Abstract

Bahan ajar dan evaluasi belajar merupakan komponen penting perangkat pembelajaran yang harus disiapkan pendidik secara baik dan berkualitas. Peserta didik lebih mudah menjalankan aktivitas belajarnya jika didukung ketersediaan bahan ajar yang lengkap dan bermutu. Pendidik perlu merancang evaluasi belajar yang dapat mengatasi kecurangan akademik agar hasil belajar optimal dan berintegritas. Berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara di SMA se-Kecamatan Rambatan, bahan ajar yang tersedia sangat minim, penyajian materi masih tekstual belum mengakomodasi gaya belajar peserta didik. Bahkan pengembangan bahan ajar kekinian yang berbasis digital dan berorientasi revolusi industri empat titik nol ketersediaannya belum memadai. Selain itu kemampuan mendesain soal ujian yang dapat diandalkan untuk meningkatkan integritas peserta didik masih sangat rendah. Soal yang dirancang hanya bersifat hafalan memicu terjadinya kecurangan akademik berupa nyontek dan plagiasi. Oleh karena itu perlu ada upaya untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pendidik berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut melalui pelatihan pengembangan bahan ajar digital dan evaluasi belajar model extenics yang mengantisipasi terjadinya kecurangan akdemik.

Abstract

In the evolving landscape of Society 5.0, the imperative for students to think critically has become paramount. The acquisition of high order thinking skills (HOTS) plays a pivotal role in nurturing students to become independent, creative thinkers. These skills, encompassing analysis, evaluation, and the generation of innovative ideas, are essential for adapting to the dynamic demands of the modern era. However, the transition to HOTS-based learning poses challenges for students accustomed to conventional teaching methods. This study, conducted among 265 selected students from SMP Negeri 30 Padang using a stratified random sampling technique, employed a questionnaire for data collection. Descriptive statistical analysis revealed that 77% of students exhibited HOTS in performing tasks, 77% in answering exams, and 76% in actively engaging with the learning process. Moreover, gender disparities were observed in HOTS-based learning, with 74% of male students demonstrating proficiency compared to 79% of female students. The findings underscore the necessity for educational institutions to address the readiness of students for HOTS-based learning methodologies. Recognizing the gender-based variations in HOTS proficiency, schools are urged to implement targeted strategies to enhance students' critical thinking skills, ensuring optimal outcomes in the learning process. This research contributes valuable insights into the ongoing efforts required to cultivate HOTS-based learning environments in secondary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran tematik sesuai dengan kriteria kelayakan media menggunakan aplikasi Macromedia Authorware 7.0 untuk pembelajaran tematik kelas I SD. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan model prosedural menggunakan Interactive Multimedia (IMM) development model dengan subjek penelitian empat orang responden yang terdiri dari dua orang validator ahli media dan dua orang validator ahli materi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validitas angket dengan kriteria yang meliputi aspek materi dan aspek media. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kualitas produk media pembelajaran pada aspek materi termasuk kategori validitas valid. Sedangkan pada aspek media termasuk kategori validitas sangat valid dan dapat dikatakan layak untuk diproduksi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis tersebut, maka media pembelajaran ini layak digunakan oleh siswa sebagai media pembelajaran di kelas I SD.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of constructive play and the level of independence on prior knowledge of mathematics. The research method used is experimental. The research findings show that there is an effect of constructive play and the level of independence on early mathematical knowledge. In addition, there is also an interaction between constructive play and the level of independence towards early mathematical knowledge. In the group of children with a high level of independence, the use of Cuisenaire block constructive games resulted in higher initial mathematical knowledge compared to the group of children who were given geometric puzzle constructive games. On the other hand, in the group of children with a low level of independence, the early mathematical knowledge of the children who were given the Cuisenaire block constructive game was lower than the group of children who were given the geometric puzzle constructive game. Therefore, the Cuisenaire block constructive game is suitable for children with a high level of independence, while the geometric puzzle constructive game is more suitable for children with a low level of independence.

Abstract

The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in education has transformed how students learn, particularly in fostering self-regulated learning (SRL). However, understanding the mechanisms and conditions under which AI adoption influences SRL remains underexplored. This study investigates the roles of achievement goals, cognitive load, personalized learning, students' adaptability, and AI competence in shaping SRL within an AI-enhanced educational framework. The research employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach to analyze direct, mediating, and moderating effects while accounting for demographic controls such as age, gender, internet access, and environment. The findings reveal a complex interplay of factors. Direct effect testing showed that five hypothesized relationships, including the influence of achievement goals, cognitive load, personalized learning, and students’ adaptability on SRL, were unsupported. Mediation analysis confirmed that AI adoption significantly mediates the effects of achievement goals, cognitive load, and personalized learning on SRL, emphasizing the role of technology acceptance in enhancing learning autonomy. Moderation analysis identified that AI competence strengthens the relationship between achievement goals and SRL but does not moderate other interactions, such as those involving AI adoption or cognitive load. These results underscore the nuanced dynamics between cognitive, technological, and motivational factors in AI-enhanced learning. The study contributes to the growing literature on AI-driven education by highlighting the pivotal role of mediating variables like AI adoption and the limited yet strategic influence of AI competence. Future research should explore broader contextual and pedagogical factors to optimize the integration of AI tools in fostering self-regulated learning

Abstract

The learning process in the Society 5.0 era requires students to develop critical thinking skills. Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) play a crucial role in shaping students into creative, analytical, and independent learners. These skills involve the ability to analyze, evaluate, and generate new ideas. However, many students struggle with HOTS-based learning patterns because they are accustomed to conventional teaching methods. Students who are unprepared for HOTS-based learning find it difficult to adapt to the demands of critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. This descriptive comparative study aims to evaluate students' learning skills based on HOTS and examine gender-based differences in these skills. The population of this study consists of 879 students from Junior High School Number 30 Padang, with a sample of 265 students selected using stratified random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring students' abilities in three sub-variables: completing assignments, answering exams, and participating in learning activities. Descriptive statistical analysis shows that students' mastery of HOTS-based learning skills is 77% in completing assignments, 77% in answering exams, and 76% in participating in learning activities. The results of an independent t-test indicate that female students demonstrate better mastery of HOTS-based learning skills than male students. These findings highlight the importance of schools enhancing students' HOTS-based learning skills to improve academic outcomes and better prepare them for future challenges.

Abstract

Indonesia continues to face significant challenges in achieving optimal nutrition, as malnutrition persists despite advancements in the health sector. This study explores how parents in West Sumatra make decisions about their children's meals, focusing specifically on their understanding of stunting and the role of dietary variety. The goal is to assess how parental awareness of stunting affects their choices in providing balanced, nutritious meals for their children. The study collected data from 387 parents using a structured questionnaire, analyzed through descriptive and correlational methods. Results showed that rice is the primary staple, consumed an average of 2.78 times per day. Although animal protein sources like fish and eggs are commonly included, vegetable and fruit consumption remain below recommended levels. A weak but positive correlation was identified between parental knowledge and food variety, especially regarding fruits and vegetables. However, this relationship was generally weak (ρ < 0.2), likely shaped by additional factors like household income and food access. The research also uncovered notable variations in parental knowledge depending on socioeconomic status, with higher-income families demonstrating greater awareness of stunting. These outcomes imply that while nutrition education is important, it must be paired with strategies that address broader structural challenges such as affordability and food availability. Further studies using longitudinal or qualitative methods are recommended to better understand the behaviors that influence dietary choices and to inform more effective nutrition policies.

Abstract

Social behaviour in early childhood is a crucial foundation in the development of character and interpersonal competence from an early age through eating bajamba. This study aims to evaluate the impact of eating bajamba activities on the social behaviour of 5-6-year-old children at Sabbihisma 2 Ulak Karang Kindergarten. This research applied quantitative methodology with a quasi-experimental design. The research participants included 20 children classified into two groups, namely 10 children from class B3 as the treatment group and 10 children from class B4 as the control group, which were determined through a purposive sampling method. The research measurement tool was a test instrument containing nine statement items to assess children's social behaviour. The data analysis process was carried out using the SPSS version 25.0 application, starting with normality and homogeneity testing, which proved that the data were normally distributed and had uniform variance. Then, the independent sample t-test was implemented, which resulted in a probability value (2-tailed) of 0.014 < 0.05 and a calculated t value of 2.730 > t table of 1.734. The output indicates that the bajamba eating activity has a significant effect on improving children's social behaviour. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference in the formulation of a more dynamic and engaging learning approach to support the construction of early childhood social character

Abstract

Teachers must be more inventive in developing creative, original, engaging, and enjoyable learning activities to enhance children's comprehension of learning because youngsters lack numeracy skills such as matching, comparing, sequencing, and counting a collection of objects. The purpose of this study is to ascertain how interactive Canva media affects the numeracy abilities of kids in the 5–6 age range at Kartika Kindergarten 1-61 Padang. This study employs a quasi-experimental methodology with a quantitative approach. Techniques for gathering data include documentation and testing. The 50 youngsters who attended Kartika Kindergarten 1-61 Padang made up the study's population. 40 youngsters made up the study's sample, 20 of whom were in the experimental class (class B2) and 20 of whom were in the control class (class B1). The normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests were employed in this study's data processing methodology. Using SPSS 30 and the t-test statistical method, hypothesis testing revealed a significance level of less than 0.05. According to the study's findings, the average pre-test and post-test scores for the experimental class that used Canva medium were 13.50 and 18.30, respectively. The mean pre-test and post-test scores in the PowerPoint-using control group were 13.15 and 14.10, respectively. The resulting data were homogeneous and regularly distributed. Furthermore, Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted after the t-test findings showed that the sig value (2-tailed) was <0.001 <0.05. We may conclude that the numeracy skills of the pupils at Kartika Kindergarten 1-61 Padang are significantly impacted by interactive Canva media.

Abstract

Metode pengenalan kosakata masih monoton, kurang efektif, tidak menarik serta tidak memotivasi anak. Pendekatan yang digunakan belum mampu menarik minat anak-anak secara optimal, sehingga berdampak pada rendahnya motivasi mereka dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris ini, situasi ini mengindikasikan adanya kesenjangan antara metode pengajaran yang diterapkan dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik belajar anak usia dini.Studi ini dimaksudkan guna mengungkapkan pengaruh penggunaan aplikasi English for Kids terhadap pengenalan kosakata bahasa Inggris anak usia dini di TK Negeri I Padang. Total sampel 28 anak, mencakup 14 anak kelas eksperimen (B4) serta 14 anak kelas kontrol (B2). Metode quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest dan posttes dipakai diriset ini. Dalam menganalisis data,peneliti menggunakan seraingkaian uji normalitas,uji homogenitas,serta uji hipotesis guna memastiakan kelayakan dan kekuatan data yang di peroleh. Temuan mengindikasikan anak-anak yang belajar menggunakan aplikasi English for Kids mengalami peningkatan signifikan dipenguasaan kosakata bahasa Inggris dibandingkan dengan anak yang memakai video pembelajaran dari Youtube. Aplikasi ini efektif sebagai media belajar interaktif dalam pembelajaran kosakata bahasa Inggris bagi anak usia dini.
