Abstract

Keberadaan rumah baca sebagai implementasi Gerakan Literasi dalam pendidikan anak di Desa Sembalun Lawang, Kecamatan Sembalun, menjadi fokus utama. Literasi anak adalah perhatian sentral, meskipun muncul beberapa tantangan. Awalnya, rumah baca adalah tempat aktif untuk berbagai tingkat pendidikan, mulai dari TK hingga SMA. Namun, saat ini, kami menyaksikan perkembangan yang mengkhawatirkan, di mana rumah baca mengalami penelantaran dan kondisinya menjadi kotor. Literasi mencakup pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang diperlukan peserta didik untuk mengakses, memahami, menganalisis, dan mengevaluasi informasi, menciptakan pemahaman, mengekspresikan gagasan, berinteraksi dengan orang lain, dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan sekolah dan di luar sekolah. Salah satu pendekatan untuk mempromosikan literasi di luar sekolah adalah dengan mengembangkan rumah baca, seperti yang telah ada di Sembalun Lawang. Namun, di Sembalun Lawang, ada tantangan besar yang harus diatasi terkait rumah baca. Anak-anak di daerah tersebut jarang mengunjungi rumah baca karena berbagai alasan. Upaya lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk mengatasi hambatan ini dan menjadikan rumah baca sebagai sarana efektif untuk meningkatkan literasi di masyarakat. Pendampingan gerakan literasi anak melalui rumah baca meningkatkan motivasi, minat baca anak dengan meningkatnya antusias anak dalam literasi baca, banyak menguasai kosakata dan mufradat. Selain itu, anak-anak juga sudah mulai meningkat minat dalam membaca cerita-cerita.

Abstract

The waste problem along the coast of Persiapan Empol Village poses a serious threat to the environment and community welfare, primarily due to household, market, and daily waste that is often carelessly disposed of into the river. In response, the Thematic Community Service Team from Universitas Mataram implemented a program to raise community awareness about waste management and empower them to transform waste into environmentally and economically beneficial products. This activity aims to increase public awareness of environmental issues, particularly waste management. The methods used include socialization, practical training, and community empowerment, focusing on enhancing community participation. As a result, residents are now more aware of the importance of waste management, and the village administration has provided land for a temporary disposal site (TPS) and urged residents not to dispose of waste in the river. This program demonstrates positive progress in efforts to preserve the coastal environment.

Abstract

Community Service Program (KKN) is a form of community service activities carried out by universities. In the KKN activities carried out in Giri Madia Village, Lingsar District, West Lombok Regency, groups of students and lecturers of Mataram University carried out various activities with the main target of utilizing home yards by making palm seedling houses. The purpose of implementing this KKN activity is to answer the problem of the large amount of vacant land in the yard that is not used and not maintained in Giri Madia village. So the KKN group conducted mentoring activities in the utilization of home yards for making palm seedling houses. There are 6 methods of activities carried out, namely (1) observation, (2) socialization, (3) practice, (4) distribution of plant seeds, (5) monitoring, and (6) evaluation. The results of this activity are expected to increase the knowledge and skills of the Giri Madia Village community regarding the utilization of home yards so that the community can still apply it. The results of the above activities show that this KKN activity has been able to help problems in terms of the utilization of home yards that are not utilized as one of the lands to cultivate quality palm seeds because palm plants that grow wild make people reluctant to cultivate them, it is also expected that the knowledge and skills of the community can increase and the results can help the economy of the Giri Madia Village community.

Abstract

The card sort method can be used as an alternative method which is felt to better understand the characteristics of students. This research aims to improve student learning outcomes on Asmaul Husna's Example material by applying the Card sort method in class VI SDN 03 Baruah Gunuang with the variable that is the target of change in this research is learning outcomes, while the action variable used in this research is the method Card sort. This research is classroom action research carried out in 2 cycles, each cycle consisting of 4 stages, namely planning, implementation/action, observation/observation, and reflection. The data collection techniques used are observation and tests. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes continue to increase until they reach a significant increase. The data description shows that there has been an increase in the value of student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the class average score in the initial observation (pre-cycle) from 66 to 72 in cycle I and 82 in cycle II. Classical completeness was 39% in the initial observation, rising to 62% in cycle I and 90% in cycle II. Thus, a recommendation can be put forward that the application of the Card sort method can improve student learning outcomes in the Noble Asmaul Husna Example material for the 2024/2025 academic year. Abstract

Desa Persiapan Empol has natural potential in the form of mangrove ecosystems, fish ponds, and salt, which can be integrated into environmental-based learning. To optimize learning and the understanding of children about local potential while also improving their English proficiency, a contextual and interactive educational approach is needed. This program aims to improve the English competency of children aged 7-13 years and foster an environmental love through learning based on the village’s natural potential. The activities involve socialization and practical methods conducted in the Bertong, Madak, and Empol hamlets. The results of the activities show an improvement in the children's English skills, particularly in speaking and descriptive writing, as well as an increase in their awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. This program also introduces the village's natural resources as valuable assets that need to be preserved, helping children understand the ecological and economic value of local resources

Abstract

The Bagek Kembar Mangrove Ecosystem, located in Persiapan Empol Village, holds considerable potential for ecotourism development and sustainable natural resource utilization. This mangrove forest not only functions as a natural coastal barrier but also presents economic opportunities, such as the production of herbal coffee from mangrove fruits. This community service initiative aimed to increase public awareness of the various benefits of mangroves, with a particular focus on utilizing Rhizophora sp. fruits for coffee production. The program was implemented in two phases: an educational session on mangrove coffee and a hands-on training workshop on its production. The results demonstrated an improvement in the community's understanding of how mangrove fruits can be transformed into innovative products. During the second phase, participants received practical training on the step-by-step process of making mangrove coffee, which was produced in two variants: 100% pure mangrove coffee powder and a blended variant with additional ingredients.

Abstract

Pendidikan Agama Islam selama ini cenderung menggunakan metode dan pendekatan yang monoton sehingga proses pembelajaran kurang menarik dan kurang aktif. Hasil penelitian ini menjawab berbagai masalah tentang aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam melalui penerapan jigsaw di kelas 5 ( Lima ) di SD Negeri 08 Gadut, serta peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilakukan dengan dua siklus dan empat tahap pelaksanaan; perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dengan observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode jigsaw pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam pada materi kewajiban beribadah dan bersyukur kepada Allah SWT meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas kelas 5 ( Lima ) di SD Negeri 08 Gadut pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2024/2025. Berhasilnya penerapan metode jigsaw diketahui dari adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I, aktivitas guru mendapat nilai rata rata 2,50 dengan kategori cukup baik, aktivitas siswa mendapat nilai rata 3,00 dengan kategori baik dan hasil belajar siswa memperoleh nilai ketuntasan 75% dengan nilai tidak tuntas 25%. Pada siklus II aktivitas guru mendapat nilai rata rata 3,00 dengan kategori baik, aktivitas siswa mendapat nilai rata 3,60 dengan kategori sangat baik dan hasil belajar siswa memperoleh nilai ketuntasan 90% dengan nilai tidak tuntas 10%. Siswa lebih aktif dan terampil dalam proses pembelajaran. Guru lebih terampil, variatif dalam kegiatan mengajar, penggunaan metode. Kesimpulannya model jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam materi kewajiban beribadah dan bersyukur kepada Allah SWT
