Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari masih rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model problem based learning berbasis metakognitif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimental dengan pre test and post test control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP di kota Metro yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes berupa 5 soal essay. Instrumen yang digunakan telah memenuhi kriteria layak berdasarkan validitas, reliabilitas, daya beda, dan indeks kesukaran. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t data n-gain. Berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan SPSS 21 diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model problem based learning berbasis metakognitif efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui analisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V SD di Kecamatan Gunungpati Kota Semarang. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas V dan  Guru kelas V Sekolah Dasar SD Negeri Ngijo 02. Tes dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data pada penelitian ini. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil nilai rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V adalah 54,76 dengan kriteria rendah. Masih ada kesalahan-kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada indikator-indikator tertentu. Kendala yang sering dialami siswa dalam memecahkan masalah adalah kurangnya pemahaman siswa terhadap masalah yang harus dipecahkan dan kurangnya kemampuan siswa dalam menuliskan informasi pada soal.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a problem-based learning model based on metacognitive that is oriented towards improving students' critical thinking skills. This research is a Research Development. The research procedure used for research and development by Borg Gall. The development steps include: Research and Information Collection, Planning, Develop Preliminary of Product, validation by experts, Preliminary Testing, and Main Field Test. However, this research is limited to the step of validation by experts. The subjects of this research were 1 teacher and 2 lecturers. This research instrument are validation sheet for experts and a validation sheet for practitioners. The results of this research are (1) the design of a problem-based learning model based on metacognitive that is oriented towards improving critical thinking skills; (2) learning tools in the form of: Learning Implementation Plans and Student Worksheets in the topic “the three dimensional (3D) shape with flat surface ” of class VIII SMP even semester. The results of the expert and practitioner's validation analysis met the valid criteria. The model development design assessment score is 80%, Learning Implementation Plan score is 88%, and the Student Worksheet score is 88%. Overall, the product developed is suitable for use. Based on the assessment by experts, theoretically, product development can be used to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Pemecahan masalah merupakan bagian penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Kebutuhan siswa pada suatu modul pembelajaran perlu menjadi perhatian serius guna memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Oleh karena itu, dilakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis discovery learning yang valid dan praktis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D). Prosedur pengembangan menggunakan model Borg & Gall. Adapun tahap pelaksanaannya terdiri dari: 1) research and information collecting, 2) planning, 3) develop preliminary of product, 4) preliminary field testing. Analisis yang digunakan berupa deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis discovery learning memenuhi kriteria kevalidan dengan persentase 90% oleh ahli materi, 91% oleh ahli media, dan 82% oleh ahli bahasa. Modul yang dikembangkan juga memenuhi kriteria kepraktisan dengan persentase 94% oleh guru dan 85% oleh siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul pembelajaran matematika berbasis discovery learning memenuhi kriteria kevalidan dan kepraktisan, sehingga secara teoritis layak digunakan untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a critical reasoning and independent character instrument on the topic of human blood circulation. The method used was research and development (R&D) with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The results showed that the validity value of the content of critical reasoning instruments obtained a final value of 0.97, while independent instruments obtained a value of 1, which was perfect. Judging from empirical validity, vital and independent reasoning instruments were declared valid because they had a value above 0.355 from 31 students tested. Critical and independent reasoning instruments were declared reliable. The Alpha Cronbach value >0.70 had good distinguishing power because the value of the Corrected Item-Total Correlation did not exceed the Alpha Cronbach value. Developing assessment instruments for a critical and independent character in human blood circulation for fifth-grade elementary students was successful, demonstrating high validity and reliability, and held the significant potential to enhance science education through technology integration.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low skills of students in solving mathematical problems, where problem solving skills are one of the important skills of the 21st century. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the discovery learning model assisted by the mathematics learning module on students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This type of research is quasi-experimental. The research design used is Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The research was conducted in the fifth grade in two elementary schools. The instrument used in this research was a test instrument consisting of 8 essay questions. Data analysis techniques using parametric statistical tests. The research results obtained: 1) the average mathematical problem-solving skills of students in the experimental group reached the passing grade; 2) the proportion of experimental class students who achieved a passing grade was more than 75%; 3) the average experimental mathematical problem-solving skills is higher than the control group; 4) students' mathematical problem-solving skills in the experimental group have increased (n-gain) with the criteria of "high." Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that learning using the discovery learning model assisted by the mathematics learning module is effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skill.

Abstract

Kegiatan pendampingan bagi guru SD ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang media pembelajaran, meningkatkan pengetahuan guru dalam penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot, meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam penerapan model TGT berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini ialah dengan observasional dan modelling dengan empat fase, yaitu : fase perhatian, fase retensi, fase reproduksi, dan fase motivasi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah penyebaran angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil kegiatan pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan, yakni (1) pemahaman guru tentang media pembelajaran dengan rata-rata sebesar 81,24 menjadi 93,75 pada posttest; (2) pemahaman guru tentang penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot dengan rata-rata nilai pretest sebesar 80,63 pada pretest menjadi 93,75; (3) keterampilan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot dengan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 71,35 menjadi 88,54 pada posttest. Simpulan kegiatan ini adalah pendampingan guru SD dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot dapat meingkatkan pemahaman tentang meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang media pembelajaran, meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot, Meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam penerapan model TGT berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot. Serta meningkatkan keterampilan dalam penerapan model TGT berbantuan aplikasi Kahoot untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore effective classroom management strategies and their impact on student behavior in primary schools. A systematic review of literature published between 2020 and 2025 focused on classroom management techniques such as positive reinforcement, restorative practices, and classroom environment organization. The findings revealed positive reinforcement significantly reduced disruptive behaviors and enhanced student engagement in learning activities. Restorative practices, prioritizing relationship-building over punitive measures, were found to improve student-teacher relationships and reduce aggression. Additionally, the physical arrangement of the classroom played a crucial role in minimizing disruptions and supporting student focus. The study also highlighted the importance of teacher training in classroom management, which improved teachers' confidence and effectiveness. Based on these findings, practical recommendations for teachers and policymakers were provided, emphasizing the need for ongoing professional development, integrating restorative practices, and creating conducive learning environments. Future research should further explore the implementation of these strategies in diverse educational contexts, considering cultural and social factors that may influence their success.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terbatasnya studi mengenai kemampuan penalaran matematis pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas V sekolah dasar dalam menyelesaikan soal pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 14,3% kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa berada pada kategori tinggi, 35,7% berada pada kategori sedang, dan mayoritas, yaitu 50%, berada pada kategori rendah. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam mengerjakan soal pemecahan masalah juga berada pada kategori rendah, yaitu sebesar 55%. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penalaran matematis siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 01 Nongkosawit, Kota Semarang, masih tergolong rendah. Rendahnya kemampuan ini disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, seperti pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih menekankan latihan rutin dibandingkan penalaran, kurangnya stimulasi melalui soal kontekstual dan terbuka, serta keterbatasan siswa dalam mengomunikasikan proses berpikir mereka secara logis dan sistematis. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan perlunya intervensi pembelajaran yang mendorong eksplorasi, diskusi, dan strategi penyelesaian yang sesuai, agar kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dapat berkembang secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in improving students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics. The background of this research is based on the low ability of students to deeply understand mathematical concepts, as indicated by the dominance of procedural-based learning and the lack of active learning interactions. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The sample consisted of two tenth-grade classes at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Metro, designated as the experimental and control groups. The instrument used was a set of five essay questions on trigonometry. Data was collected using a mathematical concept understanding test and analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the average conceptual understanding of mathematics in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class. The t-test result yielded a P-Value = 0.012 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the two groups. These findings suggest that the Jigsaw model is effective in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding in mathematics. This model can serve as an alternative instructional strategy that promotes active engagement, collaboration, and conceptual reinforcement, particularly in abstract topics such as trigonometry
