Abstract

Gudang middle mile memiliki fungsi sebagai penghubung antara first mile dan last mile delivery [1]. Sebagai Gudang middle mile Palembang adalah Gudang besar penghubung untuk daerah sumatera selatan, Gudang ini memiliki SLA KPI yang kurang baik selama bulan November 2021- januari 2021 yaitu late picking, sending dan sorting sebanyak 2870 AWB. Setelah dilakukn define menggunakan Value Stream Mapping dan improvement menggunakan pendekatan re-layout dan Job leveling maka didapatkan perbaikan kesalahan yang terjadi pada bulan februari-april 2022 yaitu sebanyak 289 AWB. Dari hasil Value stream mapping future state didapatkan total waktu proses yang lebih baik setelah dilakukan perbaikan dengan menggunakan re-layout dan job leveling. Selain itu dalam penelitian didapatkan jika terdapat optimalisasi kebutuhan man power yang sebelumnya sebanyak lima orang menjadi empat orang.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi dinamika bisnis yang cepat dan kompleks, Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di sektor percetakan di Kota Palembang perlu mengadopsi pendekatan yang inovatif untuk meningkatkan daya saingnya. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat diaplikasikan adalah Continuous Improvement atau Kaizen. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menggali lebih dalam mengenai penerapan Kaizen pada industi UMKM percetakan di Kota Palembang serta mengidentifikasi dampaknya terhadap kinerja dan keberlanjutan usaha. Melalui metode penelitian yang komprehensif, kami menganalisis praktik Kaizen yang diterapkan oleh UMKM percetakan, mulai dari konsep dasar hingga implementasi di lapangan. Fokus utama penelitian mencakup proses perbaikan yang dilakukan, kendala yang dihadapi, serta manfaat yang diperoleh oleh UMKM percetakan tersebut. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan jika sebelum dilakukan sosialisasi KAIZEN terhadap karyawan dan proses bisnis percetakan ditemukan lamanya proses pelayanan dan penyelsaian pesanan serta memberikan pengetahuan dasar tentang penerapan KAIZEN serta manfaatnya bagi industri UMKM percetakan ini.

Abstract

KD parts warehouse is a transit and connection place before the KD parts (Knock Down) car’s body and material from Automotive manufacturing, to export destination in several countries or destination. The faster the warehouse operation process will make the company's export performance better. This research aims to reduce NVA and NNVA activities' concern in warehouse KD operations in Japanese automotive manufacturers in Cikarang. The application of lean thinking with the VSM (Value Stream Mapping) approach eliminates the waste of activities and processes in the KD warehouse. From the CVSM and PMA (Process Mapping Analysis) results, the work efficiency is 63%, with NVA time of 244.5 minutes and an NNVA time of 471 minutes. In the future state map, the work efficiency becomes 82% due to kaizen improvement, re-layout, and process redesign in the warehouse, with the total NVA become zero and NNVA reduce to 177 minutes.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to reduce defect rates and enhance operational efficiency in the cup beverage production process using the Six Sigma DMAIC methodology. Methodology: The research applies the DMAIC framework (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) to identify key defect causes and implement process improvements. Results: The application of Six Sigma DMAIC significantly reduced defect rates, as evidenced by improved Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) metrics. Findings: The study demonstrates the effectiveness of Six Sigma in improving process quality and reducing waste, leading to better operational performance and customer satisfaction. Originality: This research uniquely applies Six Sigma in the cup beverage production sector, showcasing its adaptability to this industry. Novelty: While Six Sigma has been widely used in various industries, its implementation in beverage production remains underexplored, making this study a valuable contribution. Conclusions: The Six Sigma DMAIC methodology effectively reduces defects, enhances process efficiency, and increases customer satisfaction. Type of Paper: Empirical research paper.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan sebagai bagian dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa, dewan guru, dan kepala sekolah di SMK Taman Siswa Palembang tentang pentingnya teknologi Industri 4.0. Dalam kegiatan ini, seminar dan penyuluhan yang dipandu oleh dosen Fakultas Teknik Universitas Tridinanti memperkenalkan teknologi-teknologi kunci seperti pencetakan 3D dan perangkat lunak IoT. Fenomena yang diamati menunjukkan antusiasme yang tinggi dari para peserta, namun juga mengungkapkan tantangan signifikan seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan kebutuhan akan pelatihan lebih lanjut bagi tenaga pengajar. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan seminar dan penyuluhan berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman peserta terhadap teknologi Industri 4.0, namun untuk implementasi yang lebih efektif diperlukan dukungan tambahan dalam hal sumber daya dan pengembangan kurikulum yang berbasis proyek. Kesimpulannya, meskipun tantangan ada, SMK Taman Siswa Palembang memiliki potensi besar untuk mengintegrasikan teknologi ini dalam pendidikan kejuruan, asalkan didukung oleh komitmen berkelanjutan dari semua pihak terkait

Abstract

Purpose: This study was conducted on a housing project in Type 36 Housing using the Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) approach. The objective of this research was to achieve a more effective project timeline and a more efficient total project cost. Methodology: By eliminating 50% of the safety time, the method minimizes the safe time to achieve a 50% probability of completion without additional safety time using Critical Chain Project Management or CCPM in this project. Results: This approach results in a reduction of the project completion time from the original 18 working days to 15 working days. Additionally, this implementation leads to cost savings, with the calculated daily cost amounting to Rp.10,907,170.03. Through the application of Critical Chain Project Management, a 4-day Feeding Buffer and an 11-day Project Buffer were established. As a result, the completion time for the Type 36 house construction is reduced to 15 days, which is 3 days shorter than the initial project schedule of 18. Conclusions: The use of the Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) method in the Type 36 house construction project reduces the completion time from 18 days to 15 days, with a 4-day Feeding Buffer and an 11-day Project Buffer. The Cut & Paste method reduces 50% of safety time, preventing cost overruns. As a result, the daily project cost is Rp 10,907,170.03. Limitations: This analyzing just focus on critical process but not for opportunity job can be reduce for more improvement. And this research only focus in Construction Project. Contribution: This research can be use for practical in the project that have critical job need to prepare and control to achive project target, with cost reduction for Rp.10,907,170.03 and project time reduction for 3 days.

Abstract

Efficiency within a company must be enhanced to maintain competitiveness and business sustainability, particularly in logistics firms. In logistics processes, minimizing costs is a critical indicator of operational efficiency. This study applies optimization through linear programming to a cross-dock company characterized by fluctuating demand, focusing on a fast-moving product. The analysis begins by calculating the minimum and maximum demand based on twice the standard deviation from the mean, followed by determining the optimal scenarios for each depot. The results indicate that, for the eight depots, the majority of the truck selection involved using single-axle trucks. Consequently, the total cost from the first to the seventh week was Rp. 1,785,000,000, while the LP simulation results indicated a total cost of Rp. 1,214,000,000, representing a potential cost saving of Rp. 554,000,000. Abstract

FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) adalah metode yang digunakan untuk mencegah kegagalan dalam proses atau sistem. Dalam lima tahun terakhir, penggunaan FMEA terus berkembang, namun belum banyak kajian yang memetakan tren dan arah penelitiannya secara menyeluruh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan bibliometrik untuk menganalisis publikasi tentang FMEA dari tahun 2020 hingga 2025. Data diambil dari database Scopus, lalu dianalisis dengan Bibliometrix (RStudio) dan VOSviewer untuk melihat tren penulis, negara, serta kata kunci yang sering digunakan. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan jumlah publikasi secara signifikan, dengan kontribusi besar dari negara seperti Tiongkok dan India. Beberapa penulis, seperti Ni Q. dan Ji J.C., tercatat paling banyak disitasi. Selain itu, tren menunjukkan bahwa FMEA kini banyak diintegrasikan dengan metode lain seperti Lean dan Six Sigma. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran ringkas namun bermanfaat tentang arah dan perkembangan riset FMEA terkini.

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia industri perakitan mobil saat ini terus berkembang sesuai dengan perkembangan industri 4.0. Dimana proses perencanaan dan pengerjaan secara perancangan akan menggunakan software pembantu. Adapun software pembantu yang biasa digunakan dalam perkembangan industri perakitan mobil adalah packing engineering, transport engineering dan warehouse engineering. Agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan dari pasar kerja penambahan pengetahuan ini sangat diperlukan sehingga didapatkannya pemenuhan lulusan dari peruruan tinggi dengan kemampuan yang memadai dengan perkembangan teknologi logistik di industri perakitan mobil.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), such as angkringan in Palembang City, face the challenge of enhancing product and service quality to meet rising customer expectations. Addressing this challenge is essential for maintaining competitiveness and ensuring business sustainability. This study aims to apply Quality Function Deployment (QFD) as a method to help angkringan MSMEs improve customer satisfaction and enhance business agility. By employing both qualitative and quantitative approaches, QFD is integrated into the angkringan's business processes. This involves identifying customer needs, translating these needs into specific product characteristics, and aligning them with production processes. The House of Quality (HoQ) analysis identifies several key areas for improvement, such as expanding the customer parking area, increasing seating capacity, and diversifying food product offerings. Implementing these recommendations is expected to make the angkringan a preferred choice among loyal customers, even as new angkringans emerge in Palembang.
