Abstract

Computational Thinking (CT) or Computational Thinking is indispensable in mathematics. Programming Language courses are expected to facilitate and develop students' CT skills. The Project Base Learning (PjBL) learning model is used to see students' CT abilities. The project carried out in this PjBL learning is the making of learning media using Matlab. The media produced by the students has met the aspects of fluency in use, script accuracy, and flowchart logic. Students' CT abilities are in good category from the aspects of abstraction, logarithmic thinking, debugging / evaluation, and generalization because they have met the percentage of achievement of 82%.

Abstract

This research is development research that aims to develop an assessment based on the Quizizz application to measure the reasoning ability of junior high school students' flat wake material. The research subjects were 60 junior high school students. Data sources were obtained from the results of the test and student response questionnaires. The steps for adopting test development using the Djemari Mardapi stage with the following steps: compiling test specifications, writing tests, reviewing tests, conducting test trials, analyzing test items, refining tests, assembling tests, administering tests, and interpreting test results. The results showed that the Quiziz application-based assessment was valid, reliable, practical, and effective. The test has a characteristic difficulty level, namely two easy category questions and eight medium category questions, and the distinguishing power of 8 very good questions and two good questions. The reasoning ability of students' flat shapes, as measured by an assessment based on the Quizizz application, has an average of 67.83, with a fairly good category.

Abstract

Abstrak. Komunikasi menjadi alat bagi siswa untuk menyampaikan pemikirannya agar dapat dipahami oleh orang lain. Mengingat pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis, guru bertugas untuk membantu siswa dalam mengembangkan kemampuan tersebut. Terdapat banyak cara yang bisa digunakan oleh guru, salah satunya penggunaan bahan ajar yang tepat guna. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembangan modul yang menekankan pada kemampuan komunikasi siswa agar bisa digunakan sebagai bahan ajar guru dalam membantu siswa. Penelitian dilakukan di Kelas VIII SMP Negeri di Batu dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 23 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Mixmethod dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Hasil dari validasi modul, uji keefektifan, uji normalitas, dan uji Wilcoxonmenyatakan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis tertulis siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan bahan ajar modul dengan interpretasi “sedang”. Hasil uji kepraktisan juga menyatakan bahwa modul ini praktis untuk digunakan.Berdasarkan pernyataan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan valid, efektif, dan praktis untuk digunakan sebagai bahan ajar guru dalam membantu siswa mengembangkan kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya.Kata Kunci: Bahan Ajar, Komunikasi Matematis Tertulis, Modul, Relasi dan Fungsi.

Abstract

This development research aims to (1) Know the practicality of learning media based on the wick editor to be used in the learning process on the material of arithmetic rows and series (2) Know the response of students to the use of learning media in the classroom; and (3) Improve students' creative thinking skills to solve problems related to mathematics This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study with the ADDIE development model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data collection techniques used interviews, validation, student response questionnaires, and student creative thinking ability questionnaires. Validation was carried out by academics and practitioners, as well as students' responses. The wick editor-based learning media developed was tested on 34 students of class VIII at senior high school. The results of material expert validation obtained an average score of 82.95% with very valid criteria. The practicality of the media obtained from the student response questionnaire obtained an average score of 90% with very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the media is obtained from the average results of the questionnaire of students' thinking skills with an average N-Gain score of 0.75 with a high category.

Abstract

This research is qualitative research that aimed to investigate the results of the development of learning media by students to improve school students' creative performance and students' creative thinking using the Kodular application. This study focuses on the problem of the lack of learning media at the junior high school level which is used as a means of independent learning for students at home. The subject was a class of The Department of Mathematics Education. The research subjects were 41 students in the department of mathematics education. data were taken using observation and documentation techniques that were adapted to mathematical creative thinking indicators. Interactive multimedia developed by students in the form of mathematical material presented in text form, containing equations, screenshots of graphics from the Desmos application, and video explanations of the material. Furthermore, practice questions and post-tests are presented using the help of Google Form, Quizziz, and Liveworksheets so that users get a direct response to the answers to the questions so that they meet the interactive characteristics of the learning media. The results obtained are 41 students are able to develop interactive multimedia that is run through an android application in junior high school mathematics learning. Creative thinking skills are achieved by using the dimensions of fluency, flexibility, and originality. This is achieved from media development carried out by students The creative performance of students reaches the usefulness dimension but has not been able to reach the novelty of the interactive multimedia that has been developed.

Abstract

Poisson-Boltzmann is an equation which is used frequently to model a variety of electrostatic interactions problems in biomolecular computation. A value of atomic energy at the molecular movement becomes a singular value on the PBE. It affects the difficulty of solving this equation both analytically and numerically. In this article, this equation will be solved numerically. In this case, this equation is discretized using finite element method. The resulted system of equation is then solved with inexact backtracking Newton.

Abstract

Dalam ajaran Islam, seluruh umat muslim diharuskan untuk menguburkan seseorang yang telah meninggal, hal ini menjadi pertanyaan besar apakah dalam hal penguburan ini akan memberikan dampak kepada pemakaian lahan yang berlebihan. Dengan mempertimbangkan data dan masalah yang terjadi akhir-akhir ini, tulisan ini mendeskripsikan bagaimana pemakaian lahan pemakaman dan penguburan jenazah dengan model matematika. Persamaan diferensial digunakan untuk membentuk model tanah makam ini. Dari analisis model yang telah dilakukan yaitu jika tidak ada penambahan lahan, maka jumlah dari makam yang ditumpangkan adalah sebesar 98% dari makam yang terpakai. Selain itu, jika tidak ada penumpangan lahan, maka penambahan yang dilakukan sebesar 49% dari besarnya luas tanah yang terpakai.

Abstract

Dalam bidang matematika, banyak model yang dikembangkan untuk memprediksi perubahan dalam bidang perikanan. Salah satu model yang sering digunakan untuk menganalisis interaksi ikan beserta biota laut lainnya adalah model predator-prey. Penelitian sebelumnya telah menganalisis dan membuat simulasi model predator-prey dengan Metode Runge-Kutta. Artikel ini membandingkan Metode Runge-Kutta dan metode Bulirsch–Stoer. Hasil yang diperoleh memberikan kesimpulan bahwa metode Bulirsch-Stoer yang digunakan masih perlu dikembangkan karena hasil yang diberikan metode ini tidak konvergen.
