Abstract

Film dokumenter merupakan salah satu jenis genre atau ragam film. Sineas film dokumenter di Indonesia sendiri berkembang dengan pesat. Salah satunya Ravacana Films merupakan salah satu rumah produksi yang produktif dalam dunia film pendek. Pada artikel penelitian ini akan berfokus pada salah satu karya film dokumenter Ravacana Films yang berjudul Dluwang. Judul film Dluwang berbeda dengan karya Ravacana Films yang lain, film ini merupakan karya dokumenter yang merupakan representasi sosial yang nyata atau dengan kata lain tanpa rekayasa. Semiotika digunakan sebagai pisau bedah untuk melihat respresentasi sosial yang dimunculkan melalui simbol – simbol yang terdapat di dalam film Dluwang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini bahwa sosok Toni dalam film Dluwang merupakan representasi sosial dari masyrakat khususnya di Jogjakarta. Selain itu,, pekerjaan yang ditekuni oleh karakter Toni merupakan peran yang sangat penting terutama di bidang sejarah. Selain itu dalam film Dluwang, terdapat pula gambaran representasi sosial dari kurangnya kesadaran masyakarat umum tentang pentingnya peninggalan sejarah Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explain and analyze the form of the Penginang Penampi dance performance in the process of inheriting traditional dances of the Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with an interdisciplinary approach. Research data with three data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validation is carried out by means of reflection, peer opinion, and rational analysis. The data analysis technique uses data triangulation techniques. The flow of data analysis techniques used is the interactive model analysis flow starting from data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The results of the study show the following findings: the form of the Penginang Penampi dance performance in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara is the Penginang Penampi dance movement, the main movement is the initial movement, the core movement and the closing movement. The theme of the Penginang Penampi dance includes non-dramatic dance (traditional dance). the accompanying music uses gamelan gendang beleq, the costume uses the Sasak tribe's clothing, namely the "Lambung" shirt, the make-up uses local make-up, the stage design uses a proscenium stage, the lighting uses the main light and the sound system uses a sound system. The conclusion of the research that has been done, the form of the Penginang Penampi dance performance has a distinctive characteristic form, especially in the form of its movements. Therefore, the Penginang Penampi dance needs to be preserved.

Abstract

Globalisasi memberikan dampak signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, yang tanpa disadari, telah membuat generasi muda lebih tertarik pada kesenian modern. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan seni dan budaya lokal menjadi sangat penting, sebagai bagian dari pelestarian kearifan lokal. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membentuk generasi muda yang memiliki budi pekerti luhur, wawasan mengenai kearifan lokal, serta rasa cinta terhadap budaya lokal, sekaligus mendorong upaya pelestarian kebudayaan Sasak melalui pengenalan wayang Sasak di Pasraman Widya Sastra, Dusun Bengkoang, Desa Sokong, Kecamatan Tanjung, Lombok Utara. Metode yang diterapkan dalam kegiatan ini mencakup observasi, ceramah, dan pelatihan (workshop). Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa acara tersebut efektif dalam memperkenalkan seni dan budaya Sasak, khususnya wayang Sasak, kepada generasi muda melalui penggunaan media animasi, yang dipadukan dengan workshop mewarnai. Kegiatan ini terbukti berhasil meningkatkan minat peserta dan mempermudah pemahaman mereka terhadap materi yang disampaikan

Abstract

This research was written to identify various opportunities in utilizing the art of presean as the main attraction for tourists. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The data collection technique used in this research is descriptive method. The results of the study show that the art of presean has great potential in attracting tourists, especially in the village of Sade, which is a traditional village of the Lombok people considering that Lombok has nature that is still preserved and conservative. The results of this study reveal the lack of interest in tourism and the lack of interest of the local community in knowing the great potential in the art of presean as a form of economy in Lombok. The contribution of this research can be that an integrated planning of the sade village is carried out so that the growth and development of tourism activities there runs well as a whole in the entire tourist area of the sade village especially the presean event, as well as motivation in cultural interests especially young people and the planning of economic activities,, improving various service qualities that are considered poor by tourists and promotive and implementation efforts are improved.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the various roles of art in promoting tourism in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). It explores different forms of art and how they can be utilized to attract tourists, as well as analyzing the impact of art on the number of tourist visits. The research employs a qualitative approach to gain an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the social and cultural phenomena related to the role of art in tourism promotion in NTB Province. The data collected from the field are then analyzed thematically by identifying patterns and themes that emerge. The findings of this study reveal that art, including performing arts, visual arts, and traditional arts, significantly contributes to attracting tourists. The integration of art into tourism promotion also supports the preservation of local culture. Overall, traditional arts in West Nusa Tenggara not only serve an aesthetic function but also play a central role in promoting tourism, cultural education, and the local economy. The results of this research provide valuable insights for local governments in formulating policies and strategies for tourism development. By understanding the role of art in tourism promotion, governments can more effectively allocate resources and support artistic activities that attract tourists.

Abstract

Kain tenun merupakan komponen yang tak terpisahkan dari kekayaan budaya Indonesia yang memadai. Artikel ini mengenalkan kain tenun Kembang Kerang dari Pulau Lombok sebagai representasi penting dari warisan tekstil tradisional. Penelitian ini menyoroti tantangan yang dihadapi dalam upaya pelestarian dan promosi kain tenun, terutama dalam konteks hak kekayaan intelektual (HKI). Meskipun memiliki potensi besar sebagai aset pariwisata dan warisan budaya, kain tenun Kembang Kerang belum sepenuhnya diberikan perlindungan hukum yang memadai. Metodologi penelitian menggunakan pendekatan empiris untuk menganalisis kain tenun Kembang Kerang dan mengidentifikasi tantangan terkait perlindungan HKI. Temuan kami menunjukkan bahwa, meskipun kain tenun ini memiliki nilai budaya yang tinggi, perlindungan hukumnya masih minim, khususnya dalam hal pendaftaran hak cipta. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa kain tenun Kembang Kerang memiliki daya tarik yang kuat, tidak hanya sebagai produk seni, tetapi juga sebagai simbol status sosial dan budaya. Namun, tanpa perlindungan hukum yang memadai, kain tenun ini rentan terhadap penggunaan tidak sah dan plagiarisme. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya penguatan hak kekayaan intelektual untuk melindungi dan mempromosikan kain tenun Kembang Kerang. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga memberikan saran konkret, termasuk dukungan aktif dari pemerintah, peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat lokal, dan kolaborasi antara berbagai pemangku kepentingan. Diharapkan bahwa melalui implementasi saran-saran ini, kain tenun Kembang Kerang dapat mendapatkan perlindungan hukum yang lebih baik dan menjadi simbol kebanggaan budaya yang mendukung pembangunan ekonomi dan pariwisata di Pulau Lombok.

Abstract

Artistic communication can be defined as the process of exchanging information, ideas, and expressions through the medium of art. In the context of performance, artistic communication not only involves the interaction between artists and the audience but also encompasses the ways in which cultural values and traditions are conveyed and understood. In relation to this perspective, this research aims to elucidate the patterns and processes of artistic communication in the Dongkrek performance in Madiun. The objective of this study is to analyse and delve into the artistic communication within the Dongkrek performance in Madiun. Specifically, this research aims to identify the elements of communication present in the performance. The method employed in this study is a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Observations were conducted during the Dongkrek performance to understand the dynamics of communication occurring between the artists and the audience. Dongkrek in Madiun functions not only as entertainment but also as an important medium for cultural communication. Dongkrek, which is part of the local performing arts tradition, conveys the social, cultural, and identity values of the Madiun community. Through the analysis of various elements in the performance, including music, dance, and narrative, it was found that Dongkrek possesses the ability to convey profound messages to its audience.

Abstract

Directing is a very important pragment in the creative process of theater performances without a director a group will have difficulty in questioning its existence. Odop Theater as a student theater group experiences a lack of directors and regeneration in its community. With this directing training, it is hoped that directors will begin to be regenerated. The training used the methods of 1) experience-based approach, 2) discussion or delivery of directing material, 3) technical training, and 4) performance. The results of the training found that there is potential in students to become a director as evidenced by the results of the training one of the participants managed to create a performance. The performance was staged at the Student Theater Week 2025 competition at Taman Budaya Nusa Teanggara Barat. With the presence of a director in the Odop theater of SMA 6 Mataram, it is hoped that its existence as a theater continues to develop and revive creativity in the studio.

Abstract

Animation media is a form of transferring Sasak wayang media from traditional media to a new form of media or presentation. This research focuses on a two-dimensional (2D) animation work entitled Getting to Know Wayang Sasak. This research aims to determine the content of the message conveyed by the creator in the animated work with the target audience being children aged six to twelve years, or those in elementary school. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Research data collection techniques are through observation and literature study. The results of the research show that the Getting to Know Wayang Sasak animation is a media animation that contains information about Sasak wayang figures or characters. The constructivism of the message content carried out by the creator is in line with the one-way communication model. The animated characters are also the result of the creator's idea which refers to the original Sasak wayang characters or puppets, and the content of the message in this animation is adapted to the target audience, namely children aged six to twelve years, or those who are still in elementary school.

Abstract

Kegiatan mewarnai merupakan sarana penting untuk mengembangkan keterampilan motorik halus, kreativitas, dan konsentrasi anak. Namun, observasi awal di bimbingan belajar menunjukkan masih rendahnya kemampuan anak dalam memilih dan memadukan warna, serta ketidakrapian dalam teknik pewarnaan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan mewarnai anak melalui penerapan model ATIK (Amati, Tiru, Kerjakan). Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan model Kurt Lewin, terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Pada siklus pertama, anak-anak diberi penjelasan teori tanpa contoh konkret, sedangkan siklus kedua menerapkan model ATIK dengan demonstrasi langsung. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada siklus kedua, di mana anak-anak mampu meniru contoh, mengombinasikan warna secara harmonis, dan menghasilkan karya lebih rapi. Analisis refleksi mengungkap bahwa pendampingan berbasis observasi dan peniruan efektif meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, namun perlu diimbangi stimulasi kreativitas agar anak tidak hanya terpaku pada contoh. Kontribusi pengabdian ini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mewarnai anak, khususnya dalam aspek kreativitas dan ketelitian.
