Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Mauidzah Hasanah within PKK activities in Ngoro Village, Jombang, as a medium for non-formal Islamic education, which has not yet been systematically organized. Using a qualitative field research approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested through triangulation. The results indicate that Mauidzah Hasanah is conducted routinely monthly in the form of brief lectures, although its management remains unprogrammed. Nevertheless, it has been functionally effective in instilling religious values, increasing religious awareness, and strengthening the family’s role as a primary educational unit. Supporting factors include member enthusiasm, community leader support, and a strong religious culture. Conversely, the primary inhibiting factors are time constraints, monotonous delivery methods, and a lack of structured material planning. This study concludes that Mauidzah Hasanah holds significant potential as an Islamic education method in rural areas; however, it requires systematic development in both material management and methodology to ensure optimal and sustainable implementation.

Abstract

The game-based learning media Educaplay Froggy Jumps is intended to increase the interactivity of Madrasah Aliyah (MA) students when learning Arabic. Students can be motivated to learn Arabic through this game, which combines entertainment and educational elements. Needs analysis, media design, implementation, and evaluation of the effectiveness of learning media are all part of this research methodology. The research results show that interactive game media such as Educaplay Froggy Jumps significantly increase student participation and interaction when learning Arabic. Students are also more enthusiastic and active in understanding Arabic vocabulary and sentence structures. In conclusion, this research shows that interactive game media such as Educaplay Froggy Jumps can be an effective tool for learning foreign languages ​​at the elementary level. Abstract

Abstract: The era of national integration, shaped by globalization and the advancement of digital technology, presents complex moral challenges for students, particularly in relation to attitudes toward diversity, social media ethics, and civic responsibility. In this context, students’ moral attitudes serve as a strategic indicator of the success of character education in madrasahs. Although students in the religious track at Madrasah Aliyah Salafiyah Syafi’iyah receive intensive religious instruction intended to strengthen their moral resilience, there are indications of a disparity between the normative values taught and students’ social practices amid the pervasive influence of digital media. This study aims to explore the understanding and implementation of moral values among eleventh-grade religious-track students, to identify moral challenges within the landscape of national integration, and to analyze students’ responses based on the religious values they have internalized. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed systematically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through triangulation and prolonged observation. The findings indicate that moral education at Madrasah Aliyah Salafiyah Syafi’iyah is implemented integratively through formal classroom instruction, religious activities, and character development programs. The internalization of Islamic values fosters tolerant attitudes and social responsibility among students, as reflected in the consistency of their behavior amid the dynamics of national integration. Abstract

Pesantren are challenged to preserve their Islamic identity while responding to modernity, scientific development, and technological transformation. This study analyzes the construction of Islamic education orientation, curriculum integration, students' moral values, and its development in Tebuireng Magazine from 2015 to 2025. Using a qualitative literature study and Teun A. van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis, the study examines twelve articles from the Main Presentation column through the dimensions of text structure, social cognition, and social context. The findings show that Tebuireng Magazine constructs Islamic education as an integrative paradigm that combines pesantren traditions with modern demands through Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah, classical Islamic texts, scholarly sanad, science, technology, and leadership. Curriculum integration encompasses religious knowledge, science, technology, character education, leadership, and students' moral development. The discourse evolved through three phases: institutional identity consolidation (2015–2018), epistemic defense (2019–2021), and pedagogical-technocratic transformation (2024–2025). The study concludes that Tebuireng Magazine functions as an ideological medium that promotes integrative, adaptive, and transdisciplinary pesantren-based education and provides a reflective reference for contemporary pesantren curriculum development.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of strengthening students' religious character through Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) as an effort to counteract extreme religious attitudes and shape moderate personalities. This study aims to describe the Aswaja-based PAI learning strategy through the use of the Tebuireng Library Aswaja Book in shaping students' religious character at SMK Plus Khoiriyah Hasyim Tebuireng. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques, and their validity was tested through triangulation. The results show that the learning strategy is carried out through the integration of the values ​​of tawassuth, tasamuh, tawazun, and i'tidal in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. The Aswaja Book is used as the main learning resource that supports the internalization of religious moderation values ​​through classroom learning and religious habits in the school environment. This implementation contributes positively to increasing students' religiosity, discipline, tolerance, and noble character. Thus, Aswaja-based Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning through the Tebuireng Aswaja Book is effective in shaping the religious character of vocational high school students.

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of using the Quizizz application in Islamic Cultural History learning on students’ learning motivation at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang. The background of this study is the low level of students’ learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History learning. Therefore, innovative learning media that are interesting, interactive, and in line with technological developments are needed, one of which is the use of the Quizizz application.The objectives of this study are: (1) to determine whether the use of the Quizizz application affects students’ learning motivation at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang; (2) to describe the level of students’ learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History learning at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang; and (3) to analyze the effect of the use of the Quizizz application on students’ learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History learning at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang.This study employed a quantitative approach. The research was conducted at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang. The population of this study consisted of all seventh-grade students, while the sample was selected using the Stratified Cluster Sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using SPSS for Windows with simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) the use of the Quizizz application in Islamic Cultural History learning is categorized as moderate, as indicated by the highest distribution of respondents’ answers in the “undecided” category, totaling 19 students (35.1%); (2) the level of students’ learning motivation is also categorized as moderate, indicated by the highest distribution of respondents’ answers in the “undecided” category, totaling 20 students (36.9%); and (3) there is a significant effect of the use of the Quizizz application in Islamic Cultural History learning on students’ learning motivation of seventh-grade students at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang. This is evidenced by the t-test results (significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and t-count of 4.249 > t-table of 1.67469), indicating that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected.

Abstract

This research explores educational frameworks that integrate cognitive and affective growth within Islamic schooling. Specifically, the investigation evaluates the application of the Love-Based Curriculum (LBC) and examines its direct influence on the learning motivation of eighth-grade students. Operating under a descriptive-analytical qualitative design, the inquiry gathered insights from key school stakeholders, including the Vice Principal of Curriculum, an Akidah Akhlak instructor, and the students. Information gathered via field observations, participant dialogues, and institutional documents was systematically processed through standard qualitative reduction, data display, and synthesis methods. The empirical evidence demonstrates that LBC execution relies on foundational discipline combined with three core components: embedding core values, instructional role-modeling, and structured reflective sessions. Ultimately, this compassionate methodology fosters superior classroom participation and elevates student concentration. From a scholarly perspective, these insights expand academic discussions regarding student-centered pedagogy in Islamic institutions, while practically offering educators a strategic blueprint to enhance emotional connections during lessons.

Abstract

This research is based on the need for a learning process that can adapt to the characteristics, interests, and learning styles of students in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject. The learning process that tends to be teacher-centered and lacks variety causes students' creativity to not develop optimally. This study aims to examine the application of differentiated learning in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject at MAN 1 Jombang and describe its influence on student creativity. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study research type. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative descriptive techniques. The results of the study show that differentiated learning is implemented through the use of various methods, the use of technology-based learning media such as PPT and video, and providing flexibility to students in choosing the form of assignments according to their abilities and interests, such as making posters, creative content, and concept maps. The implementation of this strategy has a positive influence on the development of student creativity, as demonstrated by increased abilities in understanding and processing information, expressing ideas independently, and increasing student involvement in learning activities. The conclusion of this study shows that differentiated learning can be an effective approach in creating innovative, enjoyable, and student-centered learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the implementation of extracurricular tahfidz activities that function to shape the religious character of students at SMP A. Wahid Hasyim Tebuireng Jombang. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The research subjects consisted of the principal, tahfidz teachers, and students involved in the activities. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, and the data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model. The research findings indicate that extracurricular tahfidz activities have a significant role in building students' religious character through consistently applied habits. Students are trained to be disciplined, responsible, patient, consistent, and respectful of teachers in the learning process. Tahfidz activities also increase students' awareness in worship, such as performing congregational prayers, reading the Qur'an, and maintaining good daily behavior. In addition, the muraja'ah process hones students' concentration, perseverance, and mentality so that they do not give up easily while learning. The success of this program is supported by a religious school atmosphere, role models from teachers, and support from parents who encourage student motivation. Thus, extracurricular tahfidz activities serve as an effective implementation of Islamic character education in sustainably shaping positive student behavior.
