Abstract

MSMEs play a pivotal role in the community and sustainability of the Indonesian economy. This study explores and analyzes the developments and survival strategies of MSME actors in the Pacitan Regency. This study employs a qualitative method by taking data from interviews with 15 MSME actors in the Pacitan Regency. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MSME players in Pacitan Regency have experienced decreased sales and a lack of capital. The responses of MSME players in Pacitan Regency are decreasing sales turnover and increasing selling prices. One of the strategies MSME players in Pacitan Regency carry out to deal with COVID-19 is to sell online, reduce trade stock, make selling promos, and collaborate with other MSMEs. It is hoped that with this research, the government can pay attention to the good input these MSME actors give. In addition, MSME players are expected to be consistent with the strategy carried out by following government policies to continue to comply with health protocols in selling.

Abstract

Soybeans are a type of legume that is usually used in Indonesian culture and cuisine, especially as a base for tempe. Tempe is fermented soybeans made traditionally. The manufacturing process includes peeling the soybeans, soaking, steaming and fermenting the soybeans with the fungus Rhizopus oligosporus. Tempe is also a popular food in Indonesia, so many businesses produce tempeh. One of them is the Indonesian Tofu and Tempe Producers Cooperative (KOPTTI Sumber Rejeki) with the Cooperative Chairman Mr. Suyanto, a cooperative that oversees 33 MSMEs that produce tempeh in Kedungcangkring, Sidoarjo. This cooperative, which houses 33 tempe producing UMKM, is experiencing problems ranging from management that is not well organized, limited production capacity, and unhygienic production processes. The aim of the activity is to resolve production process problems, namely low hygiene and production results in washing, and synchronization of soybean epidermis as well as resolving problems in management, namely weak financial management and productivity. The methods applied in this service activity start from finding and determining priority problems, designing soybean machines, carrying out manufacturing processes, implementing washing machines and soybean epidermis separating machines, mentoring and monitoring. The results obtained from this service activity were through the implementation of the soybean processing technology package for tempeh raw materials, namely increasing production capacity when the soybean washing process started from 100kg to 180kg and then when the breaking process started from 80kg to 300kg. Production quality has also increased due to machines made from food grade 304 stainless steel so that the quality and quantity of productivity at partners has increased. The implementation management team provides assistance and training starting from structuring production, structuring workers and structuring finances.

Abstract

Despite Indonesia’s vast waqf potential, asset management remains inefficient due to persistent issues of transparency, accountability, and public trust. This study examines the integration of blockchain technology within waqf management and its legitimacy under Islamic law, analyzed through the lens of maslahah mursalah and Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI) fatwas. Previous studies on blockchain waqf have largely focused on technical feasibility and governance frameworks, yet have not sufficiently addressed its shariah legitimacy through usul fiqh reasoning. Employing a qualitative-descriptive method, the research integrates four analytical stages: (1) textual analysis of Qur’anic and Prophetic principles on transparency and trust (amanah), (2) review of MUI fatwas to identify legal boundaries for digital financial instruments, (3) comparative analysis of blockchain-based waqf models from Malaysia, Turkey, and the UAE, and (4) conceptual synthesis aligning technological transparency with the objectives of maslahah mursalah. Findings suggest that blockchain, when implemented within a shariah-governed framework, fulfills the criteria of public benefit and does not contravene existing fiqh principles, thus qualifying as a legitimate ijtihadi innovation (tathbiq al-maslahah). The study concludes that blockchain-based waqf has the potential to strengthen institutional credibility, enhance transparency, and optimize social welfare distribution. This research contributes to the development of sharia-compliant digital philanthropy frameworks in Indonesia and offers policy insights for the digital transformation of Islamic social finance institutions
