Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between individual characteristics and the performance of medical recorders at Community Health Centers in the Mataram City area. The research used a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 43 people. Bivariate analysis was used with a confidence level of 95% and a p-value <0.05. The study showed that there was no significant relationship between gender (p=0.737) and the performance of medical record officers. On the other hand, there were a relationship between educational background and performance with p=0.036, length of service and performance with p=0.036, age and performance with p=0.006. Additionally, employment status and performance with p=0.001, and training and performance with p=0.019. Therefore, individual characteristics such as educational qualifications, length of service, age, employment status, and training play an important role in improving the performance of medical record officers at Community Health Centers in the Mataram area. Abstract

Platelets are one of the components of blood that have a major function in blood clotting. When the platelet level is above the normal range (> 400,000/microliter of blood) it is called thrombocytosis. When the platelet level is below the normal range (<150,000/microliter) it is called thrombocytopenia. This study aims to analyze the number of platelets against active smokers and passive smokers in students of the Polytechnic Medica Farma Husada Mataram 2021. The sample of this study was the blood of students who smoked as active and passive smokers. The method used is the direct method (Rees Ecker) with units of thousand/mm3. The results showed an increase in platelet count in active smokers to 211,500/mm3 and a decrease in platelet count in passive smokers by 130,750/mm3. Thus, there is a quantitative difference in the number of platelets in active smokers and passive smokers in college students.

Abstract

Health check-ups play an important role in maintaining and improving the health of individuals, especially in rural communities such as Terong Tawah Village. These health checks are not only to diagnose diseases, but also to prevent diseases and improve overall health. The purpose of this activity is to provide an understanding of the importance of health checks for residents in Terong Tawah Village as a Vital Investment in Public Health. The method used in the implementation of this activity is a collaboration between lecturers and students of Politeknik Medica Farma Husada Mataram with Community Health Centre (CHC) officers who can increase the effectiveness of health checks in Terong Tawah Village, Labuapi District, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara in January 2024. Blood pressure and blood sugar checks play an important role in maintaining good health, preventing chronic diseases, and improving the overall well-being of the community. By emphasizing the importance of monitoring these vital signs, individuals can take proactive steps to achieve better health outcomes, while community-wide screening initiatives can have a positive impact on public health. Prioritizing regular check-ups for blood pressure and blood sugar is crucial to promoting a healthier society. As such, increasing public awareness of blood pressure and blood sugar levels is critical to improving overall health and well-being. Abstract

One form of activity in health promotion is in the form of socialization that we do. These activities strengthen the skills and abilities of individuals to take action, and the capacity of groups or communities to act collectively to exercise control over the determinants of health. Socialization activities strengthen the skills and abilities of individuals to take action, and the capacity of groups or communities to act collectively to exercise control over the determinants of health. This activity uses lecture, discussion and question and answer methods with residents. The location of the activity was Persil Village, Central Lombok with 25 participants and accompanied by 3 lecturers and 5 students. The results of our socialization show that local residents need solutions to health problems and hope that Hydrogen Rich Water (AKH) is a solution to the disease problems that they and their families are currently facing. The knowledge of the local community is still categorized as low and requires special attention from the local government and stakeholders. Some residents who participated in the activity had a history of their own diseases, such as gastritis, cholesterol, high blood pressure, allergies and some of their families also had a history of certain diseases, such as kidney stones, diabetes, stroke, cancer and so on. Persil villagers gained knowledge about health, especially the differences in various kinds of water consumed daily. The villagers originally thought that all water is the same, but after we provided information about water, the villagers became more understanding and more selective about the drinks they consume daily.

Abstract

Scabies is a global public health problem that affects millions of people worldwide, especially in crowded and underdeveloped places. Similar difficulties arise at Rumak Village, a rural community in West Lombok, where cramped living quarters encourage the development of scabies. The primary goal of this research is to pinpoint the critical factors affecting the village's scabies transmission. Using a cross-sectional methodology, 483 families' preventive practices were investigated between January and July of 2023. Chi-Square tests were used to analyse the data, which were gathered by questionnaires. A p-value threshold of 0.05 and a 95% confidence interval were used for the analysis. The results showed a substantial correlation (p = 0.000) between the occurrence of scabies and poor handwashing habits, poor household cleanliness, sharing personal objects, and infrequent bathing. Scabies is more common in families who bathe only once a day, interchange personal belongings regularly, have dirty surroundings, and wash their hands infrequently.
