Abstract

Information and communication technology makes it possible to work in the school sector. Currently there is a data case in the school sector that handles education fee installments. To help achieve an ideal data framework for managing education fee installments, an information system that is useful, precise and fast is needed. Organizing carried out physically will hinder the organization's implementation as school cash manager. The creator conducted a search and created a Fee Installment Instruction Application using the Java programming dialect in the Android Studio application and Firebase as the database. The aim of this research is to find out what pictures and problems arise from the system that is already running and the system that will be designed, as well as speed up the regulatory portion in serving instruction fee installments and make progress on the old framework by replacing it with a modern framework.

Abstract

Public services play an important role in real terms for the community as a form of service to the community. Certain community services can be facilities that support people's lives, such as roads, clean water, and other services. The higher the quality of public services, the better people's lives will be, meaning that there will be no problems that prevent them from carrying out their daily activities. Meanwhile, services are in the form of public services that are really needed by the community, such as health and education services as well as transportation arrangements. The quality of service at the Serdang Bedagai Regency Regent's Office is classified as "B", where there are still several things that are not good, in terms of implementation time, implementation behavior, handling of petitions, complaints, infrastructure by the community.

Abstract

Over time, information systems have become a supporting tool in carrying out daily activities in the company. Examples such as masking sales reports at PT. Ivomas Tunggal Lestari. This company is an internal company, where all its activities are only carried out by a subsidiary of PT. Ivomas Tunggal Lestari. This website based sales information system aims to help employees without having to look for files that have been scattered everywhere. This system is based on qualitative methods and implemented using PHP and Mysql. The final result obtained is a website-based sales information system used by PT. Ivomas Tunggal Lestari. This system is able to provide reports on every sales transaction.

Abstract

Logistic Regression merupakan metode pengklasifikasi yang sangat populer dan digunakan secara luas pada berbagai penelitian. Logistic Regression dapat memberikan hasil yang baik pada masalah klasifikasi maupun prediksi. Fitur dataset yang besar mengakibatkan beban komputasi,  dan  menurunkan kinerja klasifikasi. Terdapat tiga dataset yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu Bank marketing, Glass, dan Musk II. Dataset tersebut bersumber dari  UCI Repository dan memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda. Ada dua tantangan penggunaan dataset tersebut, yaitu ketidakseimbangan kelas, dan jumlah fitur yang besar. Ada dua tahapan utama pada penelitian ini, yaitu pemrosesan awal dan klasifikasi.  Tahapan pemrosesan awal menerapkan seleksi  fitur melalui recursive feature elimination, dan penyeimbangan data menggunakan teknik  SMOTE. Tahapan klasifikasi menerapkan Logistic Regression. Teknik ridge regression (L2-regularization) diterapkan untuk menghindari overfitting pada tahap validasi model LR.  Evaluasi kinerja model didasarkan pada matrik konfusi dan grafik ROC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa seleksi fitur dan peyeimbangan kelas memiliki dampak yang baik. Melalui ROC, model LR+RFE+SMOTE memiliki luas sebesar 93%. Hasil ini lebih baik dibanding dengan empat model klasifikasi lainnya, yaitu  Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, K-NN, dan Random Forest.   Abstract   Logistic regression is a widely popular classification method extensively used in various studies. Logistic regression can yield good results in classification and prediction problems. The extensive features of the dataset can lead to computational burdens and reduced classification performance. Three datasets were utilized in this research: Bank Marketing, Glass, and Musk II. The dataset is sourced from the UCI Repository and contains various characteristics. There are two challenges associated with using this dataset: class imbalance and a large number of features. There are two main stages in this research: initial processing and classification. At the initial processing stage, feature selection is conducted through recursive feature elimination, and data balancing is achieved using the SMOTE technique. The classification stage applies logistic regression. The ridge regression technique (L2-regularization) is applied to prevent overfitting during the validation stage of the linear regression model. The model performance evaluation is based on confusion matrices and ROC graphs. The research results show that feature selection and class balancing have a positive impact. Through the Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) analysis, the LR+RFE+SMOTE model achieved an area under the curve of 93%. These results are better than those of four other classification models, namely Naïve Bayes, Decision Tree, K-NN, and Random Forest.

Abstract

This study examines the LSTM-based model for processing spam in text data. Spam poses several dangers and risks, both for individuals and organizations. Spam can be a nuisance that hampers both individual and organizational productivity. Much spam contains fraudulent or phishing attempts to obtain sensitive information. Spam detection using deep learning involves the utilization of algorithms and deep neural network models to accurately classify messages as either spam or not spam. Typically, spam detection systems use a combination of these methods to improve the accuracy of identifying spam messages. This study applies the Bi-LSTM deep learning model to sequentially process text (sequencing). The performance of the model is determined based on the loss and accuracy. The data used are the Spam SMS and Spam Email datasets. The test results show that the Bi-LSTM model demonstrates better performance on all tested datasets. Bi-LSTM is able to capture textual patterns from both the context and the text itself, as it can combine information from both directions. The test results prove that the Bi-LSTM model is more effective in text comprehension. So we need to use Snort to maintain network security. Snort is a useful software for observing activity in a computer network. Snort can be used as a lightweight Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS). Detection is carried out based on the rules that have been described by the administrator in the directory rules contained in the configuration file. Snort can analyze real time alerts, where the mechanism for entering alerts can be in the form of a user syslog, file or through a database. So we can detect attacks on computer networks early.

Abstract

This community service activity is an implementation of the tridharma of higher education to provide knowledge to students of SMK Gelora Jaya Nusantara, especially class XI students majoring in network computer engineering (TKJ). The material provided is router configuration and virtual LAN, this material is useful for participants, because it is one of the topics in the competency exam. This service activity starts from the preparation stage carried out by the team and is carried out on June 20, 2023 in the computer laboratory of SMK Gelora Jaya Nusantara. This service activity was carried out in collaboration with the Program Studi D3 Manajemen Informatika dan Komputerisasi Akuntansi with SMK Gelora Jaya Nusantara.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the logic skills of students at SDN 060934 through the application of multimedia-based educational games. By identifying the problems students face in understanding logic concepts, the program is designed to provide an engaging and interactive learning experience. The implementation of activities includes socialization, training, and the use of educational games that have been selected based on student needs. Evaluation results showed a significant improvement in students' logic skills, with the average pre-test score increasing from 65 to 85 in the post-test. In addition, students also reported a more enjoyable learning experience and higher motivation to learn. Although challenges related to technological infrastructure still need to be overcome, this activity proves that educational games can be effectively integrated in the learning process to support the development of critical thinking skills among students. It is recommended that this method be applied more widely in other schools in an effort to improve the quality of education in Indonesia

Abstract

The assessment of lecturer performance at Indonesian Methodist University is a crucial component in maintaining and enhancing the quality of education. Manual assessment processes encounter various challenges, including inefficiency, prolonged durations, and the potential for human error. Therefore, a digital solution is necessary to simplify and optimize the assessment process. This research aims to design and develop a web-based lecturer performance assessment questionnaire application that enhances efficiency, accuracy, and ease of use in the assessment process at Indonesian Methodist University. The application design is conducted using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) method, which involves creating use case diagrams, class diagrams, and activity diagrams. This approach facilitates the design of a well-structured and documented system, thereby streamlining the development and implementation processes. The research findings indicate that the questionnaire application designed with UML significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of the lecturer performance assessment process. Additionally, this application simplifies user access to online questionnaires and generates reliable assessment reports.

Abstract

The design of the Drug Inventory Information System at Asima Pharmacy aims to improve efficiency and accuracy in managing drug stock. This system is designed to facilitate drug data management, real-time stock monitoring, and fast and accurate reporting. This study uses a software development methodology that includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results of this study are a web-based information system that allows pharmacy managers to access inventory data easily and quickly, reduce the risk of shortages or excess stock, and speed up the drug reporting process. This system is expected to improve the quality of service at Asima Pharmacy by providing accurate and up-to-date information on drug inventory.

Abstract

Along with the times, information technology is experiencing increasingly rapid changes in various fields. As in trading business, information technology has provided many benefits in trading business. The problem with the Warristo Store is that there is no system that can assist employees in recording sales of goods, data collection, stock reports and sales reports. The solution to solving this problem is to design an information system that can make it easier for employees to do their work by using several programming applications. The results of the research conducted and the information system that has been designed are to help employees in the process of recording sales of goods, collecting goods data, transaction reports and sales reports easily and being able to convey information about the latest goods to consumers easily.
