Abstract

Discipline assessment of employee performance is one of the factors to improve the situation of the quality of human resources. Monitoring and assessment of employee discipline must be carried out continuously as some of the characteristics of management that have gone well as a benchmark for considering the targets that have been set. The K-Means method and the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) method are non-hierarchical cluster methods. Both methods attempt to partition data into one or more clusters, so that data with the same characteristics are grouped into the same cluster or groups and data with different characteristics are grouped into other groups. This study discusses the comparison of the K-Means method and the Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) method in analyzing employee performance at PT. Cemara Khatulistiwa Persada Bontang, where groups of employees with high, medium, and low levels of employee performance will be determined based on the clustering results of the two methods and determine the best method. The grouping of data for the two methods was obtained from employee attendance data in 2020. Based on the results, it was found that clustering using the K-Means method in the first cluster (low performance level) had 23 employees, the second cluster (medium performance level) had 27 employees, and cluster the third (high performance level) there are 30 employees. Then based on the results of clustering using the FCM method in the first cluster (medium performance level) there are 26 employees, the second cluster (high performance level) there are 31 employees, and the third cluster (low performance level) there are 23 employees. Based on the results of the standard deviation ratio, it was obtained that the K-Means method with a value of 2.4944 was better than the FCM method with a value of 2.7323 in clustering employee performance at PT. Cemara Khatulistiwa Persada.

Abstract

The Human Development Index is an indicator used to measure one important aspect related to the quality of the results of economic development, namely the degree of human development. Data Mining is a technique or process for obtained information from large database warehouses. Based on its function, one of the data mining tasks was to group data, where the method used in this study was the C-Means and Fuzzy C-Means grouping methods. The two classification methods were applied to the human development index indicator data. The purpose of this study was to determined the best method based on the ratio of the standard deviation in clusters to the standard deviation between clusters. Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded that the best method is the C-Means method with the value of the standard deviation value in the cluster against the standard deviation between clusters of 0.434 which results in 5 clusters, namely cluster 1 consisting of 9 districts / cities, cluster 2 consisting of 7 districts / cities, cluster 3 consists of 10 districts / cities, cluster 4 consists of 15 districts / cities and cluster 5 consists of 15 districts / cities.

Abstract

Text mining is the text analysis that automatically discover quality information from a series of texts that is summarized in a document. K-Means Clustering method is often used because of its ability to make a group of large amounts of data with relatively fast and efficient computing time. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal number of the groups formed from the thesis documents and determine the results of the groups formed. This study is using Nazief and Adriani algorithms for the stemming step, Euclidean Similarity to calculate document distances, and Silhouette Coefficient to test the cluster validity. The sample in this study is 119 thesis documents of Statistics Study Program, Mathematics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, graduates of 2016-2018. Based on the results of the analysis, the optimal number of groups formed is two clusters with a silhouette coefficient of 0.12. The results of the grouping formed are two clusters with the total of the first cluster is 85 documents and the second cluster is 34 documents. The first cluster is dominated by studies with data mining especially classification, time series analysis, regression analysis, survival analysis, spatial analysis and operational research, and the second cluster is dominated by studies with multivariate analysis, quality control, and insurance mathematics.

Abstract

Classification was grouping samples based on similarities and differences by using categorical variables. The classification method used in this study was the Improved Chi-square Automatic Interaction Detection (I-CHAID) which was an improvement from the CHAID method. This research aims to provide an overview of poor households and classify poor households, and to compare the accuracy of the classification results for each data proportion. The data used is household data in Kaubun District in 2020 with poor and non-poor status. The results of this study indicate that there were 10 households with poor status, and households were classified as poor if the frequency of eating is less than 3 times a day, and the best classification accuracy results use the proportion of training data of 60% and testing data of 40%.

Abstract

Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) is an efficient cluster analysis in handling high dimensional and large dataset. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) is an effective in nonlinear optimization problems and easy to implement. A clustering process occurs if all data can clustered into 1 cluster, however if one or two data did not join then the data have a deviant behavior called outliers or noise. PSO is used to evolve the weights for SOM to improve the clustering result and to cluster some social aspect in society, for example is poverty. Development strategies are prioritized to regions with largest population lived in poverty. Kutai Kartanegara regency (Kukar) are recorded as the biggest contributor on population lived in poverty at East Kalimantan in 2017. Development of underdeveloped villages is requires Village Potential data, which focus on visualizing the situation in the regions. This study aims to determine the number of clusters formed and to find the value of Davies Bouldin Index (DBI) from clustering underdeveloped villages in Kukar region using PODES 2018 data. This study uses 9 particle which are the final weight of the SOMs algorithm with different learning rate each particle. Based on the analysis, the optimal number of clusters is 2 clusters with DBI value of 0.7803, where cluster 1 consists of 82 underdeveloped villages and the cluster 2 consist of underdeveloped villages.

Abstract

Traffic refers to the arrangement of traffic lights at road intersections to regulate vehicle flow. Traffic congestion is a frequent issue in various cities, including Bontang city. This congestion often occurs at several intersections such as Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3 and Simpang Tiga Yabis in Bontang. There are many traffic lights with short green light duration and long red light duration. This study aims to optimize traffic light durations at Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3 and Simpang Tiga Yabis using the Welch-Powell algorithm. Welch-Powell is a graph coloring algorithm based on largest degree. Secondary data obtained from the Transportation Department of Bontang City, including road segments, vehicle directions, red and green light durations. Based on calculations results, using the Welch-Powell algorithm for vertex coloring a chromatic number of 4 was obtained for the Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3 graph, and a chromatic number of 3 was obtained for the Simpang Tiga Yabis graph. The effectiveness level revealed a 3.053% decrease in red light and a 10.435% increase in green light at Simpang Empat Kayu Mas KM 3. At Simpang Tiga Yabis, there was a 13.043% decrease in red light and a 42.857% increase in green light.

Abstract

Riset operasi dapat diimplementasikan pada masalah transportasi yang mencakup distribusi barang dari suatu sumber ke tujuan dengan biaya minimum yang optimal. Toko yang memiliki masalah transportasi ialah Toko Ma'77 Kecamatan Bengalon. Toko Ma'77 Kecamatan Bengalon merupakan tempat usaha yang mendistribusikan pupuk dari empat sumber gudang ke empat tujuan kecamatan. Pada penelitian ini, metode pendekatan Russel digunakan untuk meminimumkan biaya transportasi dengan pendekatan selisih biaya terbesar antara biaya distribusi masing-masing sel dengan selisih biaya terbesar antara biaya distribusi masing-masing sumber dan tujuan dimana sel itu berada sehingga menghasilkan biaya minimum. Selanjutnya, proses optimalisasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode MODI. Hasil penelitian ini dengan menggunakan metode pendekatan russel dalam pendistribusian pupuk pada Toko Ma’77 Kecamatan Bengalon diperoleh biaya transportasi dari Gudang Pupuk Phonska ke Kecamatan Kaliorang Rp240.000 dan ke Kecamatan Karangan Rp1.360.000, dari Gudang Pupuk Mutiara Tani ke Kecamatan Sandaran Rp600.000, ke Kecamatan Karangan Rp1.200.000 dan ke Kecamatan Kaubun Rp1.800.000, dari Gudang Pupuk Green Subur ke Kecamatan Kaliorang Rp1.400.000 dan dari Gudang Pupuk Urea Granul ke Kecamatan Sandaran Rp1.440.000. Kemudian, didapat bahwa total biaya transportasi optimal yaitu sebesar Rp8.040.000 (Januari-Februari 2023) dan menghemat biaya sebesar Rp522.500 dari biaya sebelumnya yaitu sebesar Rp8.562.500.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru-guru matematika SMA/MA Kota Samarinda melalui pengenalan penggunaan perangkat lunak LaTeX Beamer dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran berupa slide presentasi. Guru merupakan satu elemen penting yang mendukung terlaksananya proses belajar mengajar. Matematika adalah salah satu mata pelajaran yang dikategorikan sulit dan cukup rumit dalam penyampaiannya. Hal ini dikarenakan banyaknya rumus yang akan diinput saat pembuatan media ajar baik berupa slide presentasi maupun modul ajar, sehingga dibutuhkan perangkat lunak yang dapat memudahkan guru dalam pembuatan media ajar yang lebih menarik dan praktis. Beamer adalah salah satu document class dari LaTeX yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat presentasi dengan lebih mudah dan efisien. Namun, sebagian besar guru-guru Matematika SMA di Samarinda belum menggunakan perangkat lunak tersebut untuk mendukung proses situs slot gacor terpercaya pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, dalam Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilakukan pelatihan penggunaan LaTeX Beamer untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membuat media ajar, slide presentasi bagi guru-guru SMA khususnya yang tergabung dalam Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Matematika SMA di Kota Samarinda. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tatap muka, praktik langsung, dan diskusi. Setelah dilakukan pengabdian, peserta pengabdian semakin lebih memahami manfaat LaTeX Beamer ini, dan ke depannya bisa digunakan oleh mereka dalam membuat media pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstrak Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran penting pada kurikulum yang berlaku di Indonesia. Pada pembelajaran matematika dibutuhkan suatu alat yang dapat digunakan untuk memudahkan siswa memahami apa yang telah disampaikan oleh guru di kelas. Salah satu contoh media pembelajaran adalah menggunakan media permainan ular tangga edukasi yang telah teruji validitasnya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan hasil belajar siswa. Pembelajaran matematika di SMPN 42 Samarinda masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini mengakibatkan siswa kesulitan dalam memahami pelajaran terdata hanya 10,53% siswa yang mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal. Prodi Matematika FMIPA Universitas Mulawarman memberikan kontribusi untuk mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian terkait pendampingan siswa di SMPN 42 Samarinda dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan memanfaatkan media permainan ular tangga. Jenis kegiatan ini adalah pra-eksperimen dengan model one group po-test pos-test design. Subjek pengabdian ini adalah siswa kelas VII sebanyak 32 orang. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pendampingan kepada siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan harapan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dan siswa lebih terlatih dalam pembelajaran matematika. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukan adanya peningkatan yang cukup signifikan dari rata-rata nilai pre-test (48,67) sampai post-test (73.33). Selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, diperoleh nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Sesuai kaidah pengambilan keputusan dalam uji Wilcoxon, jika nilai sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 maka hipotesis H0 ditolak yaitu terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa tim pengabdian kepada masyarakat berhasil meningkatan hasil belajar siswa SMPN 42 Samarinda. Kata kunci: pembelajaran matematika; media pembelajaran; permainan ular tangga. Abstract Mathematics is one of the important subjects in the curriculum in Indonesia. In learning mathematics, a tool is needed that can be used to make it easier for students to understand what has been conveyed by the teacher in class. One example of learning media is using educational snakes and ladders game media that has been tested for validity in improving students' understanding and learning outcomes. Mathematics learning at SMPN 42 Samarinda still uses conventional learning methods. This results in students' difficulties in understanding the lessons recorded, only 10.53% of students achieving the Minimum Completion Criteria. The Mathematics Study Program, FMIPA, Mulawarman University, contributed to holding community service activities related to mentoring students at SMPN 42 Samarinda in learning mathematics by utilizing snakes and ladders game media. This type of activity is a pre-experiment with a one group po-test post-test design model. The subjects of this community service were 32 grade VII students. The purpose of this activity is to provide mentoring to students in learning mathematics with the hope of improving learning outcomes and students practicing more in learning mathematics. The results obtained showed a significant increase from the average pre-test score (48.67) to post-test (73.33). Furthermore, the data was analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, obtaining a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. According to the decision-making rules in the Wilcoxon test, if the sig. (2-tailed) value <0.05 then the H0 hypothesis is rejected, namely there is a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. So it can be concluded that the community service team has succeeded in improving the learning outcomes of SMPN 42 Samarinda students. Keywords: mathematics learning; learning media; snakes and ladders game.

Abstract

Algoritma Neighbor Weighted K-Nearest Neighbor (NWKNN) merupakan pengembangan dari algoritma K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), dengan memberikan bobot pada setiap kelas yang akan diklasifikasikan. Penelitian ini membahas tentang klasifikasi menggunakan algoritma NWKNN yang diaplikasikan pada data status pembayaran premi. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui nilai eksponen (E) dan nilai ketetanggaan (K) yang optimal, serta nilai akurasi dari klasifikasi data status pembayaran Premi di PT. Bumiputera Kota Samarinda. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menentukan nilai E dan nilai K menggunakan k-fold cross validation, menghitung jarak euclidean, menghitung bobot dan skor setiap kelas, melihat nilai skor terbesar untuk menentukan hasil klasifikasi, kemudian menghitung nilai akurasi klasifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai K dan nilai E yang optimal untuk klasifikasi status pembayaran premi di PT. Bumiputera Kota Samarinda menggunakan NWKNN sebesar K=3 dan E=6 dengan nilai akurasi sebesar 75%.
