Abstract

This community service activity aims to raise parental awareness of their role as the first agents of moral education in children. Conducted through an educational seminar in Plakpak Village, Pegantenan District, Pamekasan Regency, the program implemented a Participatory Action Research (PAR) model to explore and address issues surrounding moral decline among students. The seminar provided insights on parenting approaches, character education, and moral development in children. Results showed a strong interest from parents in understanding moral education and the importance of collaboration between families and educational institutions. Despite limited attendance, the activity succeeded in promoting constructive dialogue and awareness on parenting practices that support character development.

Abstract

Polemic hubungan Negara dan Agama di Indonesia menguat pasca ditetapkannya Keputusan Bersama (SKB) tiga Menteri tentang Penggunaan Pakaian Seragam dan Atribut di Lingkungan Sekolah yang bertujuan "menjaga eksistensi ideologi dan konsensus bernegara, yaitu Pancasila. Terdapat dua asumsi yang menguatkan polemic. Pertama, menguatnya politiasasi agama. kedua, menguatanya peran media sosial sebagai public sphere. Artikel ini mendiskusikan bagaimana media sosial melibatkan orang-orang dalam tindakan komunikatif untuk mewujudkan ranah publik dan demokrasi partisipatoris. Serta bagaimana deviasi interpretasi terjadi ditengah masyarakat? Beberapa temuan peneltian ini dinataranya: pertama, Sejak 1966 SKB (Surat Keputusan Bersama) menjadi alternatif untuk mengatasi permasalahan yang bersifat lintas sectoral. Keberadaan SKB diaharapkan menjadi solusi atas berbagai konflik antar atau intern agama. Kedua. SKB Tiga Menteri menjadi bukti komitmen pemerintah untuk membangun moderasi dan toleransi beragama di dunia Pendidikan. Akan tetapi di dunia modern sulit menafikan peran media sosial dalam membentuk pemahaman public. Beberapa temuan mejadi dasar terjadinya deviasi interpretasi di ranah public khususnya di media sosial. Pertama, di tengah menguatnya politisasi agama di Indonesai, kebijakan SKB rentan digunakan oleh pihak tertentu untuk melegitimasi opini public tentang posisi mayoritas dan minoritas. Kedua, perumusan formulasi SKB selanyaknya menyertakan beberapa kasus, sehingga tidak timbul kecurigaan dari komunitas manyoritas atas keberpihakan pemerintah. Ketiga, dalam perumusan kebijakan utamanya berkenaan dengan dunia Pendidikan yang menjadi hajat orang banyak. Pembangunan opini public menjadi tolak ukur efektifitas sebuah kebijakan.

Abstract

This study explores students' reflective and selective use of Chatgpt in academic essay writing in Islamic-based higher education. Using a qualitative approach of the phenomenological type, this study aims to understand students' experiences and perceptions of the integration of generative artificial intelligence technology in scientific writing practices. The research was conducted at the Islamic Education Study Program of IAI Al-Khairat Pamekasan, with informants purposively selected based on certain criteria: active students who have used Chatgpt at least twice in essay writing, and are willing to be interviewed openly. Data was collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, observation of Chatgpt usage patterns, and document analysis in student essays. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validation using data triangulation and confirmation to informants (member checking). The results showed that students positioned Chatgpt as a cognitive tool in initiating ideas and structuring writing, not as a substitute for academic thinking. Although it facilitates initial drafting, Chatgpt's output is general and less contextualised, especially in integrating Islamic values. Students overcame this by adding references from the Qur'an, hadith, and classical Islamic literature. In terms of ethics, students showed awareness of the potential for plagiarism and tried to maintain academic integrity through processing and re-understanding the AI results. The technology also affected confidence in writing, both positively and negatively. This study emphasises the importance of a balance between the use of technology and strengthening value-based academic literacy in an Islamic educational environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi fenomena bias gender dalam pengembangan dan implementasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dengan pendekatan komunikasi kritis. Dalam praktiknya, AI seringkali direpresentasikan melalui suara dan visual perempuan yang lembut, ramah, dan penurut. Representasi ini bukan hanya mencerminkan konstruksi sosial patriarkis, tetapi juga memperkuat stereotip gender yang mendiskreditkan perempuan sebagai entitas pasif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bias gender muncul mulai dari proses pemilihan data pelatihan, algoritma yang digunakan, hingga keputusan desain oleh pengembang teknologi. Melalui analisis wacana kritis terhadap representasi AI, penelitian ini mengungkap bagaimana kekuasaan simbolik bekerja dan memperkuat ketimpangan gender. Ketika AI digunakan dalam proses rekrutmen, pengenalan wajah, atau distribusi layanan publik, bias yang terkandung dalam sistem dapat berdampak sistemik dan memperparah marginalisasi perempuan, terutama dari kelompok minoritas. Penelitian ini menyerukan pentingnya desain AI yang inklusif, etis, dan berkeadilan gender sebagai langkah menuju teknologi yang mampu mendorong kesetaraan sosial.

Abstract

Gamification and SEL (Social Emotional Learning) have become effective strategies in strengthening children's character through the active role of teachers and continuous school support. This study explores the role of teachers and school support in implementing gamification and SEL as strategies to strengthen student character at the elementary education level in Indonesia. The research was conducted qualitatively by collecting data through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving several teachers and students engaged in innovative learning practices. The study indicates that teacher competencies, including the ability to adapt the curriculum, implement various learning strategies, and establish effective communication, are considered crucial factors in the application of gamification and SEL in classrooms. Teachers who receive practical and continuous training tend to be more confident and successful in managing game-based learning and developing students' social-emotional skills. Moreover, institutional support through clear school policies and active parental involvement has been shown to contribute positively to learning outcomes. This research emphasizes the importance of collaboration between teachers, schools, and the community in creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that not only promotes academic achievement but also shapes resilient and adaptive student character. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference in formulating policies that support educational innovation in Indonesia.
