Abstract

One of learning models alternative in the Curriculum 2013 is Discovery Learning (DL).Fact on the field that a teacher has never developed the DL model. The activity and students'knowledge are low. Discovery Learning model encourage students to be active in the discoveryactivities. The media that can help students in communicating their findings were Powerpointmedia. The purpose of this study is to produce and test the validity, practicality, and effectivenesson DL learning tools assisted TPI. The Research used design research and development (R & D).The results showed that the DL learning tools assisted TPI valid, practical, and effective. The toolswere declared valid with good and best categories. The tools were declared practical by gettingpositive response of students, and teacher gave a good response. The tools were declared effectiveby the student activity on both small and wide scale testing class are in the good and bestcategories. There is the influence of DL activity on knowledge. Classical achievement of small andwide scale testing class reach KKM (2,66). Knowledge improvement of small and wide scaletesting class in the middle category.

Abstract

The diversity of Zingiberaceae plants has many functions for the community, especially for those who live in rural areas. The observations in Jambean showed that not all Zingiberaceae families found there were used optimally for spices, health, and ornamental plants. The objectives of this study were: 1) to determine what Zingiberaceae species found in Jambean, 2) determine the diversity index of the Zingiberaceae family in Jambean, and (3) explain the principle of Zingiberaceae family benefits according to local knowledge of Jambean society. This research was field research. Species and benefit principles data were obtained by observation and interviews and analyzed qualitatively. Diversity index was analyzed by the Shannon-Wiener index. The results were obtained: 1) species of the Zingiberaceae family found in Jambean were temu ireng, kunir, lempuyang, temu putih, laos, and temu mangga; 2) the diversity index of the Zingiberaceae family in Jambean in the medium category (1.40) and 3) the principle of benefit of each of the Zingiberaceae plants by the people of Jambean was used only as medicinal herbs and cooking spices. Keanekaragaman jenis tumbuhan Zingiberaceae memiliki banyak fungsi bagi masyarakat, terutama bagi mereka yang tinggal di daerah pedesaan. Hasil observasi di dusun Jambean menunjukkan tidak semua keluarga Zingiberaceae yang ditemukan di sana dimanfaatkan secara optimal baik untuk rempah-rempah, kesehatan, dan tanaman hias. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) menentukan spesies Zingiberaceae apa saja yang ditemukan di dusun Jambean, 2) menentukan indeks diversitas keluarga Zingiberaceae di dusun Jambean, dan menjelaskan asas manfaat keluarga Zingiberaceae menurut pengetahuan lokal warga Jambean. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lapangan. Data spesies dan asas manfaat diperoleh dengan observasi dan wawancara dan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Indeks diversitas dianalisis dengan indeks Shannon-Wienner. Hasil penelitian didapatkan: 1) spesies dari keluarga Zingiberaceae yang ditemukan di dusun Jambean adalah temu ireng, kunir, lempuyang, temu putih, laos, dan temu mangga; 2) indeks diversitas keluarga Zingiberace di dusun Jambean dalam kategori sedang (1,40); dan 3) asas manfaat masing-masing tanaman Zingiberaceae oleh masyarakat dusun Jambean dimanfaatkan baru sebatas sebagai tanaman obat dan bumbu masak

Abstract

Science learning needs to be packaged in an attractive way so that students are enthusiastic about learning. This study aims to determine the increase in science skills with simple practical methods in class VI MI Al Hikmah Kajen Pati students. This study aims to determine the increase in cognitive learning outcomes and science process skills with simple practical methods in class VI students of MI Al Hikmah Kajen Pati. This study uses quantitative research. Data collection was carried out by conducting a pretest and posttest to students and observations by the observer. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the significance value of the WilcoxonTest Table was 0.000 so <0.05, meaning that Hawas accepted. So there is a difference between the learning outcomes of class VI MI Al-Hikmah Kajen Pati students after using a simple practicum.The results of experimental or research findings on science process skills can be seen from the indicators of identification of tools and materials as well as data on the results of experiments students complete with a percentage of 80%, on the indicator of answering and asking questions students complete with a percentage of 62.5%, on the indicator of conveying the results of discussions in a clear, precise and effective students complete with a percentage of 90%, on the indicator of choosing the appropriate theory (reference) students complete with a percentage of 85%.

Abstract

Problems identified at MI Islamiyah Syafiiyah include limited learning media, especially the use of simple theme books and accompanying books, which causes low cognitive learning outcomes. This research aims to evaluate the use of the Manipulative Fraction Puzzle (Mapupec) educational tool in increasing students' cognitive learning achievement. The research method applied is Classroom Action Research (PTK) by implementing the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggar in two rounds of the cycle. Each cycle involves four stages, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects consisted of 41 class IV students at MI Islamiyah Syafiiyah. Data was collected through test instruments, observation and documentation, with data analysis using a quantitative approach. The findings from the research indicate that the use of the Fraction Puzzle Manipulative educational tool (Mapupec) is able to improve the cognitive learning outcomes of class IV students at MI Islamiyah Syafiiyah. The evaluation value in cycle I showed an increase from 21.95% to 70.73%, while in cycle II, the results increased again to 85.37%. These findings conclude that the use of Fraction Puzzle Manipulative educational tools is not only a learning tool, but also an educational game that can stimulate the brain, hone the speed of thinking, and train coordination between the mind and hands.

Abstract

In the world of education, as an educator, of course you are expected to have instruments that meet standards to measure students abilities. However, in the field there are still many evaluation questions that do not meet these standards. The aim of this research is to analyze Biology evaluation questions for class X Protista material using the Anates program ver. 4.09, to ensure the questions meet the appropriate question quality standards.This research use a quantitative descriptive approach and use documentation techniques in data collection. The questions used were 10 questions in the form of multuple choices. The result of the analysis of items in the measurement of differentiating power contained 1 item in the very poor category, 5 items in the poor category, 2 items in the sufficient category and 1 item in the good category. Analysis of the difficulty level of questions in the difficult category contained 4 questions, 2 questions in the medium category and 4 questions in the easy category. Analysis of the validity of the questions found that 30% were declared valid and 70% were declared invalid. The reliability value of the questions is 0.02, in accordance with the criteria in the range 0.000-0.199. This means that the questions used have very low coefficients. The average question criteria are included in the poor criteria so changes and revisions need to be made for further use of the questions. It is hoped that this research can improve the quality of test questions on protist material.

Abstract

Online learning often makes students feel bored quickly because they are monotonous in front of a laptop screen. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of implementing a project based learning (PJBL) model in the form of a clipping book based on a YouTube channel on student learning outcomes and independence in the plant physiology course. The design of this research is a one-shot case study. The research was conducted in September-December 2021. The research sample consisted of classes A5TBR and B5TBR, totaling 71 students. The research data is in the form of learning outcomes (NIPURA) for the plant physiology course and student independence. The technique of making Youtube videos is assisted by Microsoft Powerpoint 2007 and VLV media player. Learning outcomes were analyzed using one sample t test, while independence data was in the form of a Likert scale which was analyzed descriptively by percentage. The results of this study indicate that t arithmetic > t table (18.458 > 1.994) or Ho is rejected. Thus, the average value of student learning outcomes is not the same as the value of the comparison indicator (KKM=75). Student independence after implementing the PjBL model based on Youtube Channel got 59.09% in the very high category, 38.64% in the high category, and 2.27% in the low category. Indicators of each independence: (1) independence from others (very high), (2) self-confidence (high), (3) discipline (very high), (4) have a sense of responsibility (high), (5) self-initiative (high), and (6) self-control (very high). Aspects of independence that need to be improved from students are the responsibility and confidence of students during lectures.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that has the highest level of biodiversity in the world. However, there are still many plants in Indonesia whose species have not been identified. This causes the need to identify and classify plants. This research aims to identify the diversity and dominance of plant species from the Asteraceae family in Kawak Village, Batealit District, Jepara Regency. This study was carried out on May 28, 2023 and June 1, 2023. The method used was the exploration method by determining sampling locations at 21 points from 3 hamlets in Kawak village. The tools and materials needed for this research include an accurate altimeter version 2.3.2, ziplock plastick, newsprint, cellphone camera, meter and internet access. There are 6 plant species from the Asteraceae family, including Wedelia trilobata, Crassocephalum crepidioides, Elephantopus scaber, Chromolaena odorata, Synedrella nodiflora, and Ageratum conyzoides. The plants obtained were collected using the herbarium method. The dominant plant species from the Asteraceae family in Kawak village is tapak Liman (Elephantopus scaber).

Abstract

Kunir asem is one of the traditional drinks that still survive in Javanese society. The young generation needs to be introduced to the heritage of traditional herbal medicine, so that its existence is maintained. Some people judge that herbal medicine is an ancient traditional drink and does not keep up with the times. The objectives of this study are: (1) Explain the study of etnobotany which make up turmeric acid; (2) Explain how the principle of the benefits of kunir asem is based on the understanding of the seller of herbs in the Province of Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative method. The research data was taken with documentation, interviews, and documentation. The research data were analyzed by qualitative descriptive. The conclusion of this study is that biopharmaca plants in kunir asem are turmeric and tamarind, and some are added spices in the form of brown sugar, lemongrass, cardamom, cloves, kedawung, lime, and cinnamon. Herb sellers reveal that kunir asem can promote haids, facilitate digestion, reduce stomach acid, as an antibiotic, fresh body, and eliminate acne.
