Abstract

This research is motivated by the observations that have been made. There are still many passive students during classroom learning who are not confident in making decisions and issuing opinions during learning. Students do not understand the norms and rules in PKN lessons in the school environment, and students are still not polite in their daily lives, so the researcher intends to conduct research in Class V of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Cirebon City so that PKN learning outcomes can be improved. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) methodology. The researcher chose the Kemmis and McTaggart model of classroom action research because the research model is simple, easy to implement, and considered according to the researcher's ability. Improvement of learning outcomes in norms and rules material, namely from the aspect and aspect of student comfort in groups, as well as friends to discuss. According to the results of the research on pre-cycle learning activities, the percentage of student learning outcomes is only 40%, or 10 students with a minimum criterion that is not good. After improvements were made in the first cycle, it increased to 56%, or 14 students with good criteria. Even in the improvement of learning that had been carried out in the second cycle, it increased to reach 80%, or 20 students with good criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya tindakan bullying yang terjadi di sekolah yang dilakuakan oleh siswa terhadap temanya. Perilaku bullying dapat memberikan dampak negatif bagi korban dan pelakunya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak dari perilaku bullying terhadap karakter siswa di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dari sumber data primer yaitu guru, kepala sekolah dan siswa sebagai korban dan pelaku, dari sumber sekunder yaitu jurnal. data diperoleh menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode pengumpulan data mengganakan redukasi, penyajian dan kesimpulan untuk menganalisis sumber data. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa dampak bullying terhadap karakter siswa di sekolah dasar yaitu dampak perilaku bullying yang terjadi di sekolah dasar dapat mempengaruhi karakter pada korban dan pelaku bullying pelaku bullying lebih menunjukan sikap yang kurang bertanggungjawab sebagai siswa karena menjadi siswa yang pemalas, kurang disiplin dan jarang untuk berangkat ke sekolah, tidak pernah mengerjakan tugas-tugas sekolah, cenderung menjadi siswa yang mempunyai emosional tinggi dan perkataan yang kasar. Sedangkan korban bullying menunjukan sikap pendendam, pendiam, kurangnya rasa percaya diri, menurunya prestasi belajar, serta sulit mengontrol atau mengendalikan emosi.

Abstract

Learning activities are designed to provide new experiences and provide learning for students, to build mental and physical through interactions between students, teachers and the school environment and other learning resources, in order to achieve basic competencies. Teachers are the determining factor for the level of success in classroom learning. Some teachers still use classic and undeveloped learning methods, so that it affects the results that are less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of Indonesian language learning with storybook media on reading comprehension of grade III students at SDN 1 Kalibuntu. This research design uses the one group research method where the research is conducted with one class. The research was conducted at SDN 1 Kalibuntu on grade III students with a sample size of 26 students. In the even semester, the researcher conducted a study which began by giving an initial test (pretest) and then applying the Indonesian language learning method using storybook media and after that the final test (posttest) was carried out. The results of this study show a sig value (2-Tailed) of 0.000 while the significance level is 5% or 0.05 or sig value <0.05 then H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that learning Indonesian using storybook media has a significant effect on students' reading comprehension skills in class III at SDN 1 Kalibuntu.

Abstract

Tujuan akhir proses pendidikan nasional adalah peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut upaya strategis yang perlu dilakukan adalah meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini mengenai fungsi komunikasi yang diperankan oleh para warga belajar dan tutor, pada Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM). Fokus penelitian adalah bentuk komunikasi formal dan informal, yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Cipageran Kecamatan Cimahi Utara Kota Cimahi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengonstruksi pola komunikasi baik formal maupun informal di dalam PKBM khususnya di Kelurahan Cipageran Kecamatan Cimahi Utara Kota Cimahi. Pendekatan penelitian adalah kualitatif dan pengambilan sampel penelitian adalah purposif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi, kemudian menggunakan analisis data interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Komunikasi formal tidak bisa dipisahkan dari komunikasi informal dalam proses penelitian dan pelaksanaan di PKBM. Komunikasi formal dilakukan setelah akses terbuka dan untuk mempertegas suatu tujuan kegiatan. Kemudian dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan sosialisasi, penyuluhan, dan studi banding. (2) Kegagalan proses komunikasi informal, mengakibatkan resistensi, kurang mendapat dukungan, timbul kecurigaan, bahkan bisa terjadi penolakan dari informan penelitian. (3) Komunikasi formal memiliki sifat terstruktur, terfokus, dan adanya interaksi simbol atas nama status institusi atau lembaga dari para pelaku komunikasi. Sedangkan komunikasi informal sifatnya tidak terstruktur, proses dialog lebih bebas atau tidak kaku yang bisa berlangsung lama, walaupun pembahasan bisa saja tidak fokus. Interaksi mengutamakan keakraban atau menjalin hubungan yang intens.  Kata Kunci: Komunikasi, PKBM, Pendidikan Luar Sekolah, formal, informal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keunggulan SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pucang Surabaya, prestasi yang diraih, dan upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam mewujudkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pucang Surabaya memiliki beberapa keunggulan, antara lain: Juara Umum ME Award Special Edition 2022, Sekolah Ramah Anak, ROBOCUP ASIA PASIFIC SINGAPORE, Olimpiade Nasional Sains dan Matematika, Kejuaraan Olahraga, dan lain-lain. Dan untuk Prestasi yang diraih SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pucang Surabaya meliputi berbagai bidang, seperti kesenian, lingkungan, olahraga, matematika dan agama. Upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam mewujudkan keunggulan dan prestasi tersebut antara lain: Pembiasaan dan pembinaan. Dukungan sekolah dan kerja sama dengan orang tua. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pucang Surabaya merupakan sekolah dasar yang memiliki banyak keunggulan dan prestasi. Upaya yang dilakukan sekolah dalam mewujudkannya patut diapresiasi dan dapat menjadi contoh bagi sekolah lainnya.

Abstract

Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) merupakan inovasi kurikulum yang bertujuan membentuk karakter siswa sesuai nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi dan dampak awal P5 terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa di SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pucang Surabaya menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan P5 memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap penguatan karakter siswa, seperti sikap mandiri, religius, gotong royong, dan kepedulian sosial. Kegiatan seperti pembiasaan ibadah, gerakan literasi sekolah, pentas seni, dan bazar kewirausahaan mendorong siswa untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam keseharian. Meskipun demikian, beberapa tantangan juga ditemukan, seperti keterbatasan pemahaman guru dan sarana pendukung. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa P5 memiliki potensi besar dalam memperkuat pendidikan karakter jika didukung oleh pelatihan guru, kolaborasi sekolah, dan kebijakan yang konsisten. Dengan demikian, P5 layak untuk terus dikembangkan sebagai bagian integral dari pembelajaran kontekstual dan transformatif di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of educational technology in fostering the critical thinking abilities of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Wargabinangun, Kaliwedi Subdistrict. The background of the study is the lack of integration of critical thinking habits in learning and the scarcity of varied learning resources. The method used is qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that the use of educational technology can enhance learning activities as well as students' critical thinking skills. Out of 33 students, 28 (80%) have completed the requirements, while 5 (20%) others have not yet completed, surpassing the target set at 75%. Thus, educational technology has proven to be effective in improving students' critical thinkingabilities.

Abstract

Traditional lecture-based teaching methods in Indonesian elementary schools often result in passive learning environments and suboptimal academic achievement, particularly in integrated subjects requiring cultural understanding. The scramble learning model, an interactive game-based approach involving the arrangement of scrambled words and sentences, has emerged as a promising pedagogical strategy to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. This study investigated the effect of the scramble learning model on academic achievement among fourth-grade students learning the theme "Indonesia's Rich Culture" at SDN 1 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency. A pre-experimental design with one-group pretest-posttest configuration was employed. All 32 fourth-grade students participated in the study. Data were collected using a validated 20-item multiple-choice achievement test administered before and after the scramble model intervention. Statistical analysis included Shapiro-Wilk normality testing, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test for hypothesis testing, and normalized gain (N-Gain) calculation to assess effect size.  Student academic achievement improved significantly from a pretest mean of 56.25 to a posttest mean of 87.5. The Wilcoxon test revealed a statistically significant difference (p = 0.000 < 0.05), with all 32 students showing positive performance gains. The N-Gain score of 0.78 indicated high effectiveness according to Hake's classification. The percentage of students achieving minimum competency criteria increased from 31.25% to 75%. The scramble learning model significantly enhances academic achievement in elementary cultural education. The universal improvement across all participants demonstrates the model's effectiveness in transforming passive learning environments into active, engaging educational experiences. These findings support the implementation of interactive, game-based learning strategies in Indonesian elementary schools to improve student outcomes in integrated thematic curricula.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has gained recognition for fostering collaborative skills, yet limited research explores cooperation development mechanisms in elementary Civics Education contexts. This qualitative case study examined PjBL implementation and cooperation development among 28 fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Plumbon. Data were collected through structured classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with students and teacher, and documentation analysis. Data analysis employed Miles and Huberman's interactive model with triangulation to ensure validity. Findings revealed that cooperation developed progressively through four key mechanisms: equitable role distribution ensuring individual contributions, inclusive communication promoting equal participation, positive interdependence fostering collective responsibility, and collaborative conflict resolution facilitated by teacher mediation. Students demonstrated enhanced solidarity, democratic decision-making, and spontaneous helping behaviors. Teacher facilitation emerged as the most critical supporting factor, while time constraints presented manageable challenges that ultimately strengthened organizational skills. The classroom environment's flexibility and clear project goals significantly enhanced collaborative engagement. Results align with social constructivist and social interdependence theories, confirming PjBL's effectiveness in developing cooperation through social interaction within the Zone of Proximal Development. The findings extend existing literature by demonstrating specific cooperation development mechanisms while providing practical implementation strategies for elementary Civics Education aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile and Merdeka Curriculum frameworks.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low level of student discipline in class 3B of SDN 1 Sumber, characterized by late arrival, inattention during class, and violations of class rules. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, strategies, and impact of classroom management implemented by teachers in improving student discipline. The method used was descriptive qualitative research, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the class 3B teacher and 25 students. The results indicate that the teacher designed a classroom management plan that took into account the students' conditions, established clear rules, and provided supportive learning resources. The strategies used included a persuasive approach, the use of rewards and punishments, and the implementation of positive discipline through role modeling and habituation. The impact of these strategies is seen in improved student discipline, both in terms of punctuality, compliance with rules, and increased participation in class. In conclusion, classroom management designed systematically and humanely by teachers can create a conducive learning environment and encourage disciplined behavior in students.
