Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan tentang kemampuan literasi numerasi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan mendeskripsikan kemampuan numerasi mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Mahasiswa mengerjakan 3 pertanyaan masalah matematika. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 76 mahasiswa Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo Semester 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan numerasi mahasiswa PGMI IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo Semester 5 dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika adalah cukup dalam menggunakan berbagai macam angka atau simbol untuk menyelesaikan  masalah kehidupan sehari-hari serta menganalisis informasi yang ditampilkan dalam berbagai bentuk seperti grafik, tabel, bagan,diagram dan  lain sebagainya. Secara umum, hasil analisis tersebut belum dapat digunakan mahasiswa untuk memprediksi dan mengambil keputusan dengan tepat. Hal ini  ditunjukan pada hasil hanya 11,84% mahasiswa mampu menggunakan berbagai  macam angka dan simbol pada pertanyaan pertama, 21,05% mahasiswa mampu menganalisis informasi yang ditampilkan dalam berbagai bentuk dan hanya 9,21% yang memiliki kemampuan dalam menafsirkan seluruh analisis pertanyaan untuk mengambil keputusan yang tepat.

Abstract

Esensi dari para ahli mengantarkan model pembelajaran konstruktivisme menjadi pilihan yang tepat dalam menjalankan proses pembelajaran matematika di masa pandemi, hal ini dikarenakan konstruktivisme merupakan suatu model pembelajaran yang menjadikan siswa sebagai peserta didik aktif untuk membangun sendiri pengetahuannya. Melatih mahasiswa mengimplementasikan kegiatan Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi yaitu Pendidikan dan Pengajaran, Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Di mana pada kegiatan ini mahasiswa adalah Tutor untuk masyarakat dalam rangka pembuatan media dan pada saat bersamaan mahasiswa melakukan penelitian serta berinteraksi dengan masyarakat melalui kegiatan pendataan dan pelatihan, melatih mahasiswa agar memiliki komitmen terhadap tujuan KKN yang ditujukan untuk memberikan pelayanan yang berkualitas pada individu, keluarga dan komunitas/masyarakat dan mendorong partisipasi mahasiswa untuk mengaplikasikan program pemerintah di masyarakat, Mendorong partisipasi masyarakat agar turut aktif dalam proses pemanfaatan bahan bekas dalam penyediaan media pembelajaran untuk mengenalkan konsep matematika awal pada masa pandemi dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat tentang arti penting dari model pembelajaran dalam mengenal konsep matematika. Adapun yang mejadi hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah Luaran praktis Terimplementasinya model pembelajaran konstruktivisme dalam pembelajaran matematika pada siswa di desa Huyula Kab. Pohuwato dan Luaran wajib yaitu laporan hasil pelaksanaan KKN, catatan harian kegiatan, catatan keuangan, laporan kegiatan mahasiswa, Publikasi media massa.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve the understanding of mathematical concepts of students through Realistic Mathematics Education. Learning model assisted by teaching aids on cube and block material. This research is classroom action research. The research subjects were class VIIIA students for the 2021/2022 academic year with 26 people. The techniques used in data collection are observation and tests. The data analysis technique in this study is data analysis of teacher observations, student observations and tests of understanding mathematical concepts. The research procedure includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The study consisted of 2 cycles. Realistic Mathematics Education learning assisted by teaching aids on cube and block material, as long as this research has been running according to the learning implementation plan, has succeeded in creating a conducive learning situation, and increasing students' understanding of concepts. The results showed that the ability to understand mathematical concepts in the first cycle was 50% less criteria, and in the second cycle, 81% good criteria. The results of observations of teachers' teaching skills when managing learning has increased. In the first cycle, it reached 69.12% good criteria, while the second cycle reached 85.28% excellent criteria. The results of observations of student learning activities have increased. From the first cycle, the percentage is 63.75 good criteria, while the second cycle is 83.75% excellent criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on social arithmetic topics by applying the Talking Stick learning model. This type of research includes the type of classroom action research. The study involved 23 students from one of the junior high schools in Bone Bolango Regency as research subjects. The technique used in data collection is observation and tests. The technique used in data collection is observation and tests. The data analysis techniques in this study were teacher observation data analysis, student observation data analysis, and test analysis of learning outcomes. The research procedures are action planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in stages with cycles, namely cycles I and II. The results showed that the percentage of students who completed mathematics learning outcomes was 52.20% in the first cycle and 82.60% in the second cycle. Thus, there is an increase in students' mathematics learning outcomes by 30.40%. Based on the study results, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes on social arithmetic material have increased after the implementation of the Talking Stick learning model with two cycles of learning stages.

Abstract

The increased rice production can be realized through the role of farmer groups as a forum for farmers to plan and carry out rice farming every planting season. This study aims to identify the factors that influence the role of farmer groups in increasing rice production, and analyze how much influence these factors have on the role of farmer groups. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method. The sampling technique was carried out purposively using the Random Sampling technique, namely by taking 25% of the total population of 280 farmer group members so that the sample results were 70 people. The data of this research are primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through interviews using questionnaires with members of farmer groups, while secondary data were sourced from the relevant agencies. The data obtained were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis consisting of the F test and t test. The results showed that the factors of motivation, independence, and characteristics of the members of the farmer groups influenced the role of farmer groups in increasing rice production with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 60.1%. Meaning that the influence of other factors outside this study was only 39.9%.   Keywords:  Characteristics, farmers, motivation, production, rice, role, self-reliance

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengelola potensi desa, mengoptimalkan potensi sumberdaya manusia di Desa Sogu dan Desa Pilohulata Kecamatan Monano Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara dengan Program utama yaitu Optimalisasi Pelayanan Aparat Desa. Materi; Kesehatan dan Kepatuhan Hukum oleh Pemerintah Desa dalam pencegahan dan penanganan Stunting dalam situasi New Normal pasca pandemik Covid-19, 2) Pendampingan pelayanan Gizi untuk kesehatan masyarakat. 3) BimTek; Sosialisasi Pola Hidup Sehat (PHBS); Patuh Protap Kesehatan. 4) Pelatihan menanam tanaman di halaman dan kebun. 5) Program Tambahan; Pengolahan Potensi Pertanian, laut dan tambak untuk kawasan wilayah pesisir; Krepek sayur bayam, Penggaraman Ikan Batu dan Naghet Udang. Abstract

The application of technology can make it easier to understand and solve mathematical problems. Therefore, there is a need to integrate technology in mathematics learning. Technology can act as a learning medium. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using information technology-based learning media in mathematics learning to improve numeracy literacy in Class VIII of SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The indicators used to determine the effectiveness of learning are the teacher's ability to manage learning, student learning activities, and student numeracy literacy test results. Based on the research results, it was found that the teacher's ability to manage student learning and activities was categorized as effective, and the results of the students' numeracy literacy tests were classically complete. Thus, information technology-based learning is effective in increasing students' numeracy literacy at SMP Negeri 11 Gorontalo.

Abstract

Highlight Research There are 26 species identified to be originated from the bay, which the highest diversity in Indonesia Six species found in Kwandang Bay is showing trends of decreasing populations and two species vulnerable based on IUCN conservation list Growth model and Fulton condition factor determined for 14 species indicates that they live in a good state of well beings in the bay The models and condition factors also reflect the adequate food resources required for grouper growth which makes Kwandang Bay as a good habitat for groupers   Abstract Grouper fishery has been the source of income for 3,700 fishermen in Kwandang Bay. Since 2017, grouper populations in Kwandang have been depleting due to the absence of management. This research aimed to analyze species composition, length-weight relationship, and condition factor of the groupers. Samples were collected from fishers who caught the fish using traps, speargun, and handline. Samples were identified through a method by Heemstra and Randall, while the length-weight relationship was estimated using log-linear regression and t-test. The number of specimens identified during January - December 2021 was 1,571 individuals. Research showed that those samples consisted of 26 species under eight genera. Six species found in Kwandang Bay were showing trends of decreasing populations and two species were vulnerable based on the IUCN conservation list. Length-weight relationship analysis of 14 grouper species resulted in b value ranging from 1.6359 to 3.4417 and R2 ranges from 0.7718 to 0.9858. A significant test at a 95% confident interval showed that 14 species had an isometric growth pattern. Fulton condition factors show that Kwandang Bay is an essential habitat for groupers, and the bay can support the fish growth due to the adequate food availability.

Abstract

The aims of this research were to determine: (1) the impact of mathematical communication skills on learning outcomes, (2) the impact of learning motivation on learning outcomes, and (3) the simultaneous impact of mathematical communication skills and learning motivation on learning outcomes. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Botupingge and involved 23 respondents who were determined by using simple random sampling. The data collection techniques in this research employed instruments of: (1) test of mathematical communication skills, (2) learning motivation questionnaires, and (3) data on students’ daily test result in class VII in algebra topic in odd semester. The research data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with multiple regression analysis. Based on the findings, it can be inferred that: (1) mathematical communication skills impacted learning outcomes, (2) learning motivation impacted learning outcomes, and (3) simultaneously, mathematical communication skills and learning motivation impacted learning outcomes.
