Abstract

The science of Islamic education is not just the science of Islamic education, but the science of Islamic education, namely a systematic description of Islamic teachings regarding various aspects and components of education. Thus, knowledge of Islamic teachings regarding education can also be said to be part of the science of Islamic education. So Islamic education is the science of Islamic education, or the science of education from an Islamic perspective. Efforts to integrate general education with Islamic values cannot be separated from scientific universality which must be applied in the learning process without prioritizing scientific independence (looking for differences). The integration of Islamic education includes: First, the integrity of the Islamic value framework in each subject group is integrated as a whole (integral-holisitk). Second, the diversity of models, methods and integrated approaches with Islamic values as a normative framework can be used as a new perspective for educators in implementing the learning process. So that learning leads to the process of being a leader (being able to choose which ball to pick up) and a manager (knowing how to manage the ball) without being separated from the framework of Islamic values. Third, the integration of education implementation requires that the values of Islamic education in learning at school be applied in an integrated manner with the needs of society and families.

Abstract

Dental health among school-aged children is a critical issue that directly impacts quality of life and academic achievement. This article examines models for integrating dental health education into school curricula in Indonesia and other countries to formulate effective strategies for the national context. The methodology involves a literature review with an international comparative study approach. The analysis reveals that countries such as Finland, Japan, Malaysia, and New Zealand have successfully implemented relevant, effective, and sustainable intervention models. Abstract

Vision is foundational to children’s learning and development, yet millions of school-aged children suffer from undiagnosed or untreated vision problems. Despite the critical role of vision in academic achievement, eye health is rarely integrated into school curricula globally. This study presents a systematic literature review of recent evidence (2020–2024) on the integration of eye health into educational curricula, analyzing models, stakeholder roles, barriers, and measurable impacts. Using PRISMA guidelines, 35 peer-reviewed articles were selected through searches on Scopus, PubMed, ERIC, and Google Scholar. Thematic analysis was conducted to identify dominant trends across curriculum integration models, educator and optometrist roles, policy constraints, and outcomes. Findings reveal that integrated models where eye health is embedded into science or health subjects enhance students’ knowledge and behavior. Teachers trained in basic visual screening significantly improve early detection. Cross-sector collaboration between health and education authorities boosts sustainability. Key barriers include policy misalignment, funding gaps, and cultural beliefs about eyewear. Programs in India, Australia, and South Africa show strong outcomes in literacy improvement, academic gains, and cost-effectiveness. Integrating eye health into education is not merely a health intervention but a strategic investment in equity and academic potential. Policymakers must prioritize vision care within school health frameworks by empowering educators, engaging optometrists, and contextualizing approaches to local needs.

Abstract

The wellbeing of medical students has emerged as a critical issue within medical education. High academic demands, prolonged study hours, and competitive environments contribute significantly to psychological distress, including depression, anxiety, and burnout. This systematic literature review synthesizes findings from 48 peer-reviewed studies published between January 2021 and April 2025 to explore the psychological, academic, and social determinants of wellbeing among medical students. Results indicate that maladaptive perfectionism, lack of emotional regulation, and inadequate support systems are key risk factors. Technological interventions, such as mobile-based mindfulness training and online counseling platforms, offer promising but limited solutions unless integrated into broader institutional frameworks. The review concludes by proposing a multidimensional model that combines curriculum reform, psychological resilience training, structured social support, and ethical use of technology to promote holistic student wellbeing.

Abstract

The purpose of this literature study research is to evaluate the effect of Game-based learning (GBL) in improving students' learning motivation by analyzing the concept of GBL, reviewing relevant motivation theories, and assessing findings from previous studies on the impact of GBL on students' learning motivation. This type of research is a literature study. Literature study is a research method that aims to collect, analyze, and interpret various sources of information relevant to the topic or problem being studied. Game-based learning (GBL) is an educational approach that integrates game elements to create interactive and enjoyable learning experiences, increasing student engagement and motivation. This concept includes the use of game mechanisms such as challenges, points, and rewards to support educational goals, and can be applied in both digital and non-digital formats. GBL has the potential to improve learning motivation by reducing boredom, increasing intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and strengthening social and cooperation skills. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between the application of the 7E Learning Cycle model and improving elementary school students' critical thinking skills through literature study. Using the literature study method, this research examines publications from relevant national and international journals, focusing on the keywords "7E Learning Cycle Model" and "Primary School Students' Critical Thinking Skills." The research results show that the Learning Cycle 7E model is an effective learning approach in improving students' critical thinking skills. Through each stage, students are given the opportunity to explore, analyze and evaluate information in depth. Interactive activities and the use of relevant learning media support the development of skills needed to face future challenges. This research emphasizes the importance of implementing the 7E Learning Cycle model in the educational curriculum, creating a collaborative and constructivist learning environment, so that students are better prepared to become critical thinkers who contribute positively to society
