Abstract

Pimpinan tertinggi di dalam struktur organisasi sekolah ialah kepala sekolah tentunya memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan dalam menentukan arah kebijakan peningkatan kompetensi sekolah. Kehadiran kepala sekolah sangat penting karena merupakan motor  penggerak bagi sumber daya sekolah terutama guru, karyawan, dan anak didik.  Begitu besarnya peranan sekolah dalam proses pencapaian tujuan pendidikan. Dalam menjalankan manajemen pendidikan, SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak dalam menjalankan manajemen  pendidikan berpedoman/mengacu kepada delapan standar pendidikan nasional. Dalam Penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Dengan keprofesionalan kepala sekolah, diharapkan pengembangan profesionalisme tenaga kependidikan mudah dilakukan karena sesuai dengan fungsinya. Dalam Penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. instrumen yang peneliti gunakan adalah obeservasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. teknik yaitu secara Non Probability Sampling (Purposive sampling degan teknik snowball sampling. Dalam menentukan kebenaran penelitian maka perlu dilakukan uji validitas, uji validitas yang digunakan peneliti adalah triangulasi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini Menajemen yang di terapkan oleh sekolah telah mengacu pada Standart Pendidikan Nasional (SNP) secara efektif

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country that has many ethnicities and cultures. This makes Indonesia very vulnerable to inter-ethnic or inter-religious conflicts. To avoid this conflict, tolerance is needed in maintaining harmony between religious communities. One of the areas where there is conflict between religious communities in Tanjungbalai City, as a result of the problem of mosque loudspeakers (Toa) in the holy month of Ramadan. A resident who is a Buddhist, named Meliana who feels disturbed by the reading of the holy Qur'an at the time of tadarusan on the night of the holy month of Ramadan. The cause of conflict is due to poor communication between religious communities. In this case, the theory used in this research is the concept of cross-cultural communication and inter-cultural conflict by Samovar and Littlejohn & Domenici. Then also used the concept of social interaction from Gillin and Gillin. This research was conducted using a qualitative case study method and with the aim of looking for cross-cultural communication such as what happened between Muslims and Buddhists when the conflict occurred at that time. Based on this research, it was found that there was acculturation between Muslims and Buddhists. This acculturation indicates that the interaction formed between the two religious groups is an associative interaction pattern, so that there is no conflict as in other areas. Abstract

This study aims to describe and understand the pattern of cross-cultural communication of Santri at Darul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School and the obstacles experienced by Santri in communicating cross-culturally with other Santri. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach in order to obtain broader and more in-depth information about the matters being discussed in this research. Techniques used in data collection include field observations, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman, namely: data reduction, data presentation and verification or conclusions. The results of this study indicate that cross-cultural communication is a process of exchanging thoughts and meanings between people of different cultures. When this communication occurs between people of different origins, between ethnic groups (interethnical), racial groups (interracial) or language communication (intercommunal) it is called cross-cultural communication. Cross-cultural communication from members of different cultures plays a role in human behavior, for example, the behavior of students from outside the region conforms to the local culture, so that students from outside the region behave according to the local culture. Abstract

The emergence of religion makes ancestral traditions used as a medium for delivering da'wah messages. When Islam entered the archipelago, the kenduri tradition was used as a medium of da'wah in conveying Islamic messages, because the kenduri tradition was very strong in society. Therefore, in this study, researchers tried to explore how the kenduri tradition became a medium of da'wah in spreading Islamic teachings in Javanese society. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique was carried out by means of a study library by finding studies related to culture as a propaganda strategy, case studies of Javanese Kenduri culture, as well as observation by directly observing the kenduri procession in Sijambi Village. The results of the study show that there are four da'wah messages in the death feast tradition of Sijambi village. First, the verbal delivery of da'wah messages in the death feast tradition is found in the procession of reading tayyibah sentences, tasbih, dhikr and prayer readings. Second, the delivery of da'wah messages through nonverbal language. Third, the provision of food and drink is intended as a form of alms from the deceased in the hope of blessing from Allah SWT. Fourth, the da'wah messages contained in the Kenduri tradition of the Sijambi Village community are the values ​​of unity and friendship between fellow communities. Abstract

This study aims to produce and determine the effectiveness of interactive material for writing non-literary texts based on flipbooks for class X students of MAN 2 Langkat. This research is a Research and Development (RnD) research using the ADDIE development model. There are three subjects in this development research. The first, validators consist of two material experts and two design experts. The four validators are Postgraduate Lecturers at Medan State University. Second, two teachers of Indonesian subjects. And the last are the students of class X MAN 2 Langkat totalled 96 people from three different classes, namely X MIA, X IIS, and X IIA. The data collection instruments used were in the form of a teacher needs analysis questionnaire, a student needs analysis questionnaire, a material and media expert validation sheet, a teacher validation sheet, and a student response sheet. Individual trials obtained "good" criteria with an average percentage of 88.5%. The small group trial obtained the criteria of "very good" with an average percentage of 89.8%. The wider trial obtained the criteria of "very good" with an average percentage of 89.5%. The effectiveness of the interactive material for writing non-literary texts based on flipbooks developed shows higher student learning outcomes with an average pre-test score of 73.4% with the lowest score being 62, and the highest score being 82. While the post-test average score -test is 86.7% with the lowest score is 75 and the highest score is 94. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the interactive material for writing non-literary texts based on flipbooks is effective and can improve student learning outcomes, especially in writing non-literary texts.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that the descriptive text material in the teaching materials used by the teacher does not explain the material in depth, causing difficulties for students in learning descriptive text which does not achieve achievement indicators that are in accordance with basic competencies. This study aims to develop descriptive text material in the form of a digital magazine with the help of a flipbook application to make it easier for students to learn descriptive text and can be used in the learning process to make it more effective and efficient. The subjects in this study were class VII - 8 students of SMP Negeri 35 Medan, expert validators of instructional media design and material expert validators. The object of this research is Teaching Materials of Description Texts in the Form of Digital Magazines Assisted by Flipbook Applications in class VII students. This type of research is carried out by R&D (Research and Development) by applying the Borg and Gall development model. The developed product is validated by material experts and media experts to test the feasibility of the product being developed. The score obtained for the material validation results was 80% in the "good" category and the score obtained for the design validation was 83% in the "very good" category. Based on the results of this validation, it can be concluded that the product developed is declared feasible for use in the learning process.  Keywords: Development, Teaching Materials, Description Text.

Abstract

This study attempts to explore the system approach in school entrepreneurship management in Vocational High Schools (VHS). Although the government has made attempts to promote entrepreneurship, little progress has been made. Thus, it is possible to observe how the approach of running educational institutions with the idea of entrepreneurship is encouraging for schools and students to make the most of their potential. This qualitative study included five Vocational High Schools implementing the entrepreneurship-based school program and the data was collected via documentation. The data analysis activity was carried out throughout the research activity, and the most core activities include data simplification, data display and conclusions drawing. This study revealed that the system approach of developing school entrepreneurship in Vocational High Schools included the preparation stage (P), the planning stage (P), implementation stage (I), and the marketing stage (M). In order to develop an entrepreneurship-based school, the school must overcome a number of challenges, including external partners issues, funding issues, human resources issues, infrastructure issues, marketing issues, and momentum issues.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the process of developing fable text teaching materials based on animated video assisted by the KineMaster Pro application, describe the product form of animated video based fable text teaching materials assisted by the KineMaster Pro application, and analyze the feasibility of fable text teaching materials based on animated videos assisted by the KineMaster Pro application. The development model used in this study is the Borg and Gall model which has ten steps but was modified by researchers into five steps namely, potential and problem, data collection, product design, design validation, and product revision. The research subjects used were 38 class VII students at SMP Swasta YPK Medan. While the object of his research is fable text material based on animated videos assisted by the KineMaster Pro application. Researchers used data collection techniques by interviewing techers and giving questionnaires in the form of questionnaires to students. The research instruments is in the form of a validation questionnaire sheet for material experts and media experts calculated using a likert scale. Data analysis used quantitative and qualitative. The results showed that the product of teaching materials for fable text based on video animation assisted by the KineMaster Pro application obtained a value of 85% from material experts in the “very good” category. While the results of media experts validation obtained a value of 90% in the “very good” category. So it can be stated that the product is very feasible to use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of video scribe-based learning media on the results of student scores on fable text writing material for class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Medan. The research location was carried out at SMP Negeri 7 Medan. When the research was carried out in the even semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The subjects in this study were selected based on a purposive sampling technique, namely Indonesian language teachers and class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Medan. The object of this research is a form of social situation. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. In this study, observation and documentation were used to collect data. This study uses descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques to analyze the data in the form of describing the process of the stages of video scribe media carried out by the teacher and describing the results of students' scores in writing fable texts after implementing video scribe media. Based on the results of the study after implementing video scribe media it was found that the results of the scores of 30 students, three students got a score of 75, three students got a score of 78.1, seven students got a score of 81.2, seven students got a score of 84.3, six students got a score of 87.5, three students got a score 90.6, one student scored 93.7.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the Cooperative Learning Model Type Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Aided by Audiovisual Media on the Ability to Write Explanatory Texts in Class VIII of SMP Amir Hamzah Medan on the ability to write explanatory texts in Class VIII Students of SMP Amir Hamzah Medan . The population in this study were all class VIII students of Amir Hamzah Private Middle School Medan in the 2022/2023 academic year, totaling 47 people consisting of 2 classes, while the sample used was 25 students, determined by random sampling technique. The research method used is a quantitative experimental method. The instrument in this study was a writing test of explanatory text which was assessed based on the content, text structure, and language conventions of the explanatory text. The average score obtained by students before applying learning with the Cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by audiovisual media was 61.68, while the average value obtained by students after using the assisted Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type of Cooperative learning model audiovisual media, namely 79.68. So, it can be concluded that the test scores after applying the Cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type assisted by audiovisual media are higher than before. The results of data analysis in testing the hypothesis show that tcount = 4.28, then looking at the t table, the significance level is 5%, and df = N – 1 = 25 – 1 = 24, it is obtained ttable = 1.71. Because the obtained tcount is greater than ttable, namely 4.28> 1.71, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis Ha is accepted.
