Abstract

Stroke merupakan masalah kesehatan global di dunia karena merupakan penyebab utama kecacatan pada orang dewasa. Stroke adalah penyakit atau ganguan fungsional otak berupa kelumpuhan saraf yang diakibatkan oleh gangguan aliran darah pada salah satu bagian otak. Stroke secara global menduduki peringkat ketiga angka kematian setelah penyakit jantung koroner (13%) dan kanker (12%) di negara maju. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Literature Review dengan desain Narrative Review untuk mengidentifikasi dan merangkum artikel yang telah diterbitkan sebelumnya mengenai gambaran kadar gula darah sewaktu dan asam urat pada penderita stroke hemoragik dan stroke iskemik. Dari hasil didapatkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara peningkatan kadar gula darah dan asam urat pada penderita stroke hemoragik dan stroke iskemik, tingginya kadar gula darah dalam tubuh secara patologis berperan dalam peningkatan konsentrasi glikoprotein, yang merupakan faktor risiko dari penyakit cerebrovaskuler sedangkan hubungan hiperurisemia dengan hipertensi, akan menyebabkan gangguan mikrovaskuler dengan hasil berupa iskemi jaringan yang akan meningkatkan sintesis asam urat melalui degradasi ATP menjadi adenin dan xantin.

Abstract

Uric acid is the result of metabolism produced by the body, but the rest of the metabolism of protein foods containing purines can also produce uric acid. Hyperuricemia is a condition where there is an increase in uric acid levels. The normal concentration of uric acid is 7.0 mg/dL for men and 6.0 mg/dL for women. Hyperuricemia occurs due to the high consumption of foods containing purines, lowering it can be done by reducing the production or increasing the excretion of uric acid. Mango skin contains flavonoid components and mangiferin antioxidants which are good for the body as a protector against certain diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving mango arumanis peel extract (Magnifera indica L.) on uric acid levels in male white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This type of research is true experimental pre-post test group design, using a group of 20 experimental animals with 10 animals each/group induced by chicken liver juice and potassium oxonate and 10 control groups given a placebo. The control group was given a placebo Na CMC 2 g/dl and the treatment group was given mango arumanis peel extract 83 mg/dl with a total intervention of 14 days. The results showed uric acid levels in the blood of rats (on the 8th day of administration of mango arumanis peel extract was 9.46 mg/dl and on the 15th day it was 1.89 mg/dl. There was a significant difference in uric acid levels, namely the group The control group is 3.5 mg/dl and the treatment group is 1.8 mg/dl. So, there is an effect of Arumanis mango peel extract in lowering blood uric acid levels in male rats.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the lipid profile levels and severity in ischemic stroke sufferers at Ibnu Sina Hospital Makassar in 2021-2023. The method used in this research is descriptive with a cross sectional study design. The results of this study found that the majority were female with 98 patients (58%) from the total population. The majority had high total cholesterol levels with 106 patients (63%) of the total population. The majority of triglyceride levels were normal with 159 patients (95%) of the total population. The majority of High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) levels were normal with 125 patients (74%) of the total population. The majority of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) levels were normal with 121 patients (72%) of the total population. Patients were measured using the National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), the majority of patients experienced moderate stroke with a total of 103 patients (61%) at Ibnu Sina Hospital Makassar during 2021-2023.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Fat, especially cholesterol, plays an important role in the human body, including as a base for steroid hormones. However, high cholesterol levels can trigger atherosclerosis and various cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, heart attack and stroke. Dyslipidemia, as a disorder of lipid metabolism, is a major risk factor for coronary heart disease, which has a high prevalence rate in Indonesia. Based on WHO data, cardiovascular disease causes 17.9 million deaths and is expected to increase to 23.3 million by 2030. Tin leaves (Ficus carica Linn) contain various active compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, and tannins that have potential as antioxidants. Studies show that tin leaf water extract has a good IC50 value and is able to reduce total cholesterol levels in mice. To determine the effect of antioxidant compounds contained in tin leaf extract (Ficus carica) on total cholesterol levels in mice (Musmusculus) with a fat diet, and to determine the effect of antioxidant compounds contained in tin leaf extract (Ficus carica) on triglyceride levels in mice (Musmusculus) with a fat diet. The type of research used in this study is true experimental type. There is a decrease in total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in mice (Mus Musculus) with a high-fat diet after being given tin leaf extract. Giving tin leaf extract (Ficus Carica L.) at a dose of 1.3 mg/0.5 ml effectively reduces total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in mice. Tin leaf extract (Ficus carica L.) effectively reduces total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in mice with a high-fat diet, so it has potential as a natural therapy for dyslipidemia. Keywords: Tin Leaf Extract, Total Cholesterol Level, Triglyceride Level, Mice, Fat Diet.  ABSTRAK Lemak, khususnya kolesterol, berperan penting dalam tubuh manusia, termasuk sebagai bahan dasar hormon steroid. Namun, kadar kolesterol yang tinggi dapat memicu aterosklerosis dan berbagai penyakit kardiovaskular seperti hipertensi, serangan jantung, dan stroke. Dislipidemia, sebagai gangguan metabolisme lipid, menjadi faktor risiko utama penyakit jantung koroner, yang memiliki angka prevalensi tinggi di Indonesia. Berdasarkan data WHO, penyakit kardiovaskular menyebabkan 17,9 juta kematian dan diperkirakan meningkat menjadi 23,3 juta pada tahun 2030.Daun tin (Ficus carica Linn) mengandung berbagai senyawa aktif seperti flavonoid, alkaloid, dan tannin yang memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan. Studi menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak air daun tin memiliki nilai IC50 yang baik dan mampu menurunkan kadar kolesterol total pada mencit. untuk mengetahui efek pemberian senyawa antioksidan yang terkandung dalam ekstrak daun tin (Ficus carica) terhadap kadar kolesterol total pada mencit (Musmusculus) dengan diet lemak, serta untuk mengetahui  efek pemberian senyawa antioksidan yang  tekandung dalam ekstrak daun tin (Ficus carica) terhadap kadar trigliserida pada mencit (Musmusculus) dengan diet lemak. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian eksperimental murni (true experimental). Adanya penurunan kadar kolesterol total dan trigliserida pada mencit (Mus Musculus) dengan diet tinggi lemak setelah diberi ekstrak daun tin. Pemberian ekstrak daun tin (Ficus Carica L.) dengan dosis 1,3 mg/0,5 ml efektif menurunkan kadar kolesterol total dan trigliserida pada mencit. Ekstrak daun tin (Ficus carica L.) efektif menurunkan kadar kolesterol total dan trigliserida pada mencit dengan diet tinggi lemak, sehingga berpotensi sebagai terapi alami dislipidemia. Kata Kunci: Ekstrak Daun Tin, Kadar Kolesterol Total, Kadar Trigliserida, Mencit, Diet Lemak.
