Abstract

Indonesia’s digital economy has expanded rapidly, but this growth has been accompanied by a sharp rise in cyber threats, particularly ransomware and phishing attacks. Despite this, national cybersecurity investment remains critically low, at just 0.02% of GDP—among the lowest in ASEAN. This study analyzes the structural misalignment between the increasing threat landscape and the country’s financial and policy responses. Using secondary data from 2020 to 2023, it examines attack frequencies, regional investment comparisons, and projected market growth. Key results indicate that while cyber incidents have escalated—from 88 million in early 2020 to 347 million in H1 2023—Indonesia's cybersecurity market is projected to grow from USD 1.07 billion in 2024 to USD 3.48 billion in 2030. However, regulatory fragmentation, limited SME readiness, and underdeveloped public-private coordination remain significant barriers. The study concludes that addressing policy fragmentation, increasing investment, and integrating SMEs into the national strategy are essential to secure Indonesia’s digital future and unlock the potential of its growing cybersecurity market.

Abstract

In the last five years, there has been a significant shift in how user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design are approached within enterprise systems, reflecting the growing demand for more intuitive, adaptive, and inclusive solutions. This study employs a narrative review based on 1,500 initial records screened from Scopus, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, and Google Scholar (2019–2024). After rigorous selection, 82 empirical studies were included, focusing on user-centered design (UCD), adaptive interfaces, and inclusive practices in enterprise environments.. The review draws upon academic sources indexed in Scopus, IEEE Xplore, ACM Digital Library, and Google Scholar. Keywords including "Enterprise Systems," "User Experience," "Interface Design," and "Adaptive User Interfaces" were utilized to identify relevant literature, with inclusion criteria focusing on empirical studies from the last decade. Findings from 82 included studies show that UCD practices enhance usability and user satisfaction, with some reporting 20–30% higher usability scores and faster task completion rates when end-users are actively involved throughout development.. Adaptive interfaces employing machine learning have demonstrated potential to increase task efficiency and user engagement by personalizing content and layout. Moreover, inclusive design strategies, such as universal accessibility features and assistive technologies, contribute to improved user experiences across ability levels. However, systemic barriers like organizational resistance and limited training still hinder optimal implementation. The review highlights the need for strategic design interventions, ongoing usability assessments, and context-sensitive adaptations. As enterprise systems continue to evolve, future research must explore long-term effects of adaptive design and develop unified frameworks for inclusive, responsive interfaces. These efforts are vital to ensure equitable access and effectiveness of enterprise technologies across global and cross-sectoral contexts.

Abstract

Digital accessibility remains a global concern, affecting 1.3 billion people with disabilities. This study evaluates the impact of two policy changes WCAG 2.2 and the 2024 ADA Final Rule on digital interface compliance. A systematic review was conducted using PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Data were sourced from academic databases and regulatory documents spanning 2015–2024. Studies were selected based on their relevance to WCAG/ADA compliance. Quality appraisal was carried out using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool (MMAT), and findings were synthesized narratively across web and mobile contexts. WCAG 2.2 added success criteria to improve usability for users with cognitive, motor, and visual impairments. ADA 2024 requires U.S. public sector platforms to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, while the European Accessibility Act shows uneven implementation among member states. WebAIM’s 2024 audit revealed that 95.9% of websites still fail basic accessibility checks, and mobile platforms show even lower compliance. Common issues include poor contrast, missing alt text, and inadequate touch targets. Automated tools alone are insufficient without assistive technology validation. Over reliance on ARIA, limited developer training, and inconsistent policy enforcement persist as barriers to effective implementation. Regulatory updates represent progress but must be supplemented by education, standardized testing protocols, and user involved design practices. Sustainable accessibility requires a shift from reactive compliance to proactive inclusivity, supported by policy, pedagogy, and participatory design.
