Abstract

Humans are creatures that cannot be separated from one another, empathy is something that is indispensable for every human being, empathy is said to be the core of emotion, considering the importance of the character of empathy for every human being, this needs to be grown and developed in students. This study aimed to determine the validity and reliability of the empathy scale. Researchers used an instrument development design consisting of: (1) research and informing; (2) planning; (3) developing a preliminary form of product; (4) preliminary field testing; (5) main product revision. The population in this study was 270 students of class XI SMAN 1 Pare with a sample of 30 students. Data analysis was carried out using product-moment correlation and Cronbach's Alpha. From the initial instrument design of 30 items, there were 30 invalid items, leaving 23 valid items while the Cronbach alpha value was 0.852 which was included in the good category. Thus, the instrument is ready to use.

Abstract

Changes in learning patterns put demands on students with a state of believing in their own abilities, believing in their ability to grow, encouraging curiosity, encouragement to want to succeed, encouragement to cooperate, initiative, perseverance, and independence. For this reason, the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of self-efficacy and achievement motivation on self-directed learning readiness. The research design used is quantitative with a correlational design. The number of samples in this study were 488 students. The instruments used are self-efficacy scale, achievement motivation scale, and self-directed learning readiness. The data analysis in this study is multiple regression analysis by going through the assumption test as a prerequisite. The results of the assumption test which include normality and heteroscedasticity have been declared eligible. Then, on the results of multiple regression analysis with the value of t count > t table, the self-efficacy value of 12,060 > 2,248 means that H1 is accepted. Furthermore, the value of achievement motivation is 5.992 > 2.248, which means that H2 is accepted. In the simultaneous F test with a calculated F value of 90.524 > F table of 1.195, which means that H3 is accepted, this means that simultaneously self-efficacy and achievement motivation affect the self-directed learning readiness. It can be concluded that self-directed learning readiness students’ increases due to their self-efficacy and encouragement to achieve goals or achievement motivation. Thus, based on the purpose of this research, it is possible to contribute in the form of self-directed learning readiness students to facilitate the educational process in any situation.

Abstract

  Indonesia merupakan negara yang penuh dengan kekayaan salah satunya adalah keberagaman budaya. Budaya di setiap daerah memiliki ciri khas yang berbeda dan budaya sangat erat kaitannya dengan masyarakat Indonesia. Salah satu contoh budaya adalah budaya wayang. Tokoh pewayangan Sang Gatotkaca, tokoh ini merupakan tokoh yang bijaksana, suka menolong, pemberani dan bertanggung jawab dan tokoh ini digambarkan melalui media permainan slot online untuk meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa yang rendah. Melalui permainan slot ini diharapkan siswa mampu meningkatkan rasa percaya diri yang rendah sehingga nantinya dapat memiliki rasa percaya diri yang jauh lebih baik seperti tokoh Sang Gatotkaca dalam bentuk permainan. Hasil uji media menggunakan slot demo yang dilakukan dengan 2 orang penguji ahli materi dan 2 orang penguji ahli media mendapatkan hasil dari 10 indikator pada uji ahli ke 10 mendapatkan nilai D dan hasil untuk 23 indikator uji media mendapatkan hasil yang sama yaitu D atau mendapatkan relevansi tinggi dari kedua ahli. Dengan demikian apabila relevansi dari kedua ahli tinggi maka media Gatotkaca layak digunakan sebagai media layanan konseling, dan untuk tahap selanjutnya dapat dilanjutkan dengan uji coba media pada kelompok kecil.

Abstract

A great nation is not determined by the natural wealth and technology possessed by a nation, but because of the strong character of the nation. Based on this statement, strengthening character education needs to be implemented to support the strengthening of the character of the nation's next generation. Based on a preliminary study conducted in vocational high schools, it is found that many students have low religious character. This is necessary to remember the importance of religious character as a balance to other characters. The final goal to be realized in this study is to develop an android application innovation to strengthen the religious character of Vocational High School students that can be accepted theoretically and practically so that it can be widely used in educational settings as one of the guidance media that aims to overcome the problem of religious character in student classes. The development model used in this study was adapted from the development research model of Borg & Gall (1983). Currently the research process is in stage 3, namely the initial development of the wrong product design, namely developing a scale instrument for religious character. The scale of religious character consists of 28 statement items whose development is based on the religious dimensions of Glock and Strak (1974), namely dimensional beliefs, dimensions of religious practice, dimensions of appreciation, and dimensions of loss and experience. In this article we will build on the validity and reliability of the statement items on the religious character scale. The validity results obtained were in the form of 24 statement items that were declared valid and the instruments were declared valid for use, as evidenced by the reliability value of 0.971 or in the very high category.
