Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to assist elementary school teachers in implementing digital game-based education as an effort to increase students' learning motivation while also creating more effective, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences. Through this approach, students are not only encouraged to be more active but are also trained in critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, which are highly essential in the 21st century. To ensure optimal implementation, teachers need to have a solid understanding and specific skills in designing and adapting educational games in accordance with the applicable curriculum. Therefore, intensive training and mentoring are key elements in teacher empowerment. The implementation of this program at SD Al Ashriyyah Nurul Iman Islamic Boarding School has shown significant improvements in pedagogical skills, digital literacy, and teacher creativity, ultimately supporting the creation of a more innovative and sustainable learning environment. Additionally, teachers have begun to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational games used and adapt them to suit students’ learning needs. The use of various digital platforms such as Kahoot, Wordwall, and Scratch Jr has enriched the diversity of learning methods. Teachers have also started forming peer-sharing communities to support each other in implementing this method. It is expected that this mentoring model can be replicated in other elementary schools as a strategy to strengthen teachers’ capacity in facing the challenges of digital education.

Abstract

This study explores how the multisensory method is used in lower grade primary schools to boost student engagement. Early grade students learn best through concrete experiences seeing, hearing, touching, and moving. Through a literature review of journals from 2020-2025, the study found that this method helps students be more active and emotionally connected during lessons. It also supports children with learning difficulties like dyslexia. Still, its success depends on the teacher’s ability to design suitable and engaging activities.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning motivation and high absenteeism among fourth-grade students at SDN Rawabuaya 03 Pagi. Preliminary observations revealed that the lack of student engagement was caused by monotonous, teacher-centered learning methods that failed to stimulate students’ curiosity and participation. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Hand on Activity learning model and analyze its impact on students' motivation and learning outcomes. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the principal, classroom teacher, and fourth-grade students.. The results of the study indicate that the Hand on Activity learning model significantly increases student participation, motivation, and understanding. Students are more enthusiastic about participating in learning when directly involved in practical activities rather than passive listening. Teachers utilize learning tools such as group discussions, experiments, and real-life simulations to create a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. Additionally, involving parents through communication before the learning process helps students prepare better for classroom activities. Despite some challenges, such as limited learning media and facilities, the application of the Hand on Activity model proves effective in enhancing cognitive, psychomotor, and social skills. This research concludes that the Hand on Activity model is highly effective for primary education as it fosters active learning, improves student attendance, and enhances learning outcomes. Therefore, this model is recommended for wider implementation in elementary schools to create a more engaging and meaningful learning process

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Pancasila pada siswa kelas IVB SDN 09 Cipinang Besar Utara Jakarta. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang masih konvensional dan kurang melibatkan partisipasi aktif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran TGT berkhasiat dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat dari 72,03 sebelum penerapan menjadi 89,67 setelah penerapan model TGT. Persentase ketuntasan belajar juga meningkat dari 38,7% menjadi 91%. Selain itu, hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa 94% siswa merasa senang terhadap pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model TGT. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran TGT terbukti mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang aktif, menyenangkan, dan bermakna bagi siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This literature study aims to analyze the impact of the Discovery Learning model on student activeness at the elementary school level. The Discovery Learning model emphasizes the active role of students in discovering learning concepts independently through exploration, observation, and analysis. This study reviews various sources such as journals, scientific articles, and previous research relevant to the implementation of Discovery Learning in elementary education. The findings indicate that the Discovery Learning model significantly enhances student engagement across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. Students become more enthusiastic, actively participate in discussions, and demonstrate increased curiosity and critical thinking skills. Therefore, Discovery Learning is considered an effective instructional approach in fostering participative and meaningful learning environments in primary education.
