Abstract

Free-range chicken farming is a business that has the potential to meet family needs, and has a large role in supporting the community's economy. Many of these farms are found in rural areas, generally of a traditional nature. Simple housing and simple feeding such as providing kitchen waste. The rest of the chickens themselves have to try to survive and fulfill their food needs in the yard. The negative impact of maintenance like this is low production and damage to yard plants. The main aim of this activity is to maintain livestock health by making and administering herbal medicine/fermented herbal medicine which is made together in groups (demonstration plots). Apart from that, train and motivate farmers to improve the rearing system so that they can develop free-range chicken farming businesses and become providers of chicken seeds. The target of implementing community service activities is a group of village chicken breeders in Uraur village, Kairatu sub-district, who have the will to implement new innovations to increase production and welfare of their families/community as well as for the chicken breeder community in general. The success of this activity is measured by the farmer's attention to chicken farming. Chickens given herbal medicine have better body resistance to disease and extreme environmental influences.

Abstract

Marriage is a covenant that legitimizes the interaction between men and women who are not mahrams, thereby establishing rights and obligations between them. Marriage will be a harmonious, loving, and compassionate family, namely a peaceful, loving, and caring family. This will be achieved if the prospective spouses have knowledge in planning a quality family and possess skills in managing the family. However, the reality is that many married couples are unable to maintain their households or experience divorce between husband and wife. This is because they lack the knowledge to plan a quality family and the skills to manage it. The purpose of premarital marriage guidance activities for prospective brides and grooms at the Office of Religious Affairs in the Kuranji District of Padang City is to guide prospective brides and grooms so that they have knowledge in planning a quality family and possess skills in managing a harmonious, loving, and compassionate family. The methods used in premarital marriage guidance activities for prospective brides and grooms include discussion, question and answer sessions, and visualization of the beauty and challenges of married life. The result of premarital marriage guidance activities for brides-to-be is that every candidate who will marry has knowledge in planning a quality family and has skills in managing the family so that sakinah-mawaddah-wa-rahmah hospitality is realized.

Abstract

Kampung chicken farms that are widely available in rural areas are generally traditional. The farmer's intervention in their maintenance is limited to ownership, simple cages and sometimes simple additional feed such as giving kitchen waste. The purpose of this activity is to increase the growth of free-range chickens and utilize local materials such as sago elastin, cassava leaves and earthworms. The target of implementing community service activities is breeders of free-range chicken business partners in Kusu-Kusu Hamlet. The methods used are lectures, discussions and training demonstrations on the processing and application of free-range chicken rations. The results showed that improving the ration with a nutritional composition of 17.83% crude protein, 6.37% crude fiber, 5.91% fat and 2873.012 Kcal metabolic energy could increase the free-range chicken body weight by 618.91 g, which was different than without application of science and technology of 359.00 grams, which is equal to 58.01%.

Abstract

Native chicken farms can support the community's economy, there are many in rural areas and are generally traditional. Human intervention in maintenance is limited to ownership, housing and limited feed. The negative impact of maintenance like this is low production. Objectives: 1. Increase chicken production, utilize fisheries and agricultural waste (sago dregs, cassava leaves, lamtoro leaves). 2. Increase the knowledge and skills of breeders on how to process feed ingredients and prepare rations. 3. Train and motivate farmers to improve maintenance systems and develop their livestock business. The target of this activity is a group of native chicken breeders (Dasawisma group). The success of this activity is measured through better farmer attention (80%) to the livestock being kept and better production. Treatment results on IbM livestock rations resulted in egg production and egg quality which were 25-40% better, and DOC weight was quite high compared to the extensive method (conventional feed). Groups can have increased knowledge about feed and applicable hatchery technology

Abstract

This research aims to comprehend the practice of dividing the inheritance in Saruaso and Sawah Tangah Villages following the distribution principle of inheritance law distribution in Islam. The problem was that there were different views on the distribution of inheritance in the Saruaso and Sawah Tangah Villages with the provisions on the distribution of inheritance based on Islamic teachings. Meanwhile, the people of Saruaso and Sawah Tangah Villages embraced Islam. This research used a survey method. The research object was Niniak Mamak (indigenous stakeholders) and Bundo Kanduang (village's mothers) in two villages, Kanagarian Saruaso and Kanagarian Sawah Tangah. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling technique. The results of this research are the practice of dividing inheritance in Saruaso and Sawah Tangah Village; in this case, low inheritance does not conflict with the provisions that apply to inheritance law in Islamic teachings (based on Faraid law). While the division of high inheritance follows customary provisions, this is because the high inheritance belongs to the people (tribes), cannot be traded, and cannot be divided individually.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the diversity of body weight and body size, and analyze the genetic distance of native chickens in Leihitu Barat District, Central Maluku Regency. Data were collected through observation and measurement of samples of 196 adult male and female chickens from five villages, namely Hatu, Liliboy, Allang, Wakasihu, and Larike, which represent the native chicken population. The morphometric variables observed included body weight, chest circumference, wing length, thigh length, calf length, shank length, third toe length, and pubic width. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to calculate the mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation, while canonical discriminant analysis was used to identify the most influential morphometric variables in differentiating native chicken subpopulations according to village. Genetic distance between subpopulations was calculated based on differences in body size characters and visualized in the form of a phenogram. The results of the study showed that the body weight and body measurements of native chickens in West Leihitu District still have a high level of diversity between one village and another, and roosters have a greater average value than hens also in all body size traits measured. The length of the third toe is the body measurements that play the most role in distinguishing the subpopulations of native chickens. Based on their genetic distance, the subpopulations of native chickens in Larike and Liliboy Villages have the closest kinship relationship, followed by Hatu and Allang Villages, which are also close and form a homogeneous genetic group, and Wakasihu Village shows the farthest genetic distance, forming its own cluster.

Abstract

Native chickens are among the livestock commonly raised in rural areas and have great potential to meet household food needs and supplement family income. Seruawan Village, located at an altitude of 5–10 meters above sea level, borders Kamarian Village to the east, Kairatu Village to the west, the Seram Sea to the south, and the mountains to the north. Poultry farming in this area is generally traditional, with limited human intervention in management, such as simple housing, ownership, and the provision of basic supplementary feed like kitchen waste. This community service program aims to increase the productivity of native chickens through the selection of superior breeding stock and the utilization of fishery and agricultural waste. The specific objectives are: (1) to improve farmers’ knowledge and skills in crossbreeding and selective breeding using superior strains such as KUB, super, and Bangkok chickens; (2) to train and motivate farmers to enhance management systems and become local breeders; and (3) to encourage proper record-keeping practices. The program targets local poultry farmer groups who are willing to adopt new innovations to improve production and family welfare. Its success is reflected in farmers’ increased attention and active participation during training and demonstration activities.
