Abstract

Kedungsumur village is one of the villages in the Krembung Sub-district of Sidoarjo Regency which has problems with the provision of clean water. Since 2014 the Kedungsumur village has received assistance from the local government in the form of deep wells to meet the needs of clean water. The clean water supply system is then managed by an agency called the Management Agency for Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities (MAWSSF) Tirto Wening. As time went by, the number of MAWSSF Tirto Wening clean water customers continued to increase which caused difficulties for administrators to recap their income and monthly expenses. In addition, the BP SPAMS management did not know the direction of the target to be achieved the following year. By this meeting, through the community partnership program from Kemenristekdikti, will provide science and technology assistance to improve the MAWSSF and at the same time provide an overview through simulation of future income and expenditure by using data pre-existing data. The results of this community partnership program show that customer identification in the form of tables has specified the address, the last date of payment, and the total volume of clean water usage, the number of customers until June 2018 there are 234 new customers, and the simulation results show that in January 2018 the board Manager of Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities (MAWSSF) Tirto Wening has been able to affix a profit of Rp.4,560,000.00.

Abstract

The existence of waste in the environment, especially household waste needs to be addressed by waste management using a simple method, namely waste sorting. The training in this community service aims to: (1) Increase the knowledge of the community of Kedung Sumur Village regarding household waste management. (2) Empowering the community in sorting household waste. The target audience of PPM activities is Mr. and Housewives in Kedungsumur Village as many as 35 people. The PPM activity method uses the lecture method and question and answer discussion. The steps of PPM activities are lectures to explain the concept of the environment, classification of waste, types of organic waste, types of inorganic waste, examples of sorted waste bins. To measure the level of understanding, questionnaire analysis was carried out by the participants. Overall service activities can be said to be good and successful, seen from the success of the target number of trainees (> 100%), the activeness of participants in discussion sessions (> 50%), and the ability of participants in mastering the material seen from the results of the questionnaire, where > 80% participants successfully answered correctly > 5 questions for each category of questions.

Abstract

Waste has become material considered useless anymore. The rate of waste generation continually increase along with the increase of population, making it increasingly threaten the environment. This situation has been exacerbated by the poor handling of the government and society towards waste. Management of waste sources has become an alternative that can be used to handle the waste problem. The community service program has been carried out in the village of Medalem, Tulangan, Sidoarjo to overcome the occurring of waste problem. The public understanding and awareness of waste issues has been improved through the explanation of material, direct practice and the discussion how to process and sort the household waste. The material that has been explained, includes the waste, the classification of the waste based on its nature, and how to manage waste. It was found out that the Community Service program has improved the public understanding of waste, it was shown that more than 65% of participants had answered the questions correctly. The results of the analysis showed that the public attitude and behavior towards waste problems was good. It was supported by the presence of waste facilities that have been provided by the Village Devices.

Abstract

The population of Sidoarjo Regency with a relatively high number and growth rate has consequences for the increase of waste produced volume. Increasing of volume waste is directly proportional to the increase in population, meaning that amount of waste produced is increasing (organic and inorganic waste). The TPA center in one of the garbage collection locations in Sidoarjo Regency has exceeded capacity (overload). This research was conducted with the aim of describing initial model of the distribution of waste used, evaluating initial performance model of waste distribution in Sidoarjo Regency, and providing recommendations to propose improvements in the waste distribution model used. The method applied in this study was using simulation. Based on the simulation results, the Third Scenario proposed the route with the most efficient distance, this affected the vehicle's operational time and the operational costs needed. Abstract

Transportation problem is just like inventory, this is an activity in logistics area. This activity is possible to make some production in one place and to consume them in another place. The aim of this research were to evaluate the existing network distribution model performance and to provide sugestions to proper the networkdistribution model used. The applied metode to achieve the goal was Nearest Neighbor Algorithm. The results were: (a) Distance saving was 538,2 Km or 26,59%, (b)Distribution time of product could be reduced to 9,37 hours or 19,07%, (c) Fuel cost could be reduced to 403.650 rupiahs or 26,59%, (d) Driver and assistance cost could be saved to 272.850 rupiahs or 4,5%, and (f) Total of distribution cost could be saved to 676.500 rupiahs or 25,71%. Keywords: Logistics, Distribution, Nearest Neighborhod, Distance, Cost.

Abstract

Product distribution problem becomes an important topic in a company transportation system. PT Amanah Prima Indonesia (API), a company that focuses on national-scalejuice production. With the sum of scattered consumers in Semarang, it is necessary a solution in the products distribution to obtain operational efficiency. The method used is Nearest Neighborh Algorithm. The results obtained are: (a) The total distance traveled by the truck results in a distance savings of 144.20 Km or 40.06%, (b) The time of product distribution can be reduced for 5.15 hours or by 30.31%, (c) The savings of fuel cost resulted Rp.108,150,- or 40.06%, (, d) There is no difference cost for the driver and partner, which is Rp.600,000, and (e) Total savings for product distribution cost obtained of Rp.108,150, - or 12.43%. Keywords: Cost, VRP, Transportation.

Abstract

Pond is one place that is used as a place to cultivate fish, shrimp, and other aquatic animals that can live in brackish water. Changes in water quality upstream and downstream of the pond due to pollutants may affect the ecological balance of waters. Pollutants can be determined by two simple parameters, the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD). While the ability to break down pollutants (biodegradability) can be determined using the ratio of BOD/COD. BOD analysis using the Winkler titration method, whereas the COD analysis using titrimetric method. The value of BOD, COD, and the ratio of BOD/COD in the upstream area is 28.00 mg/L, 60.00 mg/L, and 0,467 respectively. While the value of BOD, COD, and the ratio of BOD/COD in the downstream area is 20.00 mg/L, 43.00 mg/L, and 0.465 respectively. Ratio BOD/COD obtained show that the organic pollutants in the pond is biodegradable.
