Abstract

The “YDK-01” well has alkaline Formation Water with a pH value of 8,3. Therefore, Scale can form in the productive zone so that over time, Scale will continue to settle and be difficult to solved. From several Acidizing methods, Matrix Acidizing is the most recommended because in the wells examined there are indications of a positive Skin value (Formation Damage). Matrix Acidizing is a Reservoir stimulation method used to overcome Formation Damage in the wells caused by Scale. In this Final Project, it is done using manual calculations using (Stiff & Davis), (Skillman, McDonald & Stiff) and Inflow Performance Relationship Wiggins equations, which aims to evaluate the problem of Scale. Changes in well production rates can be seen from a comparison of several parameters before and after Acidizing such as: Inflow Performance Relationship curve, Permeability value, Productivity Index value, and Skin. In the “YDK-01” well, there was an increase in the Qomax value of 47.16 bopd. The Productivity Index value of oil which was previously 0.129 bopd/psia, has changed to 0.198 bopd/psia. Permeability value has increased by 12 md and Skin value has decreased by 28.54. Parameters above prove that the Matrix Acidizing method works well in overcome scale on the well

Abstract

This research aimed to provide an overview of the variation in grain size sorting in beach sediment materials in the Manggar area and its surroundings. The research employed a Comparative analysis of rocks. The methodology applied was descriptive analytical, combining primary and secondary data. Primary data was obtained through field observations and direct testing using sieve tests with various sand grain sizes on the research objects. At the same time, secondary data was collected from literature studies sourced from journals related to grain size. This method was applied to obtain a comprehensive overview of the research object and answer the objectives that had been set. The deposits along the beach of the Manggar area were unconsolidated sediments, indicating variations in grain size in the sand fraction. Through this research, researcher aim to support development of student competence in sedimentology.

Abstract

Industri minyak dan gas bumi (migas) merupakan salah satu sektor strategis dalam perekonomian nasional maupun global. Dalam kegiatan produksi migas, khususnya pada fase hilir (downstream), terdapat berbagai aktivitas penting, salah satunya adalah proses pengangkutan dan penyimpanan kondensat. Penelitian ini menganalisis terjadinya losses atau selisih volume pada proses transfer kondensat dari tangki SNO-T-6001B ke tangki SNO-T-6010B di unit Central Plant Processing. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan metode tank Gauging pada tangki pengirim dan dibandingkan dengan volume aktual yang diterima tangki tujuan. Data diperoleh dari periode Februari hingga Oktober 2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata losses selama periode penelitian mencapai 38,39 bbl per kegiatan transfer. Faktor utama penyebab losses adalah perbedaan suhu antara tangki asal dan tangki penerima yang memengaruhi koefisien muai volumetrik kondensat, sehingga terjadi ekspansi atau penyusutan cairan yang berdampak pada perbedaan hasil pengukuran. Perhitungan kerugian finansial menunjukkan nilai rata-rata sebesar Rp.41.840.069. selama periode penelitian. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kendali suhu tangki, kalibrasi alat ukur secara berkala, serta penggunaan koefisien muai kondensat yang lebih representatif diperlukan untuk meminimalkan losses dan meningkatkan keakuratan pengukuran transfer kondensat di fasilitas produksi.

Abstract

Permasalahan umum yang terjadi ketika proses pemboran berlangsung yaitu salah satunya kehilangan filtrat lumpur atau filtration loss. Fitration loss yang besar dapat mengakibatkan pengurangan permeabilitas sehingga dapat memicu berkurangnya tingkat produktivitas pada suatu formasi. Penambahan aditif kedalam lumpur pemboran diperlukan untuk dapat mengurangi terjadinya filtration loss. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penambahan jicama starch terhadap sifat rheology lumpur pemboran berbasis air (Water Based Mud/WBM). Penambahan jicama starch dan starch sintetis sebagai pembanding dilakukan dalam tiga variasi konsentrasi: 6 gram, 8 gram, dan 10 gram, untuk mengetahui dampaknya terhadap parameter filtration loss, mud cake, plastic viscosity, yield point, gel strength, pH. Pengujian dilakukan secara eksperimental di laboratorium dengan membandingkan setiap sampel terhadap lumpur original berdasarkan standar API 13A. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan jicama starch sangat berpengaruh terutama yang paling signifikan ditunjukkan pada penurunan filtration loss, dari 8,3 ml sampai 4,3 ml (jicama starch 10 gram) dan 8,3 ml sampai 3 ml (starch sintetis 10 gram), serta penurunan mud cake yang cukup signifikan, dari 0,32 mm sampai 0,24 mm (jicama starch 10 gram) dan 0,32 mm sampai 0,20 mm (strach sintetis 10 gram) pengaruh penambahan aditif jicama starch dan starch sintetis pada sampel  6 gr, 8 gr, dan 10 gr terhadap rheology lumpur pemboran yang berpengaruh Adalah nilai rheology pada parameter pH.

Abstract

This research discusses the utilization of Sucker Pump Optimization on the “RA” Well in the “RZA” Field to Maintain Well Performance. Sonolog data were used to determine the Static Fluid Level (SFL), Working Fluid Level (WFL), and bottom-hole pressure, while production data were applied in generating the Inflow Performance Relationship (IPR) curve using the two-phase Vogel equation. The analysis results indicate that the well has a maximum flow rate (Qmax) of 386.905 bpd, while the optimum flow rate (Qoptimum) is 308.43 bpd. Evaluation of the SRP performance shows a pump efficiency of 68%, indicating the need for optimization. Several optimization scenarios were developed by adjusting the strokes per minute (SPM) and stroke length (SL). Among the evaluated scenarios, the best option is Scenario 1, which maintains the pump operation at 9 SPM, resulting in a pump displacement of 308.43 bpd, closely matching the Qoptimum. This scenario is considered the most effective for sustaining stable production without causing excessive reservoir depletion.

Abstract

This research aims to design a squeeze squeeze cementing job for well “RF-L” in field “D” using the balance plug method to isolate the MFS-8 formation layer, which has shown a decline in productivity and an increase in water production. The research method using the balance plug technique . The calculations were based on casing, tubing, perforation, and reservoir pressure data. The results indicate that the squeeze cementing operation requires 46 sacks of Class G cement with a total slurry  volume of 9.402 bbl and 5.5 bbl of mixing water. The volume of spacer ahead was 12.81 bbl and spacer behind was 1.09 bbl, while the displacement fluid volume was 4.5 bbl (after subtracting 1 bbl of underdisplacement). Reverse circulation of 5.2 bbl was performed to clean residual slurry  from the tubing. Hesitation and Waiting on Cement (WOC) were applied to ensure the cement hardened properly in the target zone without damaging the formation

Abstract

Effective porosity (PHIE) is a critical petrophysical parameter in reservoir evaluation, yet its conventional determination through core analysis is constrained by high costs and limited data coverage, particularly in heterogeneous reservoirs with nonlinear log relationships. This study analyzes the performance of three machine learning algorithms, namely K-Nearest Neighbor (K-NN), Random Forest (RF), and Gradient Boosting (GB), in predicting PHIE from well logging data (Gamma Ray, Bulk Density, Neutron Porosity, Sonic Transit Time) using Orange Data Mining, with a 75% training and 25% testing split validated through Stratified 10-Fold Cross Validation. Results show Gradient Boosting achieved the best performance (R² = 0.828; RMSE = 0.012; MAE = 0.008), followed by Random Forest (R² = 0.812) and K-NN (R² = 0.754). The sequential boosting mechanism proved more adaptive in capturing nonlinear relationships between log parameters and effective porosity, offering an efficient tool for formation evaluation with reduced reliance on core data.

Abstract

Sumur “EC-6” lapangan Sumatera Selatan merupakan sumur yang telah dipasang sistem produksi gas lift tipe kontinyu sebelumnya. Namun dalam upaya meningkatkan volume produksi, maka rencana untuk mendesain ulang lift buatan yang dipasang sedang dipertimbangkan. Metode yang dipilih adalah gas lift tipe kontinyu. Penelitian ini dalam upaya redesain manual selain materi edukasi redesain manual untuk gas lift tipe kontinyu. Lift gas yang dipasang sebelumnya di sumur “EC-6” memiliki laju produksi sebesar 1020 BFPD dengan laju maksimum sebesar 3022 BFPD. Berdasarkan rencana redesain continuous gas lift, nilai PI ditetapkan sebesar 2,79 BPD/psi dan berdasarkan perhitungan IPR ditetapkan nilai maksimum sebesar 2178 BFPD. Berdasarkan rencana redesain sumur “EC-6”, jumlah katup yang dibutuhkan adalah 10 katup dengan kedalaman titik injeksi 1570 ft dan jumlah gas injeksi yang dibutuhkan setiap hari adalah 15168.74 scf/d. Menurut evaluasi target tingkat produksi 1500, produksi telah meningkat sebesar 47%.

Abstract

Analisa beban torsi dilakukan untuk meminimalisir terjadinya permasalahan-permasalahan seperti penelitian ini yang akan melakukan analisa perbandingan beban torsi dan pengaruh side force pada pemboran sumur berarah tipe J dan tipe S. Adapun hasil dari analisa, didapatkan bahwa beban torsi akan mengalami percepatan kenaikan yang signifikan pada interval kick off point dan drop off point yang mana pada bagian ini tepat merupakan busur kelengkungan dan beban torsi akan cenderung bernilai stabil yang mana hal ini terjadi pada bagian tangent section yang bukan merupakan busur kelengkungan. Dari hasil simulasi software didapati nilai beban torsi pada sumur berarah tipe J sebesar 22.62 kft.lbf dan untuk sumur berarah tipe S sebesar 31.74 kft.lbf. side force akan tinggi disebabkan karena adanya busur kelengkungan dengan nilai dogleg Severity (DLS) yang cenderung tinggi hal ini disebabkan karena keadaan formasi, jenis BHA, mata bor, dan drilling parameter. Kemudia side force yang terlihat konstan karena nilai dogleg severity (DLS) dipertahankan namun terlihat zig- zag karena adanya efek tortuosity.
