Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of digital marketing strategies on the performance of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Bali. Through a quantitative approach, this study tests the hypothesis that various digital marketing strategies-including search engine optimisation, content marketing, social media marketing, email marketing, and influencer marketing-significantly predict SME performance. The findings show that the implementation of these strategies contributes to increased sales, market share, and better customer relationships. Although the hypothesis regarding dynamic environment moderation did not show significant effects, the study identified challenges that SMEs face, such as resource limitations and digital literacy deficits. The results recommend that SMEs should utilise digital channels more effectively and conduct data-driven analysis to optimise marketing strategies. This research confirms the importance of digital marketing as a vital tool for the growth and success of SMEs in Bali.

Abstract

A common issue in Indonesian cooperatives is poor coordination and communication among employees. Routine and annual member meetings often do not run effectively, leading to minimal business activity and transaction flows due to low member participation. Effective communication and coordination are essential for any organization, including cooperatives, yet available digital technologies remain underutilized. Management plays a crucial role in organizing and supervising employees to enhance professionalism and discipline. A supportive work environment, clear regulations, and strong workplace relationships are necessary for optimizing employee performance and adaptability. Increased productivity directly correlates with improved performance. This study analyzes the impact of the work environment and organizational communication on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating factor in savings and loan cooperatives in Tanah Lot, Tabanan, Bali. The study population includes 150 employees from five cooperatives: Dwi Guna, Gunung Tegaljaya, Dana Mulya Jaya Lestari, KSP Karidana, and Kerta Yuga. Using proportional random sampling with the Slovin formula, 110 employees were selected. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). Results show that the work environment and organizational communication positively and significantly affect job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction also significantly impacts performance and mediates the relationships between both work environment and communication with employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering a positive work environment and effective communication to enhance job satisfaction and performance in cooperatives.

Abstract

The existence and advancement of organizations, whether in the public or private sector, relies heavily on the strategic role of Human Resources (HR) as the main driving force. This study aims to analyze the effect of Work Environment and Workload on Employee Performance, with Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable, at the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Papua Province. A quantitative approach was employed, with a total population of 39 employees from the Secretariat Division. The sampling technique used was saturated sampling, where all members of the population were included as samples. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling with the Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results show that the Work Environment has a positive and significant effect on both Employee Performance and Job Satisfaction. Workload has a negative and insignificant effect on Employee Performance, but a negative and significant effect on Job Satisfaction. Furthermore, Job Satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance. The mediation analysis reveals that Job Satisfaction partially mediates the effect of the Work Environment on Employee Performance, but does not mediate the effect of Workload on Employee Performance.

Abstract

Sarining Trigona Pertiwi, a beekeeping group established on June 6, 2020, in Bongkasa Pertiwi Village, Badung Regency, Bali, emerged during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide supplementary income amidst economic turmoil. Starting with 470 colonies of stingless bees, including Tetragonula Laevicheps and Heterotrigona Itama, the organization has expanded to 620 colonies and now consists of 22 members. With financial backing from The Aqua, a private company, the group produces honey in 250 ml and 100 ml sizes and has embraced eco-tourism to educate visitors about honey harvesting and environmental conservation. Despite employing best practices such as regular hive inspections and sustainable harvesting methods, Sarining Trigona Pertiwi faces substantial postharvest and marketing challenges. These include a lack of standardized postharvest protocols, inadequate hygiene and storage practices, high moisture content in honey, and the absence of commercial licenses. Marketing obstacles encompass an undefined market, poor packaging and labeling, limited social media presence, and ambiguous brand identity. Addressing these issues is critical for enhancing Sarining Trigona Pertiwi's operations' productivity and sustainability, ensuring this community initiative's long-term success and economic stability. Abstract

International tourism trends are shifting towards unconventional destinations like rural areas for their serene ambiance, contrasting with traditional spots. This prompts research, particularly at Jaga Satru Waterfall, to assess its tourist appeal and potential. The study aims to evaluate the "4A" potential for developing Jaga Satru Waterfall as a tourist site, along with devising general and alternative strategies. The study involves tourists, tourism managers, government officials, community leaders, and locals. Purposive Sampling was employed with a sample size of 30 individuals. Data analysis utilized the Internal External Matrix, SWOT Analysis Diagram, and SWOT Matrix. The research results show: The attractions include the Jaga Satru waterfall, views of Nyegara-Mountain Nature, the tallest statue of God Brahma in Bali and the Sudamala Emblemishing site. Accessibility is quite good even though there are curves and inclines when accessing the area and visitors have to climb down 160 steps with bamboo and iron guards. Amenities are quite good but need to be improved, such as parking area facilities, public toilets/toilets, and restaurants and relaxing areas. Ansilari, namely the official village, has formed a Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS). POKDARWIS in this village is under the coordination of the Pateh traditional village head. General strategies include the management of the Jaga Satru Waterfall DTW needing to improve road access to this area and add various tourism facilities such as souvenir shops and information centers for tourists. Alternative strategies for developing the Jaga Satru Waterfall DTW are implemented in 4 SWOT strategies.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Indonesia encourages the development of rural tourism as an instrument for local economic recovery. This study aims to test a Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB)-based model that integrates the role of Social Networking Sites (SNS) on the intention to participate in rural tourism and its impact on sustainability. The research method uses a quantitative survey with a convenience sampling approach. Data was collected through a Google Form which was distributed to 130 student respondents. Data analysis was carried out using SmartPLS to test structural models and relationships between variables. The results of the analysis showed that attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control had a significant effect on the intention to participate in rural tourism. The use of social media has been shown to moderate the relationship between the SDG variables and the intention to participate. These findings confirm the validity of the proposed model. The implications of the research provide a theoretical contribution to the development of the SDG model in the context of digital tourism and practical for rural destination managers in designing social media-based marketing strategies. The limitations of research related to the use of convenience sampling require careful interpretation of the results regarding their external validity.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to empower kris craft enterprises in Gianyar Regency by integrating cultural preservation and economic development. The focus is on Sanggar Nami Pusaka, a workshop that produces krises and is dedicated to cultural preservation. The main challenges faced by kris craftsmen include limited managerial and marketing knowledge, restricted market access, and artisan regeneration issues. This craft is often viewed as a traditional activity rather than a sustainable business. Using a Community-Based Empowerment (CBE) approach, the program provides direct assistance in technology implementation and strategic planning, with an evaluation stage to assess the impact and develop a sustainability plan for Nami Pusaka. The program aims to transform Nami Pusaka from a workshop into a more organized business. Through training, the workshop can now access broader markets via digital platforms and improve financial management. The program has led to increased income and strengthened cultural identity, demonstrating that traditional crafts can thrive as a sustainable economic sector. Future recommendations include expanding the program, collaborating with more partners, and focusing on the regeneration of young artisans, with the ultimate goal of global recognition for Gianyar's kris as both a cultural heritage and high-value product.
