Abstract

Permasalahan yang ada pada guru tampak pada implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Salah satu penerapan implementasi kurikulum merdeka adalah perangkat pembelajaran berupa modul ajar. Berdasarkan hasil survei menyatakan bahwa saat ini pengetahuan guru mengenai pembuatan modul ajar masih kurang memadai dan hasil survei ini dukung dari hasil wawancara dengan Kepala Dinas Kota Parepare yang menyatakan bahwa guru SMP/MTs Kota Parepare membutukan pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan modul ajar sebagai implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Berdasarkan permasalahan di atas, maka kami sebagai tim pelaksana kegiatan perlu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam pembuatan modul ajar sebagai implementasi kurikulum merdeka. Tim pelaksana mengadakan workshop selama 1 hari dengan penyampaian materi modul ajar dan pembuatan modul ajar sebagai produk hasil pemahaman mengenai konsep teori dari modul ajar yang telah dipaparkan/dijelaskan. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui pengamatan langsung dan diskusi yang menghasilkan produk berupa modul ajar dengan harapan guru dapat memahami pembuatan dan penerapan modul ajar sebagai implementasi kurikulum merdeka

Abstract

The beading handicraft training at Abadi Aisyiyah Orphanage in Parepare City was initiated due to the children's monotonous daily routines and limited facilities for developing their creative skills. This activity aimed to provide the children with new experiences, enhance their fine motor skills, creativity, and self-confidence. A total of 30 children from the Abadi Aisyiyah Orphanage in Parepare City participated in this activity. The training was conducted over three days, with the first day focused on demonstrating the making of bracelets and rings, followed by a creative session where the children could make crafts according to their imagination. The second day continued with demonstrations of making phone straps and keychains, followed by similar creative activities. Data collected showed a significant increase in the children's fine motor skills and self-confidence after the training. On the third day, the products were marketed, and the event was concluded. Following the training, there was a 25% increase in creativity, a 40% improvement in fine motor skills, and a 5% boost in self-confidence. Additionally, the sales of the handicraft products made by the children not only enhanced their marketing skills but also yielded a 100% profit. The profits were used to purchase beading tools and materials, ensuring the sustainability of this creative activity in the future. This activity underscores the importance of providing creative facilities for children's development in orphanages and demonstrates the positive impact of engaging in creative activities on skill development and self-confidence.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Siswa dibekali tingkatan kemampuan berpikir, maka penting pelajaran matematika di berikan salah satunya kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kemampuan HOTS yang berbeda-beda dimiliki siswa, sehingga hal ini juga mempengaruhi perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan HOTS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah ada pengaruh positif kemampuan HOTS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian Ex Post Facto. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII. 4 UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare yang berjumlah 26 responden dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah Cluster Random Sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar tes uraian sebanyak 3 nomor pada materi Persamaan Linear Satu Variabel (PLSV) untuk mengetahui kemampuan HOTS dan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik inferensial, dengan menguji hipotesis penelitian, dan analisis regresi linear sederhana digunakan untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel.  Hasil penelitian diperoleh terdapat pengaruh positif kemampuan HOTS terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa.   ABSTRACT Students have varying thinking abilities, making it essential to teach critical thinking skills, especially in mathematics. Students possess different levels of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), which also affects their essential mathematical thinking abilities. This study aims to determine the influence of HOTS on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. The research problem is whether HOTS positively influences students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. This study employs a quantitative approach with an Ex Post Facto research design. The population of this study consists of 7th-grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare. The sample includes 26 students from class VII.4 at UPTD SMP Negeri 4 Parepare, selected using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research instrument is a descriptive test consisting of three questions on One-Variable Linear Equations (PLSV) to assess students' HOTS and mathematical critical thinking abilities. The data collection technique used is a test. Data analysis involves inferential statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and simple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between the variables. The study's results indicate a positive influence of HOTS on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to evaluate the strategy for preparing teaching modules in the Independent Curriculum for elementary school teachers in Gugus X Parepare. The background to this research focuses on the importance of teaching modules as the main instrument in effective and efficient learning, which can support teachers in implementing the Independent Curriculum better. Quality teaching modules not only function as a guide for teachers, but also play a role in developing 21st century skills in students, such as critical thinking and creativity. This research method uses a community service approach which includes four stages: observation and planning, implementation, mentoring, as well as evaluation and follow-up. At the observation stage, needs were identified and objectives formulated through in-depth interviews with teachers. The implementation phase involved direct training attended by 84 elementary school teachers in Gugus X Parepare, with a focus on preparing teaching modules and implementation strategies for the Independent Curriculum. At the mentoring stage, teachers are guided in preparing teaching modules that are relevant to student needs and the local context. The evaluation stage includes collecting input, analyzing results, and planning follow-up actions to improve the teaching module. The research results show that this activity was successful in increasing teachers' understanding and skills in designing teaching modules that are in accordance with the Independent Curriculum. In this way, it is hoped that the quality of learning at Gugus X Parepare can improve significantly. Keywords: Independent Curriculum, Teaching Modules, Training, Basic Education

Abstract

Kurikulum Merdeka merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia dengan memberikan fleksibilitas dalam penyampaian materi ajar dan mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dan kontekstual. Implementasi kurikulum merdeka di berbagai satuan pendidikan, termasuk di UPT SMAN 10 Pinrang memiliki tantangan dalam pengimplementasianya. Salah satu tantangan utamanya adalah kurangnya pemahaman mendalam atau pengetahuan yang memadai dari para guru terkait materi pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka, seperti pembelajaran berdeferensiasi, Profil pelajar pancasila (P5), dan pengembangan modul ajar. Dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu guru di SMAN 10 Pinrang, Mahasiswa PPG Prajabatan Gelombang 1 Tahun 2024 berkolaborasi dengan UPT SMAN 10 Pinrang mengadakan Pelatihan dan workshop terkait kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan mutu guru dalam implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di UPT SMAN 10 Pinrang. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahap: observasi, perencanaan, dan pelaksanaan. Ketercapaian tujuan kegiatan diukur melalui hasil angket respon peserta seminar pendidikan dengan 3 item pernyataan yang dibagikan melalui link. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan yang diberikan mampu meningkatkan kesiapan guru dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Anak merupakan salah satu sumber daya manusia yang memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam kehidupan bangsa sehingga mereka harus mendapat perhatian khusus berupa pembinaan dan perlindungan terutama anak kurang mampu. Oleh karena itu, Rumah Belajar Cinta Damai mengambil andil untuk memberikan pembinaan kepada anak di beberapa lokasi di Parepare. Namun, ada beberapa permasalahan yang muncul dalam lingkungan lokasi binaan ini yakni etika anak binaan tersebut sangat memprihatinkan dan berasal dari latar belakang keluarga yang kurang mampu. Oleh karena itu, dilaksanakan program pemberdayaan anak binaan Rumah Belajar Cinta Damai. Metode yang digunakan terdiri atas 4 tahap yaitu tahap investigasi kebutuhan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi program. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu soft skill dan hard skill anak terbentuk yang meliputi kemampuan literasi anak meningkat, membentuk karakter positif, jiwa kreatif dan kewirausahaan anak terbangun. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan program tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa pemberdayaan anak binaan melalui program pengabdian masyarakat sangatlah penting karena memiliki potensi untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup anak secara menyeluruh.

Abstract

Abstrak Pengabdian ini memiliki tujuan dalam mengelola kompetensi guru dalam menyiapkan perangkat ajar berupa modul ajar dalam kurikulum merdeka. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yakni kualitatif dengan metode pengabdian yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dan pendampingan. Pelatihan dalam penelitian ini memberikan mentoring kepada peserta yakni guru guru dalam memberikan materi penyusunan modul ajar lalu mentoring tentang penyusunan modul ajar dengan materi kebutuhan gaya belajar peserta didik. Hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya pelatihan dan pendampingan ini efektif dalam meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam menyusun modul ajar. Pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di SD/MI, SMP/MTs, dan SMA/MA se-Kecamatan Suppa Kabupaten Pinrang. Modul ajar yang kontekstual dan efektif dapat membantu peserta didik untuk belajar dengan lebih bermakna dan mencapai tujuan yang optimal. Abstract

This workshop aims to provide a platform for Mathematics teachers in Parepare City to develop their skills in designing teaching modules integrated with deep learning approaches using AI technology. The activity is organized by Pre-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG) students from Cohort 2 of 2024 at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Parepare, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Culture of Parepare City and the Mathematics MGMP (Subject Teacher Forum) for junior high schools across the city. The method used in this workshop includes hands-on sessions, discussions, and Q&A with expert speakers. The workshop was attended by 37 teachers, reflecting active participation and enthusiasm, indicating a strong motivation among the teachers to enhance their skills. The materials presented included direct application demonstrations on how to create teaching modules using AI technology, allowing the teachers to apply the knowledge directly on their own laptops.

Abstract

Difficulties developing higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) in mathematics education represent a persistent and significant challenge in educational practice. These skills, such as analysis, evaluation, and creation, are essential for students to succeed in complex problem-solving and adapt to the evolving demands of the 21st century. This study assesses how effectively structured metacognitive training improves high school students' mathematical HOTS. The research employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design involving 72 students from a senior high school in Indonesia, divided into two groups: an experimental group (n=36) that received metacognitive training over one semester, and a control group (n=36) that did not receive any intervention. The primary outcome measure was HOTS scores, assessed through standardized pre-test and post-test instruments designed to evaluate students' higher-order thinking in mathematics. ANCOVA results revealed a significant effect of the metacognitive intervention on HOTS post-test scores (F=44.36; p<0.001; ηp²=0.391), even after controlling for pre-test performance. The experimental group exhibited substantially greater HOTS improvements than the control group. These results prove that structured metacognitive training is an effective pedagogical strategy for fostering advanced mathematical thinking. The findings hold significant implications for curriculum designers, educators, and policymakers aiming to improve mathematics instruction, particularly within the Indonesian context. Future studies involving larger sample sizes, diverse school settings, and longitudinal follow-up are recommended to validate and extend the impact of this intervention.
