Abstract

AbstractVO2max is an indication of a person's cardiorespiratory endurance. There are various factors that affect the VO2max value, one of which is physical exercise. Some examples of physical exercise, namely interval training, are one way to measure the VO2max value. Knowing the effect of interval training on VO2max in arema club soccer athletes in the Sijunjung district, Sijunjung district. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research sample was the arema club nagari siaur football athlete, Sijunjung district (n = 10) whose VO2max was measured using the Balke Test method. The normality test is Mann-Whitney. The mean VO2max value of the interval training group was Mean 51.2 ml / kg / minute with a minimum value of 50.5 ml / kg / minute and a maximum value of 52.2 ml / kg / minute. Provision of interval training is very beneficial and also has an effect on increasing vo2max in football athletes Arema Club Sijunjung district. Physiologically, it can improve the cardiovascular condition of the ball players. Keywords : Kardiorespirasi, Interval Exercise

Abstract

Urinary system disorders are asymptomatic complications (not realized by patients) which are mostly found in people with diabetes mellitus (DM). There are several factors (age, sex, duration of suffering, smoking, history of hypertension, physical activity, and exercise regulation) that contribute to the onset of urinary system disorders in people with DM, especially type II DM. This study aims to obtain factors related to the occurrence of complications of urinary system disorders in patients with type II DM. This research is categorical analytical research with cross sectional method. Samples were 66 people taken by purposive sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire. Data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate using the Chi-Square test. This study found more than half (56.1%) of type II DM patients who had a urinary system disorder. The results of this study found there were several factors associated with the occurrence of complications of urinary system disorders in DM patients including age, duration of DM, smoking history, physical activity, regularity of exercise, while those not related were gender and history of hypertension. Keywords : DM tipe II, Urinary system disorders AbstrakGangguan sistem kemih merupakan komplikasi asimptomatis (tidak disadari oleh pasien) yang terbanyak ditemukan pada penderita diabetes melitus (DM). Ada beberapa faktor (umur, jenis kelamin, lama menderita, merokok, riwayat hipertensi, aktifitas fisik, dan keeteraturan olahraga) yang memberikan kontribusi terhadap timbulnya gangguan sistem kemih pada penderita DM, khususnya DM tipe II. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan faktor yang berhubungan dengan terjadinya komplikasi gangguan sistem kemih pada penderita DM tipe II. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitikf kategorik dengan metode cross sectional. Sampel berjumlah 66 orang yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner. Data di analisis secara univariat dan bivariat dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Penelitian ini mendapatkan lebih dari setengah (56,1 %) pasien DM tipe II yang mengalami gangguan sistem kemih. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan ada beberapa faktor yang berhubungan dengan terjadinya komplikasi gangguan sistem kemih pada penderita DM diantaranya usia, lama menderita DM, riwayat merokok, aktifitas fisik, keteraturan olahraga, sedangkan yang tidak berhubungan adalah jenis kelamin dan riwayat hipertensi.  Kata kunci : DM tipe II, Gangguan Sistem Kemih

Abstract

Background : Cancer diagnosis is often a stressor for sufferers, especially if you have to undergo cancer treatment such as chemotherapy. The effects of these negative thoughts can cause problems both physically and psychologically which can worsen the patient's condition. Methods: The questionnaire used to see the Acceptance Of Illness Scale (AIS). The number of samples is 180 patients. Data analysis: proportion, chi square. Results: The results showed that 60.6% of the patients admitted to the West Sumatra Provincial Hospital were good. While the factors that affect the quality of life of patients are: Age (p = 0.006), education (p = 0.902), occupation (p = 0.006). Conclusion: Patient acceptance can be increased by optimizing the factors possessed by breast cancer sufferers. Suggestion: Further research on job variables is explained based on professional status.Keywords: Breast Cancer, Acceptance Stage, Acceptance Of Illness

Abstract

As educators, lecturers should integrate sufficient reading materials that could foster not only students’ reading comprehension, critical thinking, or vocabulary mastery, but also local wisdom awareness. Thus, this research focuses on integrating local wisdom, Berau Folklore, into English learning. Specifically, this research aims to: (1) describe the planning stage for using Berau folklore to enhance student’s awareness about local wisdom, (2) explain its use in English practice and media preparation, (3) explain the assessment process, and (4) evaluate its effectiveness as reading material. This study employs exploratory sequential mixed method design. The instruments used were interview, classroom observation, document analysis, and tests. The interview was constructed based on the theory of Bamford and Day (2004) whereas the observation was adopted and modified from Ferdila (2014). The pre-test and post-test were given to 15 tertiary students at STITM Tanjung Redeb, Berau who took the  Extensive Reading class. The implementation of Berau folklore into reading class, involved the stages of pre-reading, while-reading, and post-reading. However, the tests scores indicate that the use of Berau Folklore is considered ineffective as reading materials for tertiary students. Particularly, it did not significantly increase students’ vocabulary. Thus, this study can be a reference for further researchers to find and employ another learning material other than folklore to foster students’ vocabulary mastery and cultural awareness.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve social studies learning outcomes through the use of Canva and Wordwall-based learning media in grade VI students of SD Negeri 74 Bontorita II, Takalar Regency. The subject of this study is grade VI students of SD Negeri 74 Bontorita II, Takalar Regency with a total of 21 students, consisting of 14 boys and 7 girls. This research was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle I which was carried out 3 meetings (the first and second meetings for the learning process and the third meeting for social studies learning outcome assessment activities) and cycle II was also carried out 3 meetings. The two cycles were carried out for 2 months plus summarizing all existing research results. The results of the study show that the use of Canva and Wordwall-based learning media can improve student learning outcomes in social studies learning in class VI UPT SD Negeri 74 Bontorita II, Takalar Regency. This is evidenced by the increase in the average percentage of student learning outcomes in each cycle. In the first cycle, the average student learning outcome was 66 with a learning completion percentage of only 52%. In cycle II, there was a significant increase with the average student learning outcome of 82 with the percentage of learning completion reaching 91%. This means that the average percentage of student learning outcomes has exceeded the set success criteria of 75%.
