Abstract

This research investigates the psychosocial dynamics within the My day Indonesia fan community of Day6 triggered by widespread dissatisfaction with the "Day6 Forever Young 2025" concert promoter, a phenomenon feared to undermine internal cohesion. The study aims to examine the correlations among Social Identity, Individual Involvement, and Sense of Community in this challenging situation. Using a quantitative approach, the study surveyed 100 respondents selected via probability sampling (Slovin’s formula, 10% error margin) from a population of 8,469 participants in the Jakarta concert. Parametric statistical testing revealed that both independent variables were significantly positively associated with the dependent variable. Specifically, Social Identity showed a strong correlation with Sense of Community (r = 0.725; p < 0.05), whereas Individual Involvement showed a moderate correlation (r = 0.515; p < 0.05). The simultaneous analysis further confirmed a significant collective relationship (r = 0.730; p < 0.05). These findings emphasize that in times of crisis, a strong sense of identity and active individual engagement are pivotal in preserving the bond and togetherness of the My Day Indonesia community.

Abstract

Drug abuse, psychotropic drugs, and addictive substances are among the causes of the increasing number of inmates in Indonesia. The conditional release program at the Banceuy Class IIA Correctional Institution requires psychological support, such as emotional regulation skills, social support, and self-efficacy. This study aims to describe how inmates with a history of substance abuse regulate their emotions and obtain social support, as well as analyze the influence of these two factors on their level of self-efficacy. This study uses a quantitative method with a multiple linear regression design. Data were collected on December 2, 2025, from 50 inmates using the emotion regulation, social support, and self-efficacy scales. The results of the analysis show that emotion regulation and social support together have a significant effect on self-efficacy (F = 15.102; p < .001), accounting for 39.1% of the variance (R Square = 0.391). Individually, emotional regulation had a negative and significant effect on self-efficacy (B = –0.468, t = –3.374, p = .001), while social support had a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy (B = 0.767, t = 5.454, p < .001). These findings indicate that inappropriate regulation can reduce the self-efficacy of inmates, while strong social support actually increases their self-efficacy in undergoing the parole program.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a problem related to self-control behavior among correctional inmates. Self-control is an important psychological construct in rehabilitation because it reflects an individual's ability to regulate impulses, respond to social pressures, and make sound behavioral decisions. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of peer pressure and perceived benefits on self-control among inmates with a history of drug abuse. The study subjects consisted of 50 inmates. Data were collected using peer, perceived benefit, and self-control scales. Data analysis was performed using a discriminant analysis, yielding a discriminant function with a coefficient of 0.037, indicating that peer pressure and perceived benefits contribute 3.7% to self-control. The F test showed that the two independent variables did not have a significant effect on self-control (p > 0.05), peer pressure (p = 0.197), and perceived benefit (p = 0.912). These findings indicate that variations in self-control among correctional facility residents are more strongly influenced by factors other than peer pressure and perceived benefits, thereby necessitating a review of additional psychological and contextual variables in further research.

Abstract

This study investigates the association between work–family conflict, role overload, and burnout among working mothers employed in private-sector organizations in Bandung Regency. A quantitative correlational design was implemented, involving 100 respondents selected via probability sampling using the Slovin formula. Data were collected using an online questionnaire that incorporated established instruments adapted to the research context, including measures of work–family conflict, role overload, and burnout. Statistical analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics after the data met the required analytical assumptions. The results indicate that work–family conflict shows a very strong relationship with burnout, reflected by a correlation coefficient of r = 0.932 (p < 0.001). Role overload also demonstrates a strong association with burnout, with a correlation value of r = 0.855 (p < 0.001). Furthermore, when examined simultaneously, both variables contribute significantly to burnout, as evidenced by an F value of 338.507 (p < 0.001) and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.875. This finding suggests that 87.5% of the variance in burnout among working mothers can be explained by the combined influence of work–family conflict and role overload. Overall, the findings highlight that competing role demands and excessive workload pressures substantially increase vulnerability to burnout. These results underscore the importance of organizational strategies that emphasize workload balance, role clarity, and supportive work policies to mitigate burnout risks among working mothers.

Abstract

The technical and engineering sectors have long been constructed as male-dominated environments that reinforce specific hegemonic masculinity norms. While these norms prioritize resilience and logic, they often create significant barriers to mental health help-seeking and emotional expression. This study aims to explore the construction of masculinity among technical employees and how these gendered expectations influence their mental well-being and coping strategies. Using a qualitative approach, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) were conducted with three employee groups. Data were analyzed using inductive thematic analysis. Four major themes emerged: first, Physical and mental resilience as an ideal standard; second, the logic-emotion dichotomy and the "baper" (oversensitive) stigma; third, Kinship and collectivity as survival mechanisms under work pressure; and, lastly, navigating vulnerability through self-reliant coping strategies. Adherence to traditional masculinity, characterized by emotional restriction and self-reliance, functions as a double-edged sword; it fosters team solidarity but simultaneously facilitates normative male alexithymia, hindering professional help-seeking. These findings underscore the urgency for male-friendly mental health interventions in industrial workplaces to deconstruct the stigma of vulnerability

Abstract

Heavy workloads have been reported to cause high levels of stress among teachers in special-needs schools (SLBs) in Indonesia. Resilience enables teachers to adapt to work pressures, regulate their emotions positively, overcome difficulties, and maintain professionalism in accordance with established norms and environments as they carry out their roles as educators. This study aims to examine the effects of job satisfaction and sense of calling on teaching resilience among teachers at the Cileunyi public special-needs school (SLBN). This study uses a quantitative, sampling-based method. The research sample consisted of 55 special education teachers selected through purposive sampling, with the inclusion criterion of at least 1 year of teaching experience. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that job satisfaction and sense of calling simultaneously affect teachers' teaching resilience (F = 0.000; p < 0.05), explaining 52.4% of the variance (R² = 0.524). Partially, job satisfaction did not significantly affect teachers' resilience (B = 0.124; t = 0.693; p = 0.491), whereas sense of calling had a positive effect on the resilience of special education teachers (B = 0.692; t = 4.539; p = 0.000). This shows that the meaning of calling in the teaching profession is important for building resilience in teaching. This study fulfills the research objectives but could be further developed. This shows that the meaning of calling in the teaching profession is important for building resilience in teaching. This study meets its research objectives but could be expanded to examine additional factors that may influence teachers' resilience in teaching.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of cognitive potential, measured via the Wonderlic Personnel Test (WPT), on the first-semester Grade Point Average (GPA) of KIP-Kuliah scholarship recipients (Class of 2025) at Universitas Indonesia Membangun (INABA). Using a saturated sampling technique, 94 participants were involved, predominantly female, aged 19, from the Communication Science program, with average IQ scores categorized as "Low Average" (80-90). Data were analyzed using simple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests including normality, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation. The findings reveal a significant influence of cognitive potential on GPA (p < .05). Notably, the coefficient of determination (R² = .983) indicated that cognitive potential accounts for 98.3% of the variance in academic performance, with only 1.7% attributable to external factors. However, the regression coefficient (B = -2.185) indicated a significant negative direction, suggesting that higher cognitive scores within this specific group did not correspond to higher academic achievement during the first-semester transition. This phenomenon highlights a critical gap in academic adaptation, wherein students with "Low Average" cognitive profiles may struggle with the heightened analytical demands of higher education in the absence of adequate self-regulated learning strategies. These results underscore the need for institutional interventions, such as specialized academic mentoring, to support scholarship recipients in maintaining their academic eligibility.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationships between self-stigma, perceived social negativity, and the intention to seek professional psychological help among emerging adults in Bandung City. A total of 100 participants were selected using a non-probability purposive sampling technique, with the sample size determined using the Slovin formula (10% margin of error). Data were collected using standardized questionnaires measuring self-stigma, perceived social negativity, and help-seeking intention, aafter all statistical assumptions had been met. The findings indicate that self-stigma and perceived social negativity are significantly associated with the intention to seek professional psychological help among emerging adults in Bandung. Perceived social negativity showed a stronger relationship with help-seeking intention than self-stigma. Together, both variables substantially contributed to explaining variations in help-seeking intention. Because the help-seeking intention scale was reverse-scored, higher scores indicated a lower intention to seek professional psychological help. These findings suggest that both psychological and social factors play an important role in shaping emerging adults intention to seek professional psychological help. Therefore, the study highlights the importance of stigma reduction and mental health literacy initiatives to encourage greater willingness to seek professional help

Abstract

Senior high school students, specifically those in the final year of high school cramming for National Selection Based on Achievement and Academic Aptitude Test, sometimes suffer from academic stress as a result of the heavy intellectual burden they are required to carry. This study aims “to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and adversity quotient on academic stress among 12th-grade students at High School X in Bandung.” The researchers in this study used a multiple correlation design and a quantitative technique. From a total of 360 pupils, 78 were chosen utilizing a purposive sampling method. The researchers used a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure Self-efficacy, Adversity Quotient, and academic stress. Data analysis was performed using classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, Pearson Product-Moment correlation tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that “self-efficacy had a negative and significant effect on academic stress.” This means that the higher students’ self-efficacy, the lower the level of academic stress they experience. Meanwhile, “Adversity Quotient did not show a significant effect on academic stress when analyzed individually.” However, “Self-efficacy and Adversity Quotient together had a significant effect on academic stress”, contributing 30.4%, while other variables that were not considered in this study accounted for the rest. According to these results, self-efficacy is more important than the adversity quotient for lowering academic stress. Therefore, building students’ self-confidence and psychological resilience should be a priority in efforts to reduce academic stress in the school environment.
