Abstract

Perundungan menjadi salah satu perhatian saat ini mengingat hal ini memiliki dampak yang fatal untuk perkembangan anak usia sekolah dasar. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi seseorang melakukan perundungan dan salah satunya karena pelaku menganggap tindakan mereka bukan tindakan bullying. Permasalahan yang ada di SDN 228 Pembasean adalah kurangnya perhatian dan pengetahuan siswa tentang tindakan bullying. Untuk mengatasai hal ini maka dilaksanakan sosialisasi Anti-Bullying yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada siswa-siswi SDN 228 Pembasean tentang tindakan bullying. Sosialisai ini dilaksanakan pada 3 tahap antara lain : (1) tahap persiapan dengan perencanaan kegiatan, persiapan materi dan penyusunan jadwal kegiatan. (2) tahap pelaksanaan dengan melakukan sosialisasi (3) tahap evaluasi dengan melihat kekurangan dan hasil capaian setelah sosialisasi. Sosialisi dilaksanakan di kelas 4 (empat) SDN 228 Pembasean kepada 24 siswa. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan siswa mampu memahami materi yang disajikan pada sosialisasi anti-bullying yang dilaksanakan di SDN 228 Pembasean yang terkait verbal bullying, physical bullying, social bullying, cyber bullying, sexual bullying dan cara menghadapi bullying. Diantara keenam komponen, siswa paling baik memahami tentang cara menghadapi bullying. Sebagai rekomendasi pengajaran dan sosialisasi anti-bullying sebaiknya dilakukan pada PKM selanjutnya pada anak usia dini dan masyarakat. Selain itu untuk membekali siswa pengetahuan tentang bullying tentunya memerlukan perhatian dan dukungan dari berbagai pihak yang berinteraksi dengan siswa antara lain guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Mitra pada PKM ini adalah Kelompok Petani Kopi di Desa Limbong Kecamatan Rongkong Kabupaten Luwu Utara yang terdiri dari 10 petani. Urgensi dari pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini terkait permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra saat ini secara umum, ada 5 fokus permasalahan yaitu (1) rendahnya kualitas biji kopi petani, (2) rendahnya harga jual biji kopi kering di tingkat petani, (3) proses pengeringan, pemanggangan, dan pengemasan masih sederhana, (4) sistem penjualan masih konvensional dan mengandalkan pengepul, dan (5) kurangnya pengetahuan petani dalam memanfaatkan teknologi tepat guna dalam proses pengolahan kopi Rongkong. Tujuan PKM Kopi Rongkong adalah kualitas dan kuantitas biji kopi yang dihasilkan petani, adanya produk unggulan Kopi Rongkong bernilai profit, peningkatan omset petani, peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam memanfaatkan teknologi tepat guna dalam proses produksi, pengemasan, dan pemasaran. Alternatif solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu (1) Edukasi Potensi Olahan Kopi Rongkong menjadi produk Unggulan bernilai Profit, (2) Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Pengemasan Produk Higienis, (3) Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Pemanfaatan Digital Marketing, dan (4) Pemanfaatan Teknologi Tepat Guna di bidang produksi, pengemasan dan pemasaran. Target Luaran dari PKM ini adalah (1) Adanya Produk Unggulan berbahan dasar kopi Rongkong seperti Kopi Instan dan Bubuk Kopi, (2) Peningkatan 25% Omset Penjualan produk berbahan dasar kopi Rongkong, dan (3) Peningkatan Pengetahuan petani dalam pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the home visit strategy on the reading comprehension of the fifth grade students at SDN 188 Manunggal. This research is an ex-post facto research type. The population in this research was 16 students and the sample was taken by totaling sampling. The data were collected by questionnaires and  tests. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The results shows that there was an effect of the home visit strategy toward the reading comprehension of the fifth grade students of SDN 188 Manunggal, it is indicated by r-count 0.107 < r-table 0.497 with a significance level of 5% and the number N = 16 with a significance value of 0.693 > 0.05. So  the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted and the hypothesis (H0) is rejected.  The level of closeness between the comprehension test and student responses shows that there is an influence by the point 0.600-0.799 on the strong category. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect between the home visit strategy toward the students' reading comprehension   of  the fifth grade students at SDN 188 Manunggal.

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran perlu ditingkatkan agar pembelajaran lebih menarik dan berpusat pada siswa (student centered) dan tidak lagi berpusat pada guru (teacher centered). Solusi atas masalah tersebut adalah melakukan pelatihan. Adapun tahapan yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah 1) tahap persiapan yang dilakukan melalui kegiatan observasi dan diskusi dengan guru, 2) tahap pelaksanaan yang terdiri dari pembukaan, pemaparan materi, dan pendampingan penggunaan media Games Bamboozole, media Augmented Reality dan Virtual Tour. Adapun hasil respons tertinggi peserta setelah mendapatkan pendampingan adalah bahwa materi pelatihan relevan dengan kebutuhan mengajar. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan yang dilakukan memberikan konstribusi pada guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran. Respons tertinggi kedua adalah bahwa pelatih memiliki pengetahuan yang baik tentang media berbasis teknologi. Adapun tindak lanjut dari kegiatan ini adalah pihak sekolah akan melanjutkan kegiatan ini melalui kegiatan Kelompok Belajar yang ada di sekolah.

Abstract

Flashcards have long been recognized as effective tools for enhancing vocabulary acquisition, particularly among young learners. However, much of the existing research has focused on secondary or higher education, leaving a gap in understanding their impact on primary school students. This study addresses the need for a deeper exploration of flashcards as a teaching tool in elementary English language instruction. Specifically, the research focuses on the development and evaluation of flashcard-based instructional materials designed to improve vocabulary retention, student engagement, and motivation in young learners. The research utilized the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to develop flashcards tailored to young learners, emphasizing visually engaging and interactive materials. The findings demonstrated significant improvements in student engagement and vocabulary retention, with high effectiveness scores and positive feedback from both teachers and students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to evaluate the results from the validity, practicality, and effectiveness tests. The findings reveal that the flashcards significantly enhanced students' vocabulary retention, engagement, and motivation, as demonstrated by high scores in effectiveness tests and positive feedback from both teachers and students. Teachers found the materials practical and easy to implement, while students responded favorably to the visual appeal and interactive nature of the flashcards. The findings highlight flashcards as an effective tool for improving vocabulary acquisition and engagement in primary education, offering a practical strategy for early language development.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' ability to identify simple past tense sentences through the use of interactive multimedia and differentiated instruction in the classroom. The context of English language learning, many students struggle to understand grammar material, particularly in recognizing the correct tense structure in sentences. Therefore, this study focuses on implementing methods that can help students better understand the use of the simple past tense effectively. The study uses a classroom action research method carried out in two cycles. The first cycle began with the use of an interactive video, followed by group discussions and individual assessments. The results showed that despite the implementation of content and process differentiation, most students did not meet the desired target. The second cycle, improvements were made through homogeneous grouping, more frequent pauses in the video, and increased support for students with lower competencies. The results of the second cycle showed a clear improvement in students' abilities, with 53% of students achieving the "Excellent" category and 42% in the "Good" category. These findings indicate that the application of appropriate differentiation strategies, structured multimedia use, and additional support for students with lower competencies can enhance students' learning outcomes in identifying simple past tense sentences. This study also emphasizes the importance of continuous reflection in teaching to improve English learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman bacaan siswa kelas VII pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris melalui penerapan model pembelajaran SQ3R (Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review). Kemampuan pemahaman bacaan merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, yang seringkali menjadi tantangan bagi siswa SMP, terutama dalam memahami teks yang lebih kompleks. Model SQ3R dipilih karena telah terbukti efektif dalam membantu siswa mengorganisir dan memahami informasi dari teks dengan cara yang sistematis dan terstruktur. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes pemahaman bacaan dan observasi kelas untuk menilai keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kemampuan pemahaman bacaan siswa setelah penerapan model SQ3R. Pada siklus pertama, skor rata-rata pemahaman bacaan siswa meningkat dari Post test 62.27 menjadi 70.09 pada siklusi I, meskipun masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang membutuhkan perhatian lebih. Pada siklus kedua, setelah dilakukan refleksi dan perbaikan strategi pembelajaran, sebagian besar siswa menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih baik dalam memahami teks yang diberikan dengan nilai rata-rata 82.36. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model SQ3R dapat meningkatkan pemahaman bacaan siswa kelas VII dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, serta dapat menjadi alternatif strategi yang efektif untuk diterapkan di kelas.

Abstract

Tujuan dari program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan solusi bagi masyarakat khususnya bagi ibu PKK dalam upaya meningkatkan ketahanan pangan di masa pandemi covid 19 ini dengan mengolah limbah tanaman jagung berupa janggel/tongkolnya menjadi media untuk membudidayakan jamur yang dapat di konsumsi masyarakat. Adapun target dari kegiatan PKM ini adalah masyarakat di kota Palopo tepatnya di kecamatan  Mawa, kelurahan Sendana. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan selama 1 bulan, dimana dalam pelaksanaannya terbagi dalam beberapa tahap yaitu: (1) tahap perencanaan, (2) tahap pelaksanaan dan (3) tahap evaluasi. Adapun manfaat yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini adalah hasil budidaya jamur janggel jagung ini dapat meningkatkan ketahanan pangan masyarakat di situasi sekarang ini.
