Abstract

Character education and introduction to dance is one of the beginnings of planting and forming the character of students through character building training. Character values should need to be taught to students as successors to the nation's generation. However in the current era, students do not understand the values of character and even behave incorrectly in the environment. Providing character education coaching can be associated with linking the provision of training for students which can lead to the introduction of the nation's culture. This training aims to improve the character of students through dance training that can introduce dance culture at the same time so that students can provide knowledge of the nation's culture discussion methods and demonstration methods. The results of this service are that improving the character education of students who are delivered other than the delivery of material related to character and some examples of the application of good character values.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh motivasi dan keterampilan manajemen diri terhadap keberhasilan akademik siswa kelas 11 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam pembelajaran daring. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dengan menganalisis literatur terkait konsep motivasi, keterampilan manajemen diri, dan pembelajaran daring. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi, baik intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik, memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterlibatan siswa dan prestasi akademik mereka dalam konteks pembelajaran daring. Siswa yang memiliki motivasi tinggi cenderung lebih terlibat dalam proses belajar dan menunjukkan kinerja akademik yang lebih baik. Di sisi lain, keterampilan manajemen diri, seperti manajemen waktu, penetapan tujuan, pemantauan diri, dan regulasi diri, juga sangat penting dalam memfasilitasi keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran daring. Kemampuan siswa untuk mengatur diri mereka sendiri, mengelola waktu, dan tetap fokus pada tujuan mereka merupakan faktor kunci yang mempengaruhi hasil belajar mereka. Dalam konteks pendidikan kejuruan, di mana komponen praktis memainkan peran penting, tantangan dalam adaptasi ke pembelajaran daring menjadi semakin kompleks. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman yang mendalam tentang faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan siswa dalam pembelajaran daring, seperti motivasi dan keterampilan manajemen diri, sangat penting untuk pengembangan strategi pendidikan yang efektif dan adaptif. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi untuk memahami dinamika belajar siswa di era digital, dengan harapan dapat membantu meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan kejuruan di masa depan.

Abstract

Learning media plays an important role in improving students' learning abilities. One measure of student success is the application of interactive media implemented by teachers. The purpose of this study was to describe the responses of teachers and fourth grade elementary school students to the use of social studies learning media on the material "Recognizing National Cultural Diversity" in the Curriculum Merdeka based on interactive multimedia. The subjects of this study were 10 social studies teachers and 50 fourth grade students of Al-Azhar Elementary School and Al Munawwaroh Islamic Elementary School, Serang City, Banten, Indonesia. The method used was quantitative descriptive using a questionnaire instrument that measured teacher responses and student responses. The results showed that teachers and students gave a positive response to the use of Social Studies Learning Media on the subject matter "Recognizing National Cultural Diversity" based on interactive multimedia. With the percentage of teacher responses showing 85% with a practical category, then the average student response also showed a practical category with 84.8%. The findings of this study conclude that the use of the Social Studies Learning Media "Recognizing National Cultural Diversity" based on interactive multimedia is already practical in the implementation of the Curriculum Merdeka. Thus, the findings of this study provide challenges and policies on teaching practices related to the Social Studies Learning Media "Recognizing National Cultural Diversity" based on interactive multimedia used in learning in grade IV of elementary school in the Curriculum Merdeka.

Abstract

Systematic studies mapping research trends and dynamics related to the potential of comics in learning, particularly in the context of increasing reading interest in elementary school students, are still rare. However, this potential is increasingly recognised in various studies. This study aims to analyse trends and patterns of scientific publications regarding the use of comics in increasing reading interest in elementary school students over the past decade (2015–2025). This study employed a quantitative design with bibliometric analysis methods, utilising data from 1,990 scientific articles obtained through the Dimensions.ai platform. Data were analysed using Bibliometrix R-Package software, which includes visualisation techniques such as word clouds and world maps, as well as citation and co-authorship analysis, which can be viewed through the Dimensions.ai platform. The results show a significant increase in the number of publications from 2020 to 2024, with researchers from various countries contributing to the growth. The dominant themes that emerged reflect the importance of comics in the context of elementary Education, including children, reading comprehension, and the use of comics as a learning medium. This study concludes that comics play a strategic role in increasing reading interest among elementary school students, as evidenced by a systematic mapping of research trends and dynamics over the past decade, conducted through bibliometric analysis. These findings have important implications for policy developers in the field of Education, including the support of inclusive and innovative literacy programs in primary education, the opening up of opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration, and providing a basis for longitudinal research on the long-term impact of comics on children's literacy development.
