Students' Reflective Thinking on The Topic of Protozoa Citraningrum, Mivtha; Machmud, Amir

Abstract

One of the materials studied in science learning is about the Filum Protozoa (one of the invertebrate animals). Students only know that protozoa generally cause harm to humans or animals because they are parasites but do not think about what the solution to overcome this parasite is. To overcome this, students are encouraged to have reflective thinking skills. Reflective thinking is the ability of individuals to select knowledge that they have acquired, which is relevant to the purpose of the problem and utilize it effectively in problem solving. To develop reflective thinking skills, we can use learning strategies that can sharpen students' thinking skills. The purpose of writing this article is to find out how experts think about reflective thinking, how to measure reflective thinking and how to develop reflective thinking skills in students. The method used in this research is a literature study, in the form of analysis and synthesis of several scientific articles. How to measure reflective thinking can be done with tests and non-tests. Researchers collected 10 previous studies in the range of 2011-2018 regarding reflective thinking skills then analyzed and concluded that reflective thinking is a student's ability to select knowledge that has been owned and stored in his memory to solve any problems faced to achieve his goals.

Abstract

Miskonsepsi dalam pembelajaran selalu menjadi permasalahan penting yang harus ditindak lanjuti, kesulitan peserta didik dalam memahami materi biologi, penggunaan pola piker intuitef dan tidak menggunakan pola pokor ilmiah menjadi sorotan penting. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Conceptual Change dengan konflik kognitif terhadap miskonsepsi dan self regulation peserta didik kelas VIII. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan jenis quasy-experiment dan pre-test post-test control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII MTS Negeri, dengan dua kelas menjadi sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari tes multiple choice dengan certainty of response indexs, angket self regulation, keseluruhan instrumen telah melalui tahapan analisis pokok uji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan data reduksi miskonsepsi, pada kelas eksperimen nilai reduksi 40% menjadi 18% dan kelas kontrol nilai reduksi 42% menjadi 33% sedangkan self regulation mengalami peningkatan pada kelas eksperimen 56% (kurang ) menjadi 66% (cukup) dan kelas control 58% (kurang) menjadi 59% (cukup). Diketahui bahwa perolehan nilai uji t independent sig. (0.00) lebih kecil dari α 0.05 (0.00<0.05) dengan demikian artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, dapat disimpulkan model Conceptual Change dengan konflik kognitif berpengaruh terhadap reduksi miskonsepsi dan peningkatan self regulation

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh tumbuhan paku (Selaginella intermedia) terhadap kematangan buah pisang raja (Musa paradisiaca). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membandingkan dua kelompok buah pisang raja, satu kelompok yang dilapisi Selaginella intermedia dan satu kelompok tidak dilapisi Selaginella intermedia. Jenis dan desain adalah eksperimen, dilaksanakan pada tanggal 18-24 Juli 2024, di Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong. Sampel yang digunakan adalah Selaginella intermedia, teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang didapat bahwa buah pisang raja (Musa paradisiaca) yang dilapisi Selaginella intermedia mengalami perubahan warna yang bertransisi dari hijau ke kuning kuningan dalam waktu lebih singkat. Aroma yang dihasilkan juga lebih bervariasi dan manis, sementara buah pisang raja yang tidak dilapisi Selaginella intermedia menunjukkan aroma yang terbatas. Tekstur buah dari kelompok yang dilapisi Selaginella intermedia juga menjadi lebih lunak secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan kelompok tanpa Selaginella intermedia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh Selaginella intermedia terhadap kematangan buah pisang raja (Musa paradisiaca) yang diamati selama 1 minggu. Penelitian ini dibuktikan dengan adanya perubahan fisiologis pada warna kulit buah pisang raja dari hijau sampai ke kuning kecoklatan

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran IPA di SMP Negeri 11 Kabupaten Sorong. Jenis dan desain adalah eksperimen, dilaksanakan 16-31 Juli 2024, di SMP Negeri 11 Kabupaten Sorong. Jumlah peserta didik dalam penelitian 28 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data digunakan adalah Uji Normalitas, Uji N-Gain. Dan Uji t-one sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji Normalitas dengan pretes 40 bersignifikan 167 dengan postes bersignifikan 007. Uji N-Gain diperoleh nilai minimum 10 maksimal 54, Mean 0528, standar deviasi 6102. Uji t-one sampel t-tes diperoleh 1,83% dan berada pada kategori baik dengan nilai rata-rata 70,67% dan kategori ketuntasan hasil belajar 90%. Maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran problem solving hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 11 Kabupaten sorong.

Abstract

Penggunaan model pembelajaran yang tepat penting dan patut diperhatikan, penelitian ini dilakukan karena kurangnya model pembelajan yang kreatif dan inovatif dalam suatu proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri 6 Klablim Kota Sorong, penelitian yang dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ekperimen dengan model One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan soal pretest dan postets. Perhitungan analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji-t. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar sesudah dan sebelum penggunakan  Model Pembelajaran Team Games Tournamen, terlihat dari rata-rata pre-test 50 sedangkan nilai rata-rata post-test 82,5. Selain itu hasil rata-rata N-gain yang diperoleh adalah 0,64, yang dikategorikan "sedang" dengan nilai n-gain sedang, jika 0,7 > g > 0,3; dan. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan pendekatan model pembelajaran pada penelitian ini tergolong efektif. Maka dapat disimpulkam terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar IPA siswa sebelum dan sesudahmenggunkan model Team Games Tournamentdi SD Negeri 6 Klablim tahun pelajaran 2023/2024.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore the reflective thinking skills of students as prospective teachers in the invertebrate zoology course through an analysis of the learning process of the literature provided during lectures. The research method used was the case study of the invertebrate zoology lecturing process. The instruments in this study were observation sheets, task analysis used in lectures, and a questionnaire about students' perceptions of lecture activities. The results showed that the Invertebrate Zoology lectures only focused on concepts or theories and did not provide reflective thinking skills. Therefore, Zoology lectures have not shown a balanced mastery of concepts and reflective thinking skills.ABSTRAK: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggali kemampuan berpikir reflektif mahasiswa calon guru pada mata kuliah zoologi invertebrata melalui analisis proses pembelajaran hingga analisis literatur yang diberikan selama perkuliahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus terhadap proses perkuliahan zoologi invertebrata. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi, analisis tugas yang digunakan dalam perkuliahan, angket tentang respon mahasiswa terhadap kegiatan perkuliahan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perkuliahan zoologi Invertebrata yang di berikan hanya fokus pada konsep atau teori dan tidak memberikan keterampilan berpikir reflektif. Artinya, perkuliahan zoologi belum menunjukkan bekal penguasaan konsep dan kemampuan berpikir reflektif yang seimbang.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out how the development, feasibility, and effectiveness of android-based guidance and counseling primary service media are used to increase the conceptual understanding of the reproductive system and adolescents sexual behavior during the post-pandemic period. The researchers employed the Borg and Gall’s concept by involving nine stages starting from potential and problem mapping, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, product revision, trial use, and product revisions. The research instruments were media expert validation questionnaires, linguists, material experts, student and educator response questionnaires, concept understanding tests, and documentation. The sample used in the limited-scale test was 10 students, while in the wide-scale test there were 76 students. Based on the results of the research on the feasibility test of android-based primary service media on the conceptual understanding of the reproductive system and adolescents sexual behavior, the percentage of material experts was 82%, linguists was 82 %, and media experts was 84 %, all in the very decent category. The results of the questionnaire respondents were very positive in which it was seen from the results of the teacher's response questionnaire that was 94 % and 85 % of students with ‘very interesting’ criteria. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the media can be seen from the average N-gain of the experimental class 0.58 (moderate) and N-gain of the control class 0.57 (moderate). Independent t-test with a sig 2-tailed 0.00 was less than 0.05 (alpha). Thus, it is concluded that the android can increase the conceptual understanding of the reproductive system and adolescents sexual behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to develop student worksheets on Vermes (worms). The research method employed is Research and Development with the 4D development model consisting of four stages: defining (Define), designing (Design), developing (Develop), and disseminating (Disseminate). The study results indicate that the student worksheet developed is feasible based on the validation results by three experts in media, material, and language. It can be concluded that the worksheet of Phylum Platyhelminthes, Nemathelmintes and Annelida is feasible to be used as a new learning resource. It is recommended that further research focus on implementation to analyze the effectiveness of these worksheets in improving students' reflective thinking skills. Pengembangan Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) Berbasis Inkuiri Pada Materi Filum Platyhelminthes, Nemathelmintes Dan Annelida ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan Lembar kerja mahasiswa pada materi Vermes (Cacing). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Reseach and Development dengan model pengembangan 4D terdiri atas pendefinisian (Define), perancangan (Design), pengembangan (Develop), dan penyebaran (Disseminate). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Lembar kerja mahasiswa yang telah dibuat layak dikembangkan berdasarkan hasil validasi tiga ahli (media, materi dan bahasa). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa yang memaparkan materi Filum Platyhelminthes, Nemathelmintes dan Annelida layak digunakan sebagai sumber belajar baru. Rekomendasi yang diberikan untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah implementasi untuk melihat seberapa besar efektifitas sumber belajar ini dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir reflektif mahasiswa.
