Abstract

This community service activity originates from the ongoing challenges faced by higher education institutions in improving the quality of academic writing, particularly theses, which is highly relevant in the Master's Program in Educational Management at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), where students often struggle with critical thinking and the application of appropriate methodologies. The objective of this activity is to enhance students' academic writing skills through an online workshop focused on thesis preparation, covering aspects such as research methodology, data analysis, and structured academic writing. The workshop, held on August 4, 2025, via Zoom Meeting, was attended by 76 active students and featured three experts in the field of educational research who presented material on research frameworks, methodologies, and academic writing techniques. The methods used included synchronous presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and group discussions facilitated by a moderator. The findings indicate that the workshop significantly improved students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor competencies in thesis writing, with active participation and direct interaction with the speakers boosting students' confidence and problem-solving skills. However, technical challenges, such as unstable internet connections, presented barriers. Factors influencing the workshop's effectiveness include speaker competence, student engagement, peer collaboration, technological readiness, and institutional support. The implications of this workshop emphasize the importance of ongoing technical training for both students and lecturers, improvements in digital infrastructure, and continuous mentoring to maintain the quality of academic writing. This model can be further developed into a structured support system for thesis writing in similar academic environments.

Abstract

Abstrak Kualitas pendidikan sangat dipengaruhi oleh profesionalitas guru khususnya kemampuan mereka dalam melakukan pengajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilakukan oleh Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) dan Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) Filipina yang dilaksanakan secara hybrid dengan sasaran guru-guru sekolah islam yang berada di daerah Zamboanga Filipina bagian selatan. Tujuan kegiatan ini untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis, literasi teknologi dan membangun jejaring professional lintas negara. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup sosialisasi, diskusi, pelatihan dan simulasi teknologi Pendidikan, serta mengadakan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan guru seperti model pembelajaran Project Based Learning, Problem Based Learning, Game Based Learning dan Multisensory Approach dan menggunakan aplikasi digital yang interaktif. Kegiatan ini berhasil dalam peningkatan pedagogis guru, literasi teknologi, dan kreatifitas guru. Selain itu kegiatan ini memperkuat jejaring lintas negara dan penguatan sistem pendidikan Islam di wilayah dengan keterbatasan sumber daya Kata Kunci: Profesionalitas guru, Pembelajaran kreatif dan inovatif, Literasi teknologi pendidikan Abstract The quality of education is strongly influenced by teacher professionalism, particularly their ability to carry out creative and innovative teaching. This Community Service activity was conducted by Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) in collaboration with Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), Philippines, and was implemented in a hybrid format targeting Islamic school teachers in the Zamboanga area, Southern Philippines. The purpose of this activity is to improve pedagogical competence, technology literacy for teaching and learning, and to build professional networks across countries. The implementation methods included socialization, discussions, training and simulation of educational technology, as well as ongoing evaluation. The results of this activity showed a significant improvement in teachers’ skills such as Project-Based Learning, Problem-Based Learning, Game-Based Learning, and the Multisensory Approach, as well as the use of interactive digital applications. This activity succeeded in enhancing teachers’ pedagogy, technology literacy, and creativity. In addition, it strengthened cross-country networks and supported the Islamic education system in areas with limited resources. Abstract

Perkembangan sosial, teknologi, dan tuntutan mutu pendidikan yang semakin kompleks mendorong lembaga pendidikan untuk menerapkan pendekatan manajemen yang mampu menjamin kualitas secara berkelanjutan. Total Quality Management (TQM) menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang banyak digunakan untuk merespons tantangan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan systematic literature review guna mensintesis temuan penelitian mengenai penerapan TQM dalam konteks pendidikan. Kajian ini menganalisis 10 artikel ilmiah, terdiri atas 9 jurnal nasional dan 1 jurnal internasional, yang diseleksi melalui tahapan PRISMA. Sintesis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis tematik. Hasil review mengungkap empat tema utama, yaitu TQM sebagai strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan, pentingnya kepemimpinan dan tata kelola, tantangan budaya organisasi dan keterbatasan sumber daya, serta kebutuhan adaptasi TQM terhadap konteks lokal dan global. Secara teoretis, temuan ini memperkuat posisi TQM sebagai pendekatan manajemen yang fleksibel dan kontekstual dalam pendidikan. Secara praktis, hasil kajian ini memberikan rujukan bagi pengelola dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang strategi peningkatan mutu pendidikan yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mengkaji dampak jangka panjang penerapan TQM melalui pendekatan empiris.

Abstract

This study investigates how research on Leadership and employee performance has evolved within the digital transformation landscape through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of publications from 2020 to 2025. The literature search was conducted in Scopus and Google Scholar using the Publish or Perish tool, with search terms including “Leadership," "digital transformation," and "employee performance." The review adhered to the PRISMA framework, which comprises sequential phases: identifying relevant studies, screening titles and abstracts, assessing eligibility, and determining final inclusion. Of 500 initial publications, 30 met all criteria and were analysed comprehensively. The synthesis reveals that both transformational and digital Leadership consistently contribute positively to outcomes such as employee performance, motivation, innovation, and adaptability. The bibliometric results further indicate three dominant thematic groupings: digital Leadership, employee performance, and organisational responses to technological change. Overall, the evidence underscores that effective digital transformation requires not only technological infrastructure but also competent human resources and Leadership approaches that support organisational change. This review enriches theoretical understanding of current research patterns and offers practical guidance for enhancing Leadership capability and human resource development in the digital era.

Abstract

The national policy stipulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 44 of 2024 on the Profession, Career, and Income of Lecturers, although its implementation has been postponed through the Decree of the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Number 63/M/2025, requires higher education institutions to enhance the governance of lecturers’ career management in a more accountable, transparent, and performance-based manner. Universitas Wiralodra Indramayu and Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon, as partner private universities in this Community Service Program, still face challenges related to the alignment of internal regulations, operational procedures, and human resource capacity in managing lecturers’ careers. This program aimed to strengthen institutional readiness and improve the understanding of lecturers and academic administrators through institutional mentoring. The methods employed included situation analysis, problem mapping, development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lecturers’ professional and career services, socialization activities, focus group discussions (FGDs), and implementation assistance. The initial survey results indicated that only approximately 18–30% of lecturers had a good understanding of career-related regulations and mechanisms prior to the program. Following the mentoring activities, an improvement in understanding was observed, as reflected in a higher proportion of lecturers who comprehended functional rank promotion mechanisms, performance assessment based on the tridharma of higher education, and career service procedures in accordance with the established SOPs. In addition to enhancing human resource understanding, this program produced an agreed and implementable SOP for lecturers’ career services and increased the institutional readiness of the partner universities to respond to national policy implementation.   Abstrak Kebijakan Kebijakan nasional melalui Permendikbudristek Nomor 44 Tahun 2024 tentang Profesi, Karir, dan Penghasilan Dosen, meskipun penetapannya ditunda melalui Keputusan Mendiktisainteks Nomor 63/M/2025, menuntut perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kesiapan tata kelola karir dosen yang lebih akuntabel, transparan, dan berbasis kinerja. Universitas Wiralodra Indramayu dan Universitas Swadaya Gunung Jati Cirebon sebagai perguruan tinggi swasta mitra dalam kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) masih menghadapi kendala dalam penyelarasan regulasi internal, prosedur operasional, serta kapasitas sumber daya manusia dalam pengelolaan karir dosen. Kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat kesiapan kelembagaan dan meningkatkan pemahaman dosen serta pengelola melalui pendampingan institusional yang sistematis. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis situasi, penyusunan peta masalah, perumusan Prosedur Operasional Standar (POS) layanan profesi dan karir dosen, sosialisasi, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), serta pendampingan implementasi. Hasil survei awal menunjukkan bahwa hanya sekitar 18–30% dosen memiliki pemahaman yang baik terhadap regulasi dan mekanisme karir dosen sebelum kegiatan. Setelah pendampingan, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman yang ditunjukkan oleh bertambahnya jumlah dosen yang memahami mekanisme kenaikan jabatan fungsional, penilaian kinerja berbasis Tridharma, dan prosedur layanan karir sesuai POS. Selain peningkatan pemahaman sumber daya manusia, kegiatan ini menghasilkan dokumen POS layanan karir dosen yang disepakati dan siap diimplementasikan, serta meningkatkan kesiapan institusional perguruan tinggi mitra dalam menghadapi implementasi kebijakan nasional.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a conceptual framework for character education in senior high schools by systematically mapping implementation patterns, challenges, and strategies to strengthen character values. The research employed a conceptual design using a Systematic Literature Review approach. The units of analysis were research articles on character education at the senior high school level published between 2015 and 2024, sourced from reputable national and international journals. Through predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 37 articles were selected for analysis. Data were examined using content analysis and thematic coding to identify recurring patterns, conceptual relationships, and dominant themes. The findings reveal that character education is constructed through the integration of three core dimensions. The pedagogical dimension emphasizes reflective and experiential learning, positioning students as moral subjects. The cultural dimension is reflected in consistent school culture, educator role modeling, and supportive social interactions. The structural dimension ensures sustainability through moral leadership, participatory policies, and partnerships with families and communities; however, weak integration reduces overall effectiveness.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to comprehensively examine the integration of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and digital technology within the context of 21st-century inclusive education through a narrative literature review. This study employs a narrative literature review method with a qualitative and exploratory approach. The data sources consist of 15 international journal articles published between 2023 and 2025. The research instrument is a manually developed data extraction sheet used to gather information from each article. Data analysis utilizes qualitative thematic analysis with a deductive approach, referencing the UDL theoretical framework. The results of this study: (1) Teachers' knowledge and attitudes towards inclusion remain limited and inconsistent; (2) Structural and policy limitations hinder the implementation of inclusive education; (3) The role of digital technology in supporting the application of UDL to create flexible and adaptive learning; and (4) Issues of access and social justice in higher education, particularly for vulnerable groups such as refugees and individuals with disabilities. This study implies that 21st-century inclusive education cannot be separated from digital transformation and flexible learning design paradigms such as UDL. Technology is positioned not just as an assistive tool but as a structural foundation for designing learning that is responsive to diversity. Approaches based on quality of life, cultural intelligence, and recognition of the socio-political context of learners are key elements in the development of a substantively inclusive educational system.
