Abstract

Abstract

A good irrigation building should be able to function optimally by considering effectiveness level of water management, if irrigation building maintenance is not carried out routinely and periodically it will have an impact on the main function of irrigation networks. This study aims to obtain data and information, obtain solutions for efforts to repair the damage to the secondary canal in the East Colo Irrigation area in Sukoharjo, and determine the costs incurred for rehabilitation. The methods used in this study were observation, interviews, literature study, and written data collection in the field. The results of the study include the identification of damage to the Secondary Canal Ambi- ambil is classified into three, namely; Minor damage, including cleaning of vegetation around the canal and cracks in the canal. Moderate damage, including painting of sluice gates and replacement of wooden valve plates with steel valve plates. Serious damage, including sedimentation and damage to canals. Efforts to repair or deal with damage to the Secondary Canal Ambil-ambil, namely: Cleaning of vegetation around the Secondary Canal Ambil- ambil, painting of 8 water gates on the Secondary Canal Ambil-ambil, replacing the sluice plate on B.Am 5 Secondary Canal Ambil- ambil, Silting by Sedimentation of Canal Sedimentation on B.Am 4 (1303 m to 2041 m), Handling of heavy damage, Replacement of walls and floors with U-gutter on Secondary Canal Ambil-ambil B.Am 4 (1 m to 764 m). And the budget plan for the repair of the Secondary Canal Ambil- ambil is 1.501.832.684,00

Abstract

Badran Asri Hamlet in Cangakan Village, Karanganyar District, often experiences flooding and inundation, this is due to the drainage channels being classified as poor and starting to experience a decline in the quality of the drainage channels so that they are unable to accommodate runoff water. The aim of this research is to evaluate flood management efforts and the problems that exist in the area. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive, namely by first conducting a survey at the research location and then analyzing the data obtained. After evaluating the 10-year flood discharge of 25 channels in Badran Asri Hamlet, Cangakan Subdistrict, there were 13 channels that did not meet domestic flood discharge capacity and 12 channels that still met domestic flood discharge capacity. As an alternative, improvements need to be made by re-planning by increasing the capacity of the drainage channel in the form of a new channel as a flood management solution so that a channel discharge is obtained that is able to meet the domestic flood discharge capacity.

Abstract

A drainage system is a series of activities designed to drain water from an area or area, including surface water and ground water. Drainage systems are also an important part of urban areas. A well-organized urban area must have a drainage system that functions well, so that it does not cause standing water which can disrupt community activities, especially those related to environmental health. On the Pengging-Banyudono road, Ngaru-ngaru Village, Banyudono District, Boyolali Regency, which is a residential area and sales kiosk, there are still several problems with the drainage system which is not functioning properly and must be addressed immediately. If the rainfall is high enough, it will cause water to pool on the body and shoulders of the road, which can cause water channels to become blocked and disrupt residents' activities. So it is necessary to evaluate drainage channels and handle waterlogging on Jalan Pengging-Banyudono, Boyolali Regency. This research aims to determine the existing drainage system and evaluate the capacity of the drainage channel. From monitoring, there is sedimentation, sedimentation and changes in the cross-sectional dimensions of the channel which trigger blockage of water flow. Meanwhile, the analysis results show that the channel capacity is unable to accommodate the existing flood discharge. In the existing channel, the channel discharge (Qs) is 0.0081m3/second, smaller than the 25 year flood discharge (0.2783 m3/second). This means that the existing channel capacity is not able to accommodate flood discharge. The results of calculating the dimensions of the new channel, obtained the most economical channel dimensions with a channel width of 1.2 m and a channel height of 1.2 m.
