Abstract

Comprehensive exams are administered to assess the abilities and knowledge of students in their respective scientific disciplines. However, the material's scope is quite extensive, particularly in light of the absence of a question bank or grid-based guide. However, advancements in the twenty-first century necessitate that educators possess not only knowledge of subject matter and the learning process but also proficiency in technology. TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) refers to the amalgamation of stated components. The objective of this research is to develop a valid and practical question bank for biology education comprehensive exam, utilizing the TPACK framework. Research and development (R&D) was employed in accordance with the ADDIE development model. The instruments were validation sheets to determine the validity of the developed question bank and response questionnaires to assess its practicality. The validation sheet was intended for experts in learning evaluation and TPACK, whereas the response questionnaire was intended for students and examining lecturers who delivered comprehensive exams. The research findings indicated that the TPACK-based comprehensive exam question bank that was created exhibited a very high level of validity, as confirmed by 87.92% of learning evaluation experts and 88.69% of TPACK experts. The practicality test yielded a 91.68% passing rate among the examining lecturers and a 96.04% passing rate among the students. This value falls under the category of being extremely practical. Hence, it can be inferred that the developed question bank possesses validity and utility. This question bank aims to assist in preparing comprehensive exams for both students and lecturers, while also serving as a guide for developing TPACK, specifically designed for graduating students in the biology education program

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Flipped Classroom learning model on student learning outcomes on Environmental Pollution material in Al-Hijrah Integrated Islamic Junior High School Medan. This research is a quantitative research (quasi-experimental). The population in this study were all class VII IT Al-Hijrah Junior High School Medan, totaling 94 students. The sample taken in this study was random sampling consisting of two classes, namely class VII-AB Ikhwan as an experimental class and class VII-B Ikhwan as a control class with 16 students in each class. Based on the results of data analysis, the average pretest value of the experimental class was 40.42 including the low category, the posttest average value of 81.0 including the high category. While the average pretest for the control class is 40.00, including the low category and the average score for the posttest for the control class is 61.67, including the low category. The results of hypothesis testing tarithmetic = 5.35 > ttable = 2.04 with probability = 0.05 and dk = 30. With the conclusion that the hypothesis H0 rejected and the hypothesis Ha is accepted, because tcount > ttable = 5.35 > 2.04. This shows that there is an effect of using the flipped classroom learning model on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

his research investigates what students feel during open class as part of the lesson study framework and how this affects their learning experience. A descriptive quantitative method was employed in this study. The primary data were obtained from questionnaires that aimed to understand the factors in three components: students' comfort during lesson study, students' perceptions of teachers' performance on teaching and learning, and students' achievement during lesson study. The participants were 21 tenth-grade students from SMA Negeri 8 Malang, East Java, Indonesia, who took part in a biology lesson conducted through the lesson study approach. The results indicate that most students felt positively charged, with 70% feeling comfortable in open classes, 91% providing positive teacher performance feedback, and 93% feeling they had performed well. This study highlighted how lesson study can help create a reflective and cooperative learning culture that benefits all participants, including the teachers. Lesson study promotes a positive environment in the classroom that students see as conducive for engagement and actual learning through improved lesson planning, classroom management, and instructional delivery. The findings also emphasize the need to seek and find methods to increase student comfort and reduce negative emotions experienced by students during open classes. Future research is recommended to examine the long-term impacts of open-class experiences within the lesson study on students' academic motivation, emotional resilience, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

At this time there are many learning modules circulating both printed and electronic (online), however, the development of STEM-based modules that have been carried out does not see the effectiveness of the module. The purpose of this research is to see the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the module. The 4D research methodology (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate) was used. This research was conducted in class X Senior High School. The results showed that the Material Validity Test research obtained 98.57% (Very Valid), the Media Expert Validation Test assessment was 98.6% (Very Valid), the response assessment by the biology teacher was 85% (Practical), the average student response assessment was 86.07% (Practical). The STEM-based environmental change module produced from the research conducted is valid, practical, and effective in increasing the level of environmental literacy among grade X students at Senior High School.ABSTRAK: Pada saat sekarang ini modul pembelajaran sudah banyak beredar baik ditemukan secara cetak maupun juga elektronik (online), walaupun demikian pengembangan modul berbasis STEM yang sudah dilakukan tidak melihat keefektifan dari modul. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan modul. Metodologi penelitian 4D (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate) digunakan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas X SMAS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian Uji Validitas Materi yang diperoleh 98,57% (Sangat Valid), penilaian Uji Validasi Ahli Media adalah 98,6% (Sangat Valid), penilaian respon oleh guru biologi adalah 85% (Praktis), rata-rata penilaian respon siswa adalah 86,07% (Praktis). Modul perubahan lingkungan berbasis STEM yang dihasilkan dari penelitian yang dilakukan adalah valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan tingkat literasi lingkungan di kalangan siswa kelas X di SMAS.

Abstract

Biology teachers have not made regional potential a source of learning. The natural environment around the school is used to support teacher explanations that do not create exploratory. This study aims to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the integrated module of the local potential of South Tapanuli for the biodiversity of the Andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC) plant. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method referring to the 4-D development model developed by Thiagarajan. The small group trial subjects consisted of 14 students of class X MIA-1. The results of the development module research show validity values of 87% and 95% by teaching module and material experts, 87% and 83% practicality values by biology teachers and students, while effectiveness based on individual mastery of student learning outcomes achieves classical mastery of  85% . The overall results meet the valid, practical and effective categories, so that the development module deserves to be a teaching material in learning activities about andaliman plants.ABSTRAK: Guru biologi belum menjadikan potensi daerah sebagai sumber belajar. Lingkungan alam sekitar sekolah dimanfaatkan sebatas mendukung penjelasan guru yang tidak menciptakan eksploratif. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan modul terintegrasi potensi lokal Tapanuli Selatan keanekaragaman hayati tumbuhan andaliman (Zanthoxylum acanthopodium DC). Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) mengacu model pengembangan 4-D dikembangkan Thiagarajan. Subjek uji coba kelompok kecil terdiri 14 peserta didik kelas X MIA-1. Hasil penelitian modul pengembangan menunjukkan nilai kevalidan 87% dan 95% oleh ahli modul ajar dan materi, nilai kepraktisan 87% dan 83% oleh guru biologi dan peserta didik, sementara keefektifan berdasarkan ketuntasan individual dari hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal sebesar 85%. Keseluruhan hasil memenuhi kategori valid, praktis dan efektif, sehingga modul pengembangan layak menjadi bahan ajar didalam kegiatan pembelajaran mengenai keragaman tumbuhan andaliman.

Abstract

Creative thinking must be developed in the learning process, so that students are accustomed to developing their creativity. According to Fadly (2014: 166) media is a component of learning resources or physical vehicles that contain instructional material among students which can stimulate students to learn. to convey messages or learning materials. In addition, learning media is useful for attracting students' interest in learning material and increasing student understanding. The goal is to apply an interesting and student-centered learning model with learning activities that activate students to construct subject matter so as to improve learning outcomes. One learning model that can overcome these problems is Discovery Learning. Discovery is a learning model that was developed based on a constructivism view. Abstract

This study aims to determine the human nervous system in the perspective of the Qur'an. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with the results of the research in the form of descriptive data obtained using a literature review approach. The results of this study indicate that the brain as the human nervous system has a complex function in regulating all human activities. The brain has a role to control all bodily functions such as thinking, hearing, seeing, behaving and displaying emotions. In the perspective of the Qur'an, the brain and human nervous system are the doors of tadabbur to see the Oneness of Allah SWT. The human brain and nervous system are facilities for thinking and doing actions in order to gain knowledge that can convey piety to Allah SWT.

Abstract

Investarization of potential allelopathy plants, allelopathy substances are compounds released by plants into the environment where other plants grow. This study aims to find out the conditions of the allelopathic plant research area in the North Sumatra State Islamic University area and find out the types of weeds found in the North Sumatra State Islamic University area. Based on the research conducted in the observation, it was found that there were 3 species of sea cypress plants and 3 species of pine plants.

Abstract

Pendidikan memang menciptakan perubahan, karena berkenaan dengan penanaman nilai-nilai kebenaran, kesucian dan kebaikan hidup bagi manusia. Dalam perspektif individu, proses pendidikan menghasilkan perubahan tingkah laku anak didik melalui pembinaan atau bimbingan terhadap potensi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media audiovisual dalam pembelajaran biologi materi sistem ekskresi pada manusia terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah kelas XI di Pesantren Fajrul Iman, yang mana sampelnya menggunakan 2 kelas. Kelas XI B sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan strategi pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media audiovisual, sedangkan kelas XI PK sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen menggunakan hasil pretest dan posttest. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa terdapat pengaruh strategi pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan media audiovisual terhadap hasil belajar kognitif biologi siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test the success of Android application media and see the results of practice in the digestive system module of school people. The type of study used is pre-experimental. This study used the concept of one group of pretest-posttest. For research, the activity submitted is the use of Android application media in the human digestive system module. This survey was conducted at Madrasah Nurul Hakim tembung. Research Point Class XI students, a total of 27 students. I took a pre-test before treatment and a total of 50 post-tests after treatment. Analysis of the increase in exercise results was performed using the t-test and the n-gain method. The t-test is used to determine if the increase in training effort is significant. N-Gain, on the other hand, is used to determine an increase in training results. The actual increase in results is the result of N-Gain analysis. It is known that the results of practice are classified as large. As a result, you can see that the numbers before and after the test are compared. T-test (T-test of paired samples) Based on the results of the experiment, we prove that there is a very important comparison. Success can be observed by increasing the effort to practice after the test.
