determine the effect of the hydroponic system, concentration levels, and their interactions on the growth and yield of lettuce. The research was carried out in the research and experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Fisheries and Biology, University of Bangka Belitung, using a factorial randomized block experimental design including a static hydroponic system and various concentrations of Huett's lettuce formulation, repeated 3 times. The results showed that the kratky hydroponic system was the best treatment. The concentration level of 500 ppm showed the highest mean yield. The combination of kratky hydroponic system treatment with a concentration of 500 ppm showed the highest average yield on the growth and yield of lettuce.

Abstract

Selada merupakan tanaman hortikultura yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang tinggi. Tanaman selada banyak dibudidayakan dengan sistim hidroponik. Upaya peningkatan pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada dapat dilakukan dengan pemberian nutrisi dan penggunaan sistim hidroponik yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh modifikasi hara mikro pada formulasi Huett’s Lettuce dan sistim hidroponik statis terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman selada beserta interaksinya. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Faktorial Lengkap Teracak (RFLT) dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu sistim hidroponik statis yang terdiri dari 2 taraf perlakuan yaitu sistim wick (S1) dan sistim kratky (S2). Faktor kedua yaitu formulasi Huett’s Lettuce yang terdiri dari 5 taraf yaitu formulasi Huett’s Lettuce (H0), formulasi Huett’s Lettuce makro + 20 g hara mikro kompleks (H1), formulasi Huett’s Lettuce makro + 30 g hara mikro kompleks (H2), formulasi Huett’s Lettuce makro + 40 g hara mikro kompleks (H3), formulasi Huett’s Lettuce makro + 50 g hara mikro kompleks (H4). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistim hidroponik dan modifikasi formulasi Huett’s Lettuce memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada. Sistim kratky (S2) memberikan hasil yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada. Formulasi Huett’s Lettuce makro + 20 g hara mikro kompleks (H1) memberikan hasil terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman selada. Tidak adanya interaksi antara dua faktor perlakuan.Kata kunci: hara mikro kompleks, sistim wick, sistim kratky.

Abstract

Fruit flies are common pests of edible and commercial fruit crops. The presence of fruit flies can be detected using male attractant, but the species obtained mostly unknown on the host plant. The host rearing method for fruit infested with fruit flies can be use to see the distribution of host plant species and families. This research aims to determine the diversity of fruit flies pest species and the distribution of their host plants on horticultural fruit cultivated in Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province. A total of eight sub-districts in Bangka Regency surveyed using purposive sampling. The results showed that nine species of fruit plants were infested by six species of fruit flies. Five species of fruit flies have pest status, namely Bactrocera albistrigata, Bactrocera carambolae, Bactrocera dorsalis, Bactrocera sp1, and Zeugodacus cucurbitae and one species has non-pest status, namely Bactrocera mcgregori. Bactrocera dorsalis infested eight of the nine host plants. Bactrocera dorsalis, Bactrocera carambolae, and Bactrocera albistrigata were found in eight sub-districts. The fruit flies Bactrocera dorsalis and Bactrocera carambolae are the dominant species in Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung.
