This study adopts a mixed-methods approach that integrates both quantitative and qualitative elements. Interviews with visitors, managers, and local communities provide in-depth qualitative insights into their perceptions and experiences regarding the ecotourism destination. These qualitative data are then analyzed alongside the quantitative data to obtain a more comprehensive understanding of the influence of destination attributes on visitors' intentions. The survey, involving 116 respondents, used a research instrument containing 39 questions, designed based on purchase decision theory and marketing mix. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics, correlation tests, and multinomial regression. The findings of this study reveal that visitors tend to interpret cultural symbols based on their personal experiences and social backgrounds. For example, some visitors associate certain symbols with modern values, while others understand them in the context of deeper traditions. Therefore, interpretations of cultural symbols can vary depending on individual perspectives, reflecting the complexity of understanding culture in a broader context. These findings also emphasize that visitor behavior iss greatly influenced by how they interpret symbols and meanings within the cultural ecosystem in Bandar Lampung. Furthermore, the study reveals how ecotourism attributes shape visitor experience and satisfaction, as well as the role of local cultural elements in deepening their understanding of ecotourism. Therefore, the findings of this study provide a significant contribution to the development of sustainable ecotourism, emphasizing the importance of cultural aspects in the design and management of nature-based tourism destinations

Abstract

Indonesia has a diverse range of cultures that enable individuals to utilize their cultural identity as a representation of their values in politics. This study analyzes the role of customary law in local politics in Lampung as a cultural legitimacy strategy for expanding the electoral base. Data from mass media between 2020 and 2024 indicate that 15 traditional title conferral ceremonies were held for 26 political figures at both local and national levels. Based on this dataset, a media content analysis was conducted, focusing on four key elements: the recipients’ names, their status or political positions, the customary titles they received, and the authorities conferring these titles. The conferral process serves as a cultural legitimization strategy, enabling political candidates to present themselves as figures who understand and respect local values and traditions. In relation to the legislative elections, regional head elections, and the presidential election, these events reveal a tendency for political activities to be closely associated with individuals who receive traditional titles. This phenomenon represents the articulation of social and cultural capital in political dynamics, aiming to expand the electoral base. However, this reality also presents a critical challenge, especially in maintaining the authenticity of customary traditions so that they do not become merely a pragmatic instrument in political contestation. Therefore, regulations and cultural awareness are necessary to preserve the essence of tradition, ensuring it remains an integral part of society.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become an important strategy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to improve competitiveness and business sustainability in the digital economy era. However, many MSMEs in Tanjung Senang Village still experience limited digital literacy and low adoption of digital business platforms. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of participatory mentoring-based digital transformation for MSMEs through QRIS activation, Google Maps registration, and business banner creation. The study employed a participatory action research design with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The population consisted of MSMEs in Tanjung Senang Village, while the sample involved six target MSMEs assisted by 13 university students during the Community Service Program. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and program evaluation sheets. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using achievement percentages for each program indicator. The results showed that banner creation achieved 100%, Google Maps registration reached 66.7%, and QRIS activation reached 33.3%, with an overall program achievement of 66.7%. The study concludes that participatory mentoring effectively improves MSME digital readiness, business visibility, and technology adoption, although digital literacy and administrative readiness remain major challenges
