Abstract

Abstract

The increasing cases of sexual violence against children in Indonesia highlight the need for educational interventions to enhance parental knowledge in preventing such incidents. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of sex education psychoeducation in improving parents knowledge regarding protecting elementary school students from sexual violence. The method used is a one-group pretest-posttest design, involving 14 mothers as participants. The results showed a significant increase in participants knowledge after the psychoeducation intervention. Thus, sex education psychoeducation is effective as a preventive measure to provide parents with an understanding of the importance of protecting children from sexual violence. This study suggests broader implementation of psychoeducation to build a generation more aware of rights and self-protection

Abstract

Batik, a cultural artifact full of philosophical values, is now seen as just a part of fashion style and a sweetening element. Many people, especially children, do not understand the symbolic meanings of the aesthetic elements of batik. This problem is commonplace in Indonesia, including Cirebon. As batik centers, only a few schools in Cirebon provide opportunities for their students to learn batik. If the meaning of batik is to be taught to the younger generation, then an approach using new media can be an alternative to introduce it persuasively. One medium that is close and has the potential to introduce batik to children is 2D animation. The research method that will be used is qualitative. The animation process starts with several stages, from collecting data about the batik we want to make into a story theme: Batik Sawat Pengantin Cirebon. Data collection was done by direct observation and interviews. After the data is collected, the next step is to search for story ideas, create scenarios, design visual concepts, and create storyboards. Then, the animation production process can be carried out. This research will focus on the storyboard design part, namely the clean-up storyboard and animatic storyboard, which will guide in making 2D animation.

Abstract

The internet has become essential to people of all ages, particularly teenagers, to access information, education, and entertainment. Studying adolescents' well-being has become a hot topic lately, with digital technology and the internet as part of everyday life. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of gender in moderating the relationship between parental and peer relationships with adolescent well-being. Participants in this study were 749 internet user adolescents from various regions in Indonesia, who were selected using convenient sampling techniques. Data was collected online using the EPOCH measure for adolescent well-being, parent-adolescent relationship scales, and friendship quality scales. The results of the hierarchical linear modelling indicate that there is a positive correlation between parent and peer relationships, and adolescent well-being. The findings indicate that the relationship between the two variables is more pronounced among the male population than the female population.

Abstract

Resilience is an important ability possessed by individuals when facing a stressful situation in order to be able to survive and bounce back, including when facing the Covid-19 pandemic and being a Covid-19 survivor. Healthcare workers are one of the professions that are most vulnerable being psychologically affected when handling the Covid-19 pandemic. There are many reasons why Healthcare Workers experience psychological pressures when handling the Covid-19 pandemic; those are increasing workload, changing work situations and techniques, and facing stigma from the community. Those pressures are increased when they become Covid-19 survivors. The Healthcare Workers experienced boredom, stress, and anxiety in their recovery process, and it got worse when their family was also infected with Covid-19 because the healthcare workers were not merely thinking about their own condition but also thinking about their families condition. This study aims to see an overview of the resilience process in Healthcare Workers whose whole family members also become positive Covid-19 survivors. This study used a qualitative method using a phenomenological approach and applied interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA) for the data analysis techniques. The subjects in this study consisted of three Healthcare Workers Covid-19 survivors who work in one of the Public Health Centre in Payakumbuh, whose whole family became Covid-19 survivors too. This study applied a semi-structured interview technique and used interview guidelines as a data collection method. The results of this study found that the three subjects went through a phase in the process for resilience. In the three subjects, eight themes related to resilience were found, namely Stress Facing, Comprehension of Condition, Concern to Others, Optimism, Coping Strategies, Receive and Adaptation, Support System, and Wisdom.

Abstract

Truant behavior is a problem in the world of education that has a negative impact on students, such as missing lessons and being expelled from school. The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the quality of school life and truant behavior. This research is a quantitative correlation type research. Data collection techniques in this research were a quality of school life scale and a truant behavior scale. The research subjects of this study were 62 grade 11 students from 3 private high schools in Kuranji District, Padang City. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The data analysis technique used is product moment analysis. The results of this hypothesis test show that the correlation coefficient is r=-0.836 with a significance of p=0.00 (p<0.05). The results of this research show that there is a negative relationship between the quality of school life and truancy behavior among private high school students in Kuranji District, Padang City.

Abstract

Current developments and modernization are increasing and greatly influencing a person's lifestyle. This research aims to determine the relationship between conformity and hedonic lifestyle in students. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational approach. The subjects in this research were 272 Padang City students who met the criteria set using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this research uses a hedonic lifestyle scale with a reliability of 0.942 and a conformity scale with a reliability of 0.942. Data analysis uses product moment correlation with the help of the Statistical Package for Sciences (SPSS) 26.0 for Windows program to obtain hypothesis test results with a value of r = 0.372 with a significance value of p = 0.00 (p<0.05). This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between conformity and the hedonic lifestyle of Padang City students, meaning that the higher the student's conformity, the higher the hedonic lifestyle carried out by the student. Overall, the results show that the majority of Padang City students have a moderate conformity and hedonic lifestyle.
