Abstract

Problems related to children's character are still a problem related to the frequent occurrence of deviations in their behavior. In Minangkabau society, there is a slightly different view of the role holder in developing children's character, namely involving the role of Mamak or the mother's brother to share responsibility for the character that grows in children (nephews). The study aims to describe the responsibility for children's character education in the Minangkabau kinship system, and to analyze the dynamics of the responsibility for children's character education in the Minangkabau kinship system and the causes. This study uses a literature review, which is part of a qualitative descriptive method using relevant reading sources. The results of the analysis show that there has been a shift in the responsibility for children's character education from Mamak to parents as a whole, caused by the Mamak's work which results in their own busyness, then the Mamak's busyness with their respective families.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis orientasi karier mahasiswa Universitas Jambi dalam perspektif budaya masyarakat Batak. Fokus utama kajian ini adalah bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya Batak membentuk pandangan, motivasi, serta arah pilihan karier mahasiswa dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi dan tuntutan dunia kerja modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam terhadap sejumlah informan mahasiswa yang memiliki latar belakang budaya Batak. Data dianalisis secara tematik dengan menelusuri pola-pola nilai, motivasi, dan bentuk adaptasi budaya yang muncul dalam orientasi karier mereka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orientasi karier mahasiswa Batak dipengaruhi secara kuat oleh nilai-nilai budaya yang diwariskan secara turun-temurun, terutama konsep hamoraon (kemakmuran), hasangapon (kehormatan), dan hagabeon (keturunan yang baik). Nilai-nilai ini menjadi pendorong utama bagi mahasiswa untuk berprestasi dan meraih kesuksesan, baik secara akademik maupun profesional. Selain itu, sistem nilai dalihan na tolu menjadikan karier bukan semata-mata sarana pencapaian pribadi, tetapi juga bentuk tanggung jawab moral terhadap keluarga dan komunitas. Dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi di Universitas Jambi, mahasiswa Batak menunjukkan kemampuan adaptasi yang tinggi terhadap perubahan sosial dan profesional tanpa kehilangan identitas budayanya. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa budaya Batak tidak menjadi penghambat, melainkan berfungsi sebagai modal budaya (cultural capital) yang memperkaya orientasi karier mahasiswa di era globalisasi. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan teori orientasi karier berbasis budaya dan menjadi dasar bagi perguruan tinggi dalam merancang layanan pengembangan karier yang lebih inklusif dan berakar pada kearifan local.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of integrated education that combines formal education, diniyah (religious) teaching, and entrepreneurship training in Islamic boarding schools to strengthen the national values and economic independence of students. This study uses a Mixed Methods Sequential Exploratory design involving three key informants and forty respondents at Pondok Pesantren Al Muhajirin, Kabupaten Batanghari Jambi. Qualitative data were obtained from interviews, while quantitative data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through Multivariate Analysis of Covariance tests. The results showed that Integrated Education has a significant role in the variables of national values ​​and economic independence of students. This is evidenced by the analysis output obtained on national values ​​with an F value = 17.0 and a p value < .001 and economic independence with an F value = 24.3, and a p value < .001. Post hoc tests found that the integrated education implementation model was significantly superior in increasing economic independence compared to the national values ​​variable. In short, the synergy of these three aspects of integrated education effectively cultivates graduates with strong national character and economic competitiveness. Islamic boarding schools and policymakers are encouraged to adopt a holistic framework that serves as a systematic solution for producing graduates who are religiously committed, nationalistically inclined, and financially competitive.

Abstract

This qualitative case study research aims to analyze the mechanism and effectiveness of the Money Manager Application as a Technology-Enhanced Learning Tool (T-E Learning Tool) in fostering Financial Discipline among 6 students of the Economics Education Study Program at Jambi University, emphasizing its relevance within Digital-Based Economics Learning. The research procedure involved three phases: Pre Intervention, 14-day Intervention, and Post Intervention. Data were collected primarily through in-depth interviews and observational documentation, and subsequently analyzed using Descriptive Content Analysis to identify narrative findings. The results indicate that the Money Manager Application effectively overcame student behavioral barriers (such as laziness and inconvenience) and served as a practical learning tool that facilitated the comprehension of financial management concepts. The key finding resides in the mechanism of Instant Visual Feedback provided by the application; this feature triggered self-evaluation and accountability, thus significantly improving students' control and allocation of financial resources. It is concluded that this digital application is a powerful catalyst in achieving the goals of Digital-Based Economics Learning concerning Financial Discipline formation. Formal integration of similar digital tools into the curriculum is recommended, along with necessary technical improvements and minimization of disruptions (advertisements) to maximize its pedagogical potential.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa calon guru dalam menyusun instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) dengan metode REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring). Metode REACT dipilih karena menekankan pada pengajaran yang menghubungkan konsep-konsep dengan konteks kehidupan nyata, mendorong siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, kreatif, dan analitis. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan Mixed Method dengan partisipasi 30 mahasiswa calon guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, tes, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode REACT memberikan peningkatan signifikan terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyusun instrumen berbasis HOTS. Metode REACT memungkinkan calon guru lebih terampil dalam merancang instrumen evaluasi yang tidak hanya mengukur kemampuan kognitif rendah tetapi juga keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa. Temuan ini memberikan implikasi penting bagi program pelatihan guru dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di masa mendatang.Kata Kunci: HOTS, REACT, Evaluasi, Pembelajaran, PPKnThe purpose of this study was to improve the ability of prospective teacher students in compiling Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning evaluation instruments using the REACT (Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) method. The REACT method was chosen because it emphasizes teaching that connects concepts with real-life contexts, encouraging students to develop critical, creative, and analytical thinking skills. The study was conducted through a Mixed Method approach with the participation of 30 prospective teacher students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, tests, and document analysis. The results showed that the application of the REACT method provided a significant increase in students' ability to compile HOTS-based instruments. The REACT method allows prospective teachers to be more skilled in designing evaluation instruments that not only measure low cognitive abilities but also students' critical and creative thinking skills. These findings provide important implications for teacher training programs in an effort to improve the quality of education in the future. Keywords: HOTS, REACT, Evaluation, Learning, Civic Education.

Abstract

Perkembangan ekonomi global menuntut generasi muda untuk berperan aktif dalam kewirausahaan, namun jumlah wirausahawan di Indonesia masih rendah (3,47%) dibandingkan negara maju. Mahasiswa sebagai calon pemimpin masa depan memiliki potensi besar untuk menciptakan lapangan kerja melalui wirausaha, didukung oleh faktor internal seperti literasi kewirausahaan dan kewirausahaan digital, serta faktor eksternal seperti dukungan keluarga. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh ketiga faktor tersebut terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Pendidikan Ekonomi Universitas Jambi angkatan 2021 menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksplanatori dengan metode ex-post facto. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa: (1) Kewirausahaan digital berpengaruh signifikan (thitung=3,244 > ttabel=1,66388), (2) Lingkungan keluarga memberikan dampak positif terkuat (thitung =7,008), dan (3) Literasi kewirausahaan menjadi faktor paling dominan (thitung =16,245). Secara simultan, ketiga variabel menjelaskan 77,8% minat berwirausaha (Fhitung=92,355 > Ftabel=2,71). Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi, keluarga, dan kebijakan pemerintah dalam membangun ekosistem kewirausahaan muda berbasis digital guna mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the principle of good faith in business contracts from the perspective of civil law. The principle of good faith is one of the fundamental principles in contract law that ensures fairness, honesty, and balance between the parties involved in a contractual relationship. This research uses a normative juridical method with a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The data used in this research are secondary data obtained from legislation, legal books, scientific journals, and other relevant legal documents related to civil law and contract law. The results of the study indicate that the principle of good faith plays a crucial role in every stage of a business contract, including the negotiation process, the formation of the contract, and the implementation of the agreement. In civil law, good faith is not only interpreted as honesty but also includes fairness, propriety, and responsibility in fulfilling contractual obligations. The proper implementation of the principle of good faith can prevent disputes and provide legal protection for the parties involved in business transactions. Therefore, the principle of good faith must be consistently applied in drafting and implementing business contracts to ensure justice, legal certainty, and balance for all parties.
