Abstract

The process of selecting scholarship recipients in academic institutions necessitates a meticulous and unbiased approach to ensure the fair distribution of educational resources. This study employs the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to enhance decision-making in the Faculty of Computer Science at the Indonesian Christian University, Maluku. The SAW method provides a structured framework for evaluating scholarship candidates based on multiple criteria, including academic performance, extracurricular activities, and financial need. Through criteria normalization, weight assignment, and score calculation, the SAW method facilitates an objective ranking of candidates, allowing for a transparent and systematic decision-making process. The research aims to improve the efficiency and fairness of scholarship allocation, contributing to the advancement of educational opportunities for deserving individuals within the Faculty of Computer Science

Abstract

In bioinformatics research, computational pattern-analysis techniques are frequently employed to assist in disease prediction and diagnostic modeling, including applications for hepatitis prognosis. Hepatitis is a type of serious disease with various types that have the potential to threaten the life of the sufferer without showing significant symptoms and signs, so many sufferers do not realize that they are affected by the disease. Various methods are used to predict diseases in the hope of providing the best results from the learning model used. The objective of this study is to implement linear regression, random forest, and light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM) to estimate mortality risk among hepatitis patients. In addition, a performance comparison of the results of hepatitis disease prediction using the three algorithms was also carried out to find out which model gave the most accurate and optimal results. The results of this study show that the application of learning models from the linear regression, random forest and Light-GBM algorithms has been successfully carried out to predict the survival status of patients with hepatitis. The findings reveal that random forest achieved the highest predictive performance with an accuracy of 84%, followed by LightGBM at 77% and linear regression at 32%.

Abstract

As a local specialty, 'Sago Bunga' holds significant potential to enhance community welfare. However, improvements are necessary in financial management, packaging quality, and marketing strategies. Therefore, this activity aims to optimize the existing micro-enterprises by enhancing Partners' knowledge and skills in management and marketing. The implementation method of this activity is socialization of financial management literacy and packaging strategies, training in product label design, standing pouch packaging, and the use of e-commerce which is done through the stages of preparation, implementation, evaluation, and program sustainability. This activity was conducted for the 26-member TP-PKK Negeri Oma Group in Central Maluku. The assessment was done through pre-tests and post-tests consisting of 15 questions for the socialization activity, and 5-item checklists for each training activity. The results achieved demonstrated an 85.3% increase in Partners' knowledge of financial management and packaging strategies, a 86% increase in their skills in creating standing pouch designs and packaging, and an 95% improvement in e-commerce management skills.
