Abstract

The increasing demand for maritime logistics services requires freight forwarding companies to initiate new ways to operate more efficiently. Business challenges will continue to grow, so companies must balance the quality of logistics services desired by consumers with maritime risks that could disrupt the company's operational performance. This study analyzes the resilience of a freight forwarding company's maritime supply chain. A three-phase Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach was implemented to develop maritime risk mitigation strategies. The Macroergonomic Analysis of Structure (MAS) perspective involves three elements of the socio-technical system: the technology subsystem, personnel, and external environment. A more optimal work system structure design is hoped to be produced. Integrating the QFD approach based on the MAS perspective resulted in designing maritime supply chain resilience strategies across three subsystem categories. Some of the strategies obtained for each subsystem are as follows: the strategy for the technology subsystem is to implement IT security measures against the potential risk of hacker attacks. The strategy for the personnel subsystem for the top three potential risks is to schedule maintenance for irregular crane maintenance, conduct training for the potential risk of unskilled warehouse operators, and schedule maintenance for the potential risk of irregular truck maintenance. The strategies for the external environment subsystem for the top three potential risks are: designating a maintenance point of contact (PIC) and spare parts for potential crane machine damage, conducting proper maintenance for potential truck machine damage, and obtaining insurance for potential unpredictable road accidents.

Abstract

This study analyzes the physiological and mental workload of students in a simulated work environment at the Ergonomics Laboratory using the Macroergonomics Analysis of Structure (MAS) approach. The simulation exposed 21 participants to a combination of grinding machine noise (90 dB) and low lighting (10 Lux) for 40 minutes. The results indicate that the simulated work environment significantly increased physiological workload, evidenced by an increase in pulse rate where 38% of participants exhibited a %CVL above 15% (category "Improvement Required") and two participants even reached the "Heavy" category (>30%). Mentally, 85.7% of participants reported a high to very high workload based on NASA-TLX measurements. MAS analysis identified systemic s between the technological, physical environment, and personnel subsystems as the root cause of the problem. This study recommends improvements, including environmental modifications, task design adjustments, and the implementation of integrated OSH policies to create an ergonomic, healthy, and sustainable work system.

Abstract

PT. ABC, as a contractor engaged in renovation work, faces several operational constraints. This study focuses on determining the priority sequence of renovation project risks using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach. Data collection was conducted through interviews and distributed pairwise comparison questionnaires to experts. From the identification process, ten types of risks deemed critical were recorded. Based on AHP processing, the top three risks requiring attention are Inaccurate Budget Planning (33.12%), Surge in Material Prices (16.94%), and Errors in Material Specifications (14.42%). The Consistency Ratio (CR) value of 0.040 indicates that the assessments provided are consistent. The implication of this study emphasizes financial and technical-material aspects as the most urgent areas requiring immediate attention. The proposed recommendations include improving the cost estimation system and strengthening material supply governance. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference in formulating mitigation strategies and resource allocation more effectively.

Abstract

Transportasi ikan bandeng dari pemasok di Desa Sungonlegowo, Gresik, Jawa Timur, merupakan elemen kunci dalam rantai pasok yang berdampak langsung pada hilirisasi produk. Namun, sektor ini dihadapkan pada berbagai risiko yang dapat mengganggu kelancaran proses transportasi, termasuk kecelakaan kendaraan, kerusakan ikan, dan keterlambatan distribusi. Kecelakaan kendaraan menjadi risiko utama yang tidak hanya merugikan secara ekonomi tetapi juga berpotensi menurunkan kualitas produk, yang pada gilirannya mengancam kepuasan pelanggan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis risiko dalam transportasi ikan bandeng dari Desa Sungonlegowo, serta mengembangkan strategi mitigasi yang berkelanjutan untuk mendukung hilirisasi. Dengan menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), sepuluh risiko utama diidentifikasi berdasarkan nilai severity, occurrence, dan detection dari delapan responden. Lima tindakan mitigasi yang dipilih, berdasarkan skor risiko tertinggi, mencakup optimalisasi rute pengiriman, penggunaan kendaraan ramah lingkungan, pemeliharaan berkala, pelatihan keselamatan, dan penerapan teknologi pelacak untuk manajemen transportasi yang berkelanjutan. Melalui penerapan House of Risk 2 (HoR), penelitian ini mengevaluasi efektivitas dan daya implementasi dari tindakan mitigasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pemeliharaan berkala dan optimalisasi rute berpotensi besar dalam mengurangi risiko yang mengganggu hilirisasi, sehingga meningkatkan kelancaran transportasi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan wawasan bagi pelaku industri dalam mengoptimalkan rantai pasok ikan bandeng secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the work system in the PT. Mulia Multi Medika warehouse using an integrative approach of Macroergonomic Analysis and Design (MEAD) and Macroergonomic Analysis of Structure (MAS). The method stages include: (1) identification of the environment and organizational structure; (2) definition of the work system through SWOT analysis; (3) setting performance expectations and mapping subsystems; (4) ergonomic risk assessment using the Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assessment (WERA) and Job Strain Index (JSI); and (5) analysis of the work environment in the form of temperature and noise. In addition, interviews with managers and workers were conducted to capture subjective perceptions of workload and system effectiveness. The results show that worker 1 has a WERA score of 41 (moderate risk) and a JSI of 18 (high), while worker 2 has a WERA score of 35 (moderate) and a JSI of 6.75 (low). The temperature of 18–22°C and noise of 68–72 dB are still within safe limits. The MEAD–MAS analysis revealed role imbalances and technological limitations. Recommendations for improvement include the use of material handling aids, role redistribution, and continuous evaluation to reduce ergonomic risks while increasing productivity.

Abstract

Olahan ikan asin adalah makanan khas Indonesia dengan cara mengawetkan ikan dengan penaburan garam, selain menjadikan ikan lebih tahan lama ikan asin juga memiliki cita rasanya tersendiri. Pengolahan ikan asin juga memiliki berbagai macam faktor, mulai dari cuaca, metode pengolahan, dan material yang digunakan. Penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan Metode Taguchi untuk mengoptimalkan pengolahan ikan asin menjadi maksimal. Didapatkan hasil setelah melakukan perbaikan kualitas menggunakan Metode Taguchi pembuautan ikan asin teri jengki mengalami penurunan cacat/rusak pada ikan asin yang awalnya ± 10% atau ± 3 kg kerusakan dari ±30 kg %, menurun menjadi ±2,63% atau 7,8 ons dari ± 30kg%.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal Disorders is one of the injuries that workers often experience in material handling activities, namely injuries to muscles, nerves, bones, joints caused by work activities. PT. AFS as a company that focuses on catering services to serve the "airlines catering" and for the needs of companies in Makassar. A warehouse as a place to store raw materials that will continue to operate on a daily basis. In addition to the fact that the production process will continue to be connected to the warehouse, also because the raw materials that continue to come in will cause operators to continue working to organize raw materials as production supplies. An aid used to move raw materials is a hand stacker that can only be operated by one person. The use of this aid makes the operator who must be assisted by other operators to pull the hand stacker. Based on the Nordic Body Maps questionnaire, the highest pain complaints were in the lower neck, left shoulder and right shoulder. This condition is dangerous for the operator as shown by the results of RULA (score 7) with a level of category 4 (this condition is dangerous and necessary to make changes immediately).

Abstract

Bisnis restoran makanan atau kuliner sangat bergantung pada pelayanan pelanggan agar usaha yang dijalankan mendapatkan simpati dan kesetiaan pelanggan. Metode Service Quality adalah salah satu alat ukur untuk mengetahui kinerja pelayanan yang telah diberikan oleh pegawai terhadap pelanggan, sehingga pemilik usaha mampu mengevaluasi dengan tepat komponen pelayanan yang mana harus diperbaiki. Dimensi dalam Service Quality adalah tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, dan empathy, dari kelima dimensi tersebut kita mampu mengetahui kinerja dari pelayanan yang mana harus diperbaiki. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada restoran AKS yang dimana restoran ini mengalami penurunan pesanan perhari dikarenakan semenjak selesai pandemi Covid-19 berganti pengelolahan dan mengakibatkan pelayanan yang diberikan kurang maksimal. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komponen pelayanan yang harus diperbaiki pada restoran AKS. Hasil olah data menunjukkan ada 6 atribut yang mendapatkan nilai negatif yaitu pada atribut X1, X2, X4, X10, X13, dan X15 sehingga restoran AKS perlu melakukan evaluasi atau perbaikan kualitas pelayanan. Sehingga restoran AKS mampu mendapatkan hasil penjualan yang optimal dan mampu ikut serta untuk mendapatkan persaingan dalam bisnis restoran makanan yang semakin ketat.
